Very simple: Israel should tell the world that if the Inhuman Rights Council pursue these bogus charges, that it will henceforth revert to the methodology of warfare used by the Arabs wherever they exist, Russians in Chechnya, Chinese in Tibet, Americans in Afghanistan and Iraq, French in Algeria, or any other number of conflicts. None of these elicited any complaints even though the death tolls are in the tens and hundreds of thousands of civilians. Israel should effectively put on notice that the next Katyusha from Lebanon or Qazzam from Gaza (or anywhere else) will have as a response a simple carpet bombing campaign a la American or Russia. Like that Israel can be in the company of all other countries rather than try to be more moral. The latter countries can get away with wholesale wanton destruction but Israel can't defend itself against genocidal hatred - unbelievable.

Absurd interpretation of humanitarian law.
New parameters for future conflicts between Israel and Arab terror organizations and armies have been established by the International Committee of the Red Cross. Based on what the ICRC calls International Humanitarian Law, the assumption of Goldstone's Report is that a clear differentiation was not made between civilian and military targets; even when the civilian population is sympathetic to and involved with the enemy and is used, willingly or not, as shields, the IDF has no right to attack. These invalid assertions can only be rejected energetically and without delay. But most important, not only Israel is concerned as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2009/10...
