If it weren't for Sean Hannity, I'd bet you'd peg Nugent as a commie tree hugger if you didn't know better.

Right when it seems like the conservatives are getting over their prejudices and are arguing with facts for the long fight of "TakingAmericaBack," someone like you comes along and makes it so clear why the youth culture would rather die than join us in the push for INDIVIDUALISM'S return and the pursuit of freedom. And between you and Mr. Stowell, I can't say that I blame them!

An another ad hominum (suggesting that I am unmanly) used as an attempt to make me look like a fool because of your idiotic first ad hominum still makes you look quite silly. I personally don't care what you look like nor for how long nor what "most" folks who have long hair have seemed to you. Nor do I have to prove my manhood to you. Honest debate requires sticking to the facts and leaving the accidentals like looks and manly boastings out.
Now, your cheap tactic to accuse me of not having a sense of humour is another sad attempt to deflect attention from your poor arguing technique onto to me. It doesn't follow.
I have a great sense of humour, and in the proper context, I can laugh with the best of them about long hair, short hair, skin color, culture, manliness, etc.
This was not that context. If you can't muster an apology, then keeping silent would be the next best thing.
Now, if you were really attempting comedy then may I suggest a lot more practice for your comment was not funny, nor witty, but vile. Sarcasm is very hard to put into print.
Hopefully, this would be the end of it, but going by your attitude, your not the type to ever admit being wrong, and that's a shame.
Oh, do you sense any "subtle attempts" here? Think again Mr. Manly Man with the rude remarks and the empty mind, I have openly stated my contempt for your remark from my first comment.

We are through the looking-glass now, folks. We have a completely out-of-control federal government. The senate no more cares that fewer than 40% of the people want anything to do with their Zimbabwe-style medicine show than they care that the "science" of global warming is a tissue of lies. This has never been about "health care" or "climate change"-- The extreme radical statist Stalinist Democrats in the House, the Senate and the White House only care about a fundamental realignment in the relationship between the government and the governed, and they don't give a damn who and what they have to bulldoze through to realize their dream-- A dream seventy years in the making. Give the radical Dems points for doggedness.

Make no mistake. While we insects out here in fly-over country debate the byzantine minutia, or this provision of the bill, or that provision of the bill, the Senate is roaring full steam ahead to stuff this piece of crap down the throats of the American people. When they are done, we won't be debating the whole issue anymore, we will only be chit-chatting about how to "tweak" the new law-- and the HHS secretary will be more powerful than the Secretary of Defense -- over YOUR life. It will profoundly disfigure how the people approach the government-- not as representatives of us, but as petty tyrants, no longer responsive to us, but lording power of life and death over us.

This is a nightmare from which we will not awaken, unless the Republicans get some balls of iron and run as a solid phalanx of a party that will vote to repeal this monster the moment they are give the majority back.. And then line up to override the inevitable presidential veto. Otherwise, America ceases to exist. It's that simple.

Dear michelle,
Thank you for your brilliant commentaries in general!
Please wait patiently with me. I know that no matter how many "wins" this America hating "president" thinks he's racking up, we will not only wipe out all his slick and sleazey "innovations." We will inevitably overcompensate and not only reverse every single one of his communist ideas, but we will establish stuff they will vomit from. We all want our country back and when we do get it back, we are going to keep it the exact way we want it for a long, long, long time!
He's playin' with us.
We will not be playing.

There is a reason for this. Medicare is hugely popular.

I know Malkin and those like her pride themselves on scaring old people and so they have had to shoot down a "public" option as evil communism, while supporting Medicare and saying it's awesome. I know on FPM, Medicare and Medicaid are failed Marxist endeavors, but Republican politicians can't afford to be that way out here in reality.

You may be the exception to the rule that I implied existed in people with that appearance--I was one of them at one time. I thought I was telegraphing sophistication with that look but now realize I was just buying into a stereotype that has turned out to be anything but a mark of sophistication. I was just having a little fun--'sorry about your not having a sense of humor. You're wrong about it being ad hominem--I have, generally found that, in people who look like that, they tend to suffer the same delusions I did. That look, for the entirety of my life (57 years), has generally been taken, undeservedly, among those on the Left, as the look of someone who is more thoughtful, sophisticated and, in an arcane way, morally superior, etc. than I have ever found any of them to actually be. Zeal had nothing to do with it nor is zeal a bad thing as your subtle attempt at a dig would imply. Don't be so thin-skinned--it's unmanly.

I think that your ad hominum is totally unwarranted here. I have long hair, and I am against socialized medicine. I am not a 60's throwback, nor am I an "ugly-assed broad." If our side, the anti government take-over of America, is to survive the long haul, we must toss out the ad hominums and keep to the high road by arguing, tooth and nail, the issues at hand.

In your zeal you meant well, but you missed the mark completly.

Right now I'm watching TV and they're telling "We the People" that some in our govt. want to start the one child policy here in the US. If we, the US, are so overpopulated then why in hell are we allowing Muslims to immigrate here. Maybe the government is going to control our overpopulation by using the Muslim hit men. Oh, wait, they are out-breeding us.

Now the Democrats have proposed the Mother of All Public Options". The Mayo Clinic, the American Medical Association, the American Hospital Association and the Federation of American Hospitals have all come out strongly against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) Medicare buy-in plan for Americans aged 55 to 64. Every one of these core health care providers recognizes that expanding an already unsustainable program would mean disaster for the American health care system. The left in Congress sees it differently. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-CA)tells the Los Angeles Times:

Expanding Medicare is an unvarnished, complete victory for people like me. It’s the mother of all public options. We’ve taken something people know and expanded it.

And make no mistake: expanding Medicare to people between 55 and 64 is just the first step. Back in 2005, the late Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-MA) explicitly named such a Medicare buy-in proposal as just the first step towards Medicare for all, government run health care. Watch:

Flashback: Sen. Kennedy Promotes Medicare Expansion as Prelude to Medicare for All

Senator Harry Reid is supporting government-enforced racial discrimination embedded in the Health Care Bill. I quote below from an article by Candace Russy November 9, 2009, on the Website of the National Association of Scholars:

"The NAS has long and wisely opposed the use of racial, ethnic, or other criteria unrelated to merit in (among other aspects of campus life) student recruitment and admissions.
"Those who support this view will find troubling the following requirement embedded in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s 1,990-page health-care bill, which as I write she is trying to bring to a vote, and which fomer Lt. Governor of New York Betsy McCaughey, writing in The Wall Street Journal, has unearthed:

"Secs. 2521 and 2533 (pp. 1379 and 1437) establishes racial and ethnic preferences in awarding grants for training nurses and creating secondary-school health science programs. For example, grants for nursing schools should “give preference to programs that provide for improving the diversity of new nurse graduates to reflect changes in the demographics of the patient population.” And secondary-school grants should go to schools 'graduating students from disadvantaged backgrounds including racial and ethnic minorities.'"

"The academic community en masse should, but of course won’t, reject such heavy-handed and unfair federal manipulation of student admissions in the name of diversity. This bill – among its other ill effects – will only add to division and lowered academic standards throughout our educational institutions."

Hey look, there's Tommy Chong, MD, standing behind hussein, trying to look wise. He can't be wise though, or he wouldn't be there to add his support to nationalized health care. They've boxed themselves, and are getting desperate.
