Muslim and race are not equal–a person of ANY race may choose to serve Allah as dictated by the Koran, hadith, and the tradition of jurisprudence as defined by the several schools of Islam and their clerics. There is no racism involved in the factual declaration that serving in the US military which requires an oath of allegiance and serving Allah which also requires an oath are totally incompatible–no race involved in oath taking.

I wonder if anyone has realized that the al Qaeda model–individuals acting independently and violently against forces that they perceive to be a threat–can be employed by non-Muslims? Are there any examples?

When Muslims follow this path, it sure complicates interdiction by our intelligence, military, and law enforcement assets….

Foolishly, everyone continues to use the reasoning that those who demonstrate their faithfulness to the 'Ummah' are “radicalized.” There are levels of belief and at sometime in every Muslim's life, they must determine if they are 'shirk' or 'shaheed.' There is dar-al- Islam and dar-al-harb. Every Muslim must make a choice. When a true believer confronts a 'moderate, the moderate must decide; do I die a shirk who is guaranteed hell or do I die a shaheed and go to paradise to receive my 'horas.' Even as the fox in the parable of the fox and the scorpion was seduced by the reassuring words of the scorpion; so the west continues to believe her executioner. “Islam is a religion of peace!”

Despite her good intentions, Representative Myrick epitomizes our nation's gross ignorance of Islam.

Hasan, and others like him, are not 'radicalized' Muslims and they are not members of a 'radical global ideology'. They are neither the practicioners of--nor the adherents of--radical Islam. And they--including so-called 'radical imams'--are not extremists.

They are literalists; as Islam expects Allah's slaves to be.

Until we, as a nation, address the real problem, which is Islam--as it's written--our fellow citizens will not learn what Islam really teaches and they by will continue to be told by the deceitful and the ignorant among us that Islam is a religion of peace that has been hijacked by a tiny minority of extremists.

The politically correct behavior of our elected officials and military brass is a direct result of their personal ignorance of Islam. Indeed, how many of them could cite even a single Qur'anic passage? And over the past few days, how many times have we been told that Allahu Akbar means 'God is great' and that it is the jihadists' rallying cry.

It's 'God is greatest' for those who might inquire, and did they all miss the chants of 'Allahu Akbar' at Keith Ellison's election night 'victory'?

Did any of the army personnel who were subjected to Hasan's Powerpoint presentation know that it was factual?

Yes, Ms. Myrick, we must identify our enemy.

So let's stop pretending that we are fighting radical Muslims.
