Plagued by multiple serious scandals, Rep. Charles Rangel has stepped down from his post as chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. The move, which Rangel said was “temporary,” came after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told the congressman that he did not have enough votes to survive an expected Republican challenge to his chairmanship.

    Anyone who is regular citizen would have been prosecuted and jailed for these crimes. Why do we exempt those elitists like this and give them a free pass.
