Such tactics are despicable, whether practiced by the Republicans or Democrats, even though the ugly reality of politics in DC makes them understandable. Hopefully one of the results of the 'tea party', 'townhall' and DC demonstration mobilizations will be a demand by the public that bills be passed with greater transparency and openness, and that VOTERS get to participate actively in evaluating and commenting on the bills. Obama helped us to learn that we cannot trust our 'representatives' in DC and that we must become more actively engaged in determining our future. We should restrict the amount of legislation that is considered by Congress to the most essential so that we do not become full-time watchdogs on the Congress and the President, but we clearly cannot leave them alone to ruin our prosperity, security, and pursuit of happiness. We MUST find a way to make them ACCOUNTABLE TO US!

Beyond the Democratic or Republican, the independant or apolitical, this country needs only three things to heal:

1) The Plain Language Amendment

2) Elimination of private campaign finance by establishing government funds for ALL election campaigns; local, state or federal.

3) Which will result in politicians (on both sides) that pay as much attention to the equity behind Congressional procedures as they now do to using them to pervert the legislative process in their favor (on both sides).

Another nice side effect would be politicians that listen to the people instead of the interest groups with the deepest pockets.

What do you expect from a Congress that has at least 112 Socialist/Communist members? The DSA (Pelosi is a memeber)is directly linked to the Communist Party USA.The Black Progressive Caucus,ditto. “Progressive” means Marxist.
