You have to display your bargaining skills everywhere save the big department stores, and malls. In most markets of Pattaya and Jomtien, the prices could be inflated to almost twice the real price.

You should know, Geller comes up with some reliable information. However, she often errors in 'jumping the gun'.
Her article annoucing when CAIR had discovered where Rifqa is being housed was origionally written in the morning hours of Jan. 19. In that article, Geller wrote that Rifqa Bary had been moved from her current foster home. That was a lie. I called Jamal to varify, he returned my call telling me Rifqa's parents gave up the custody battle. When Geller discovered she was in error in her reporting, she rewrote the article to reflect that the custody battle was over and removed the erroneous information she previously reported.

One other thing. It was very irresponsible of Geller to announce that Rifqa was moved. Though it was not true. If it were, Geller was only trying to break the story. Geller is at that level, nearly being a credible reporter. However, she is reckless. That is why the mainstream will not follow up on her claims.

Bubba,

I don't believe you are as dumb as you sound. But it is obvious the kool-aid yer drinkin is causing delusions.

Let me help you out for a second. Calling someone the anti-Christ is not even in the same logical universe as calling for someone's murder. But since pinkos like you approve of the murder of millions of innocent babies each year, I guess one young woman who converted to (gasp!) Christianity is not worth protection. Furthernore, in many circumstances, openly calling for the murder of someone is a capital felony (especially if intent, legally known as mens rea, can be proven).

Until you can improve your rhetorical skills, leave the commenting on important issues to us adults.

I just found out today that my Facebook account has been disabled. The most likely reason, according to FB FAQ's is that I offended some people. My postings could very well have offended (1) Communists and Socialists, and/or (2) Muslims who are born into victimhood and hypersensitivity. How is it possible that I could lose my account for 'offending' professed enemies of liberty and free markets while those who threaten Rifqa's life are allowed to retain their FB accounts? How absurd and vile will the consequences of Political Correctness have to become before we BANISH it from our society? Lepers cause less damage to our liberty, security and well-being than Political Correctness.

"With sites on Facebook threatening Rifqa with death, everyone should stop the PC Religion-Of-Peace nonsense and get serious. Is law enforcement going to stop playing games and protect this young girl or what?"

So they should ban foreign words you don't like or follow all of its 300 million members to make sure no one has a spat? I get called a lot worse on FPM and somehow I manage. Facebook will take down "offensive" material if SOMEONE COMPLAINS about being offended.

"Readers can and should try abuse@facebook.com, but there is no assurance that anyone with any authority in Facebook will see the message."

Riiiiiight, so basically this lady did jack shit about actually addressing the problem with Facebook. If I wrote comments about someone and called them the "anti-christ" then I would not expect to be censored....it is my right to be a religious nutball if I want to. Like the Huffington Post article complaining that user comments made the site anti-semitic...you are really grasping at straws when you have to use random reader comments to establish a website's philosophy.

Pamela Geller, thank you so much for your reports on the shocking treatment of poor Rifqa.

An amazing advancement in restoring vision has been made. I hope it will be possible for Rifqa to get this wonderful procedure and restore vision to her severely damaged eye! If her vision could be restored, a fund could be started for Rifqa!

Stem cell treatment allows the blind to see again

By Paul Sims and Jenny Hope
23rd December 2009

Pioneering stem cell treatment by British scientists has restored the sight of those threatened with permanent blindness.

The technique has transformed the lives of patients who have lost their vision through injury or disease.

The procedure has so far been carried out only on those who have lost their sight in one eye.

But trials are already under way on patients who have damage to both their eyes - and millions could one day benefit from the treatment.

The technique involves growing stem cells from the patient's 'good eye' in the laboratory before transferring them to the damaged eye.

British police and the organizations in Britain who help victims such as Rifqa, would be shocked and horrified at American authorities' cruel treatment of Rifqa. We must NEVER allow in America the level of suffering that takes place in Britain and Europe:

Ending the silence on 'honour killing'

I wish I could get involved with the support groups and help but you know, I'm just a coward." Having first walked out of an abusive marriage at the age of 17 and then from a hostile family who had had a meeting to discuss whether or not she should die, Zena does not lack courage but she is still very scared.
She has every reason to be. Her Bangladeshi-born mother had suggested that Zena might be allowed to poison herself rather than be murdered for bringing shame on the family.

"I'm sorry to be so cloak-and-dagger but you never know what they might be capable of, I know there are plenty of young men who would love to play bounty hunter just for a bit of kudos in the community."

Police estimate at least 12 are dying each year in the UK but others will be hidden – forced suicides and murders made to look like suicide are widely believed to take place undetected. Women aged 16-24 from Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi backgrounds are three times more likely to kill themselves than the national average for that age and it is impossible to tell what pressures some must have been under.

When it opened its helpline in April 2008, Karma Nirvana received 4,000 calls in the first year and is now taking 300 calls a month from people under threat of honour-based violence, often linked to forced marriage.

After the government's forced marriage unit was set up in April last year, it received 5,000 calls and rescued 400 victims in the first six months.

They also face being hunted down, said Detective Chief Inspector Gerry Campbell of the Metropolitan police. "It's not uncommon to have bounty hunters out hunting down young people who have left forced marriages or fled from a family where they are at risk. It's rare for [one person] to take unilateral action, it's all done in consultation and there is logistical support and collusion in the extended community," he said.

...Banaz Mahmod, who made contact with police five times to say she thought her life was in danger but always drew back from pressing charges. Banaz, 19, a Kurd, was murdered by family members at her home in Mitcham, Surrey, in 2006.

She had been raped and beaten by the older man she had been forced to marry, and had left him. Her elder sister, Bekhal, had also left home to escape their father's violence and the extended family was beginning to regard Mahmod Mahmod as a man who had lost control of his daughters. The shame became so unbearable that he held a meeting to discuss killing his daughter and her new boyfriend.

"I'm confident that no victim will ever be turned away in London and that officers know that to do nothing is not an option.

"Honour is about a collection of practices used by the family to control behaviour, to prevent perceived shame, but there's no honour in murder, rape, or kidnapping and with 25% of the [cases] we are seeing involving a person under 18: this is a child abuse issue too. The simple message is: If you do this you will be caught and brought to justice.

The behaviour of women seen to have dishonoured their families can be as harmless as wearing make-up or talking to boys. One suspected murder is believed to have been caused by a girl having a love song dedicated to her on a community radio show.

Diana Nammi, who runs the Iranian and Kurdish Women's Rights Organisation in London: For someone to be killed for their make-up or clothes or having a boyfriend or for refusing to accept a forced marriage is so brutal and unacceptable.

In Pakistan the practice of honour killing – called karo-kari – sees more than 10,000 women die each year.

For Zena, she has her life but does not have her freedom. "When I first ran away I would go to the library and read loads of spy books to pick up tips. You have to teach yourself how to best keep hidden," she said. "My life is about keeping a very low profile now and about looking over my shoulder, but at least I know I am alive and I grieve for those poor girls who are not."

British police and the organizations in Britain who help victims such as Rifqa, would be shocked and horrified at American authorities' cruel treatment of Rifqa. We must NEVER allow in America the level of suffering that takes place in Britain and Europe:

http://WWW.GUARDIAN.CO.UK

…Banaz Mahmod, who made contact with police five times to say she thought her life was in danger but always drew back from pressing charges.

What has happened to our once civilized country? Ohio Authorities are acting as if America is a MUSLIM nation where non-Muslims have no rights.

Terrified 17-year-old Rifqa must NEVER be returned to her parents in Ohio! Never sent back to Sri Lanka! The punishment for leaving Islam is death!
Why is Ohio state punishing frightened young apostate, Rifqa? Cruelly isolating stressed out Rifqa-not allowing her to see her beloved friends.

Rifqa's parents have filed charges against Rifqa for being "unruly" and ungovernable". In the state of Ohio it is NOT allowed to leave Islam! Why has Ohio state filed no charges against Rifqa's father for his beatings of Rifqa?

Why are Ohio authorities acting as if America is a Muslim nation?

If you really want to save this poor girl, send her to Texas. We know how to help people, and unlike some states, we do have the right to defend ourselves against attacks.

This is the land of freedom, yet this girl is being held a prisoner in her foster-home because she and everyone around her are afraid of muslim nutjobs. I keep telling you people, it isn't a religion, it's a death cult and if we don't do something, they'll kill her.

If she dies, I'm going to sue Florida, Ohio, the Ohio DFPS, and the foster parents. There is no reason why we can't protect her.

And as for you muslim fanatics out there. This is the 21st century, grow up and act like adults. This is America, we have the right to free speech, freedom of religion, and if you don't like it, move back to the damned desert.
