Almost every day at Jihad Watch I chronicle yet another incident of jihadist mass-murder: jihadists kill sixteen with suicide bomb outside a church, jihadists kill ten with a bomb at a hospital, and on and on. So many murders, so many dead, and in virtually all the news stories about each jihad attack, the only thing we’re told about the victims is their number.
“The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic,” goes the old adage often wrongly attributed to Joseph Stalin, and it’s true: it is all too easy to forget that behind the each one of the huge numbers of victims of the jihad today is a human story, an individual with a life, with loves, with plans, with hopes.
But it is essential that we not forget this, for our own sake – for the sake of our resolve in continuing to fight against the global jihad and Islamic supremacism. It is essential that we not allow ourselves to become desensitized to the human cost of this great struggle for freedom. It is essential that we realize the full magnitude of what the jihadists are taking from us: the lives they are destroying, and the emotional devastation they are leaving in their wake: the burdens they’re placing on people who are not combatants, who never expected to find themselves in the middle of a war, and who are being let down on a massive scale by those who have sworn to protect them.
That is what is so valuable about Italian journalist Giulio Meotti’s A New Shoah: The Untold Story of Israel’s Victims of Terrorism. Israel has lost 1,500 people to the Second Intifada over the last ten years – the equivalent of about 54,000 victims of jihad terror in the United States. Islamic jihadists have murdered them on buses, in restaurants, at synagogues, and anywhere else they could. Meotti interviewed dozens of the victims’ families and survivors of jihad attacks, and introduces us to a few of the ordinary and extraordinary people whose lives were cut short by those attacks. He brings them back from the realm of “statistic” to that of “tragedy,” and in the process, reminds us of the real reasons why we fight, why we resist the Islamic jihad against Israel and the West, why the U.S. must stand with Israel, and why we must prevail.
Something that is rarely mentioned ,and never reported in depth ,are the terrible disabling injuries that were incurred by over 6,000 victims of the intifada.

Hardly.While not an apologist for Islam,(I was raised Catholic and a grandfather was a Christian borne in Bethlehem,Palestine and my wife's family is rooted in India and then Africa.),I consider myself an apologist for Humanity.While it is all too obvious that Islam is in crisis,to declare Islam an enemy of civilization is nonsensical and a racist absurdity.Most Muslims are decent,peace loving people not unlike the rest of us.In fact,most victims of Fundamental Islamist's are other or fellow Muslims.We must support moderate Muslims and moderate Islamic states and encourage them in embracing modernity. muchiboy
I beg to differ Muchiboy. As Turkey's Erdogen said, "there is no moderate Islam. Islam is Islam." That being said, I think you need to study up on your Islam. All Islam has done for 1400 years is conquer and destroy. Just look at Muslim majority countries all over the world. It is not coincidence the majority of their citizens are illiterate and neglected by the elite Clerics. Every Islamic group in the US is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood, including the Muslim Student Association, Islamic Medical Association of North America, and American Muslim Armed Forces & Veterans Affairs Council! They don't care how they get to Shariah law as long as they get there. It isn't just the violent jihad we have to worry about, it is the Stealth Jihad as well…cultural jihad.
This isn't a First Amendment Issue. This is an Article 6 issue which states the US Constitution is the supreme law of the land. Muslims want to replace our Constitution with foreign law…shariah law. That is SEDITION.
Islam should NOT get first amendment protection.
Quite frankly, we should not allow any more mosques to be built in this country and we need to start shutting mosques down that are already here. They are preaching for our death and destruction.
We need to halt all Islamic immigration and reverse it. Thousands come every year on 6 month visas and never leave.

Also, I am sick of hearing that most Muslims are "peaceful". Whoop di doo! So were most Germans during WWII and so were most Russians under Communism. Doesn't mean diddly-do-da-day if they don't do something to stop the violence.
Also, all Muslims are taught to hate. Not saying they all do, but most hate non muslims. That's what they are taught. As muslim populations grow, nonmuslims can no longer go into those areas. This happens everywhere they emigrate too. Their "peacefulness" is worthless.

Every word is true, but the problem is that the vast majority of non-Muslims reject the idea that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a Jihad. The false narrative of the Pals as freedom fighters has won over the delusional and ignorant (ie the vast majority). Therefore concentrating on the Jihad waged against the "innocent" Swedes, Russians, etc. and not the eternally hated jews is much more effective in bringing Jihad denizens out of their haze.

Jews need be vigilant when criticizing Islam,as Muslims need be equally vigilant when criticizing Judaism.Both are engaged in a war of sorts,thus both have obvious agendas if not axes to grind.That's OK,so long as we both recognize it.Really,this is very much a debate requiring academic and scholarly expertise and argument,though I guess we can have ,more or less, informed opinions.That is the wonderful advantage to a forum like FPM,where some have an expertise of sorts while many are both well read with a strong critical mind and intelligence.muchiboy

this is directed to muchiboy … but could probably suffice towards any Jew … myself included … it is so curious to note that, as the recipients of so much global hatred throughout the ages, and now a specifically targeted hatred from the muslim world, aka jihad ….
