And a huge fine and jail for Americans who don't purchase this horrible and inferior insurance! What a huge injustice. This once was a free country.

Americans are stressed out. Afraid of losing their jobs. Rent and house payments are much too high. Americans are struggling to survive. And for those who don't have and don't want health insurance because they need to spend their hard-earned money on food, rent and living expenses, the proposed health care is a nightmare from hell.

And America is bankrupt.

You are correct, but it is not “morally” speaking. Morals have nothing to do with it. It is constitutionally incorrect. You do have point about the 13th amendment, unfortunately we are very limited in our ability to sue the government for the manner in which they spend tax money, but the 13th amendment is another angle.

The problem is that paid protesters have infiltrated the internet and one does not wonder who they represent because their comments contain nothing supporting their stance other than to claim everyone else to be of limited mental capacity. Judge their comments for yourself and ignore the diatribe, emphatically.

One only has to example the problems inherent with the VA Health Care system to realize what is in store for the rest of those that think government run health is sustainable without a multitude of non-profit organization lending support and plenty of space in homeless shelters.

I've noticed what Bubba4 always does, his modus operandi, if you will. He simply makes ad hominem attacks on the columnist yet fails to refute any of the facts that are put forth.

It seems to me that if I absolutely had fact on my side and could use it to counter a position of someone I opposed, I wouldn't miss the opportunity.

It is sad to see Morris repeating the attack, “cutting Medicare” in the last paragraph. This was the phony attack liberals always hammer Republicans with. In the 90's, when Republicans proposed slowing the growth of Medicare, Democrats said they were “cutting” Medicare. A slow growth or an incremental increase is not a “cut”. It was not right for Dem's to make this attack, and not right for Republicans either. Democrats “cut” Medicare? Yeah right.

Morally speaking, proscirbing a mandate for collectivized healthcare is analogous to slavery/indentured servitude. Which is in violation of the 13th amendment. The Irony of it all is this: 47% of Americans do not pay federal income tax. So you see, it is necessary for the government to force everyone to share in the medical expenses of “the community” but not so important for everyone to pony up for the common defense, or the air traffic control system, or the Centers for Disease Control.
