McCain certainly doesn't have the conservative credentials but J.D. is the farthest thing from one, too. J.D. is not a tax and spend Republican, he's a tax, BORROW, and spend Republican and the last person we need to carry the conservative banner.
He may talk the talk as a talk show host, which he is doing now, but that's not how he acts when he's in office.

Let's get this straight. You're going to dump an established political party and go with a "movement"? To win, the movement must be organized like a political party. So why not have the movement absorb the GOP … especially at the local level … and win.

I agree with your stated values and beliefs, and I've marched in the Tea Party movement. But "dumping" the GOP will result in DEM victory, which will benefit only the statists.

I never thought I would say this but I really think it might be the time for Rush to consider a run for the leadership of the Republican party if it is ever going to be saved. To many people consider it to be a centrist thing. If it is truly conservative then lets boost it if not, lets begin a third party. Those of you disappointed with Palin – here's our BEST hope.

Michelle Bachmann – she's beautiful, much more so than Palin, she's definitely someone who has stood toe-to-toe with the Dems and never flinched. She doesn't kill animals, and she doesn't have a stupid, clueless daughter who is an embarassment.

Palin might be a good choice for a cabinet post – BUT NOT the Interior with her anti-animal views – or a Senate seat. But she's proved she's NOT Presidential material even from the get-go.

Bachmann – and former DHS Deputy Fran Townsend have proven THEY have the right stuff.

Take the example of Adam Kokesh, a "supposed" Republican candidate in New Mexico and recent FOX media darling.

He is being disingenuous about his true views.

He fought in Iraq to be sure, but since serving there he has adopted a John Kerry Vietnam era attitude. He is one of the founders of Iraq Veterans Against the War (shades of Kerry), and his own National Security policies are NO different than those of Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Durbin, Holder, et. al.,

He is a Ron Paul groupie. You know, the guy who would continue to have us depend on Saudi oil and who like Obama loves to fund Hamas.

Kokesh is NO Scott Brown. Scott Brown was a choice all of us could embrace. Kokesh is a Paulistinian no different than the military-hating Democrats. Vote for the mainstream GOP candidate in his district, not for a Paulistinian.

Michelle Malkin is over-reacting. Yes, McCain has a whole lot of personality quirks and he does support nutty stuff like the bogus global warming and he is frequently too willing to do the Bob Dole "get something passed" which is truly a disease they have in DC. But his primary challenger really is not any better, he has his bad issues as well.
Sarah Palin is showing that she is an honorable person. And unless you think McCain just unacceptable as a Senator (he is great on most issues) then Sarah should be lauded for being a person of honor and integrity. We could use more of that in DC

There has been great disappointment over McCain. He is an honorable, courageous
war hero, but I don't like his intense efforts to so-called "Reach across the aisle". As
a result we had McCain-Feingold, bad immigration efforts, etc. I don't hold Sarah
Palin in breach of her beliefs; afterall, she feels somewhat indebted to McCain; BUT
she will be making a big mistake if she continues to campaign for him. She will do
so at her peril.

Our country is in dire straights – I'm not allowing anyone a second chance! She obviously has no principles if she feels that she owes somebody. I agree that she sounded great at her speach when she was leaving Alaska, talking about our natural resources given by God, but that's not the Sarah I see now, and talk is cheap.

I agree that we need new blood – I like Allen West instead of the same 2012 running mates Romney, Huckabee and Palin!

Palin owes the terminally confused McCain absolutely nothing. He picked her as his VP candidate for the same reason a drowning man grabs a lifepreserver. His campaign was as dead as Arizona roadkill in August. Even the flies were gone. Palin revived the whole misbegotten mess – the absolutely worst-run, ill-advised presidential campaign since Dukakis. McCain is a political imbecile who thinks Liberals are honest and ethical and can be trusted to do the right thing. Someone (Malkin?) needs to get the word to Palin ASAP or she'll be as moribund a political candidate as is McLame.
