Make no mistake. While we insects out here in fly-over country debate the byzantine minutia, or this provision of the bill, or that provision of the bill, the Senate is roaring full steam ahead to stuff this piece of crap down the throats of the American people. When they are done, we won't be debating the whole issue anymore, we will only be chit-chatting about how to “tweak” the new law– and the HHS secretary will be more powerful than the Secretary of Defense — over YOUR life. It will profoundly disfigure how the people approach the government– not as representatives of us, but as petty tyrants, no longer responsive to us, but lording power of life and death over us.

This is a nightmare from which we will not awaken, unless the Republicans get some balls of iron and run as a solid phalanx of a party that will vote to repeal this monster the moment they are give the majority back.. And then line up to override the inevitable presidential veto. Otherwise, America ceases to exist. It's that simple.

I know Malkin and those like her pride themselves on scaring old people and so they have had to shoot down a “public” option as evil communism, while supporting Medicare and saying it's awesome. I know on FPM, Medicare and Medicaid are failed Marxist endeavors, but Republican politicians can't afford to be that way out here in reality.

And make no mistake: expanding Medicare to people between 55 and 64 is just the first step. Back in 2005, the late Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-MA) explicitly named such a Medicare buy-in proposal as just the first step towards Medicare for all, government run health care. Watch:
