McCotter Condemns Administration’s Decision to Try Terrorists in Civilian Court

Washington, DC – Eight years ago, terrorists declared war on the United States by murdering three thousand souls in New York City, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

Now, the Obama Administration has announced its decision to try 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other terrorists in a U.S. civilian court in New York City, one of the very scenes of their barbaric acts of terrorism.

U.S. Representative Thaddeus G. McCotter condemned the administration’s dangerous decision: “The War for Freedom against terrorism is a martial matter, not a criminal matter. It is wrong for this administration to care more about the A.C.L.U.’S radical ideology than about Americans’ national security.”
