I couldn't read the whole thing. It began to spoil my digestion. A passing editorial comment on one of his speeches summarizes his whole being for me – "incoherent claptrap." Sadly, to some degree, I sense that in Obama, too. This period will go down in history as one of history's greatest ironies – we elected a black man who, along with his associates will have put race relations in America back by sixty years.
Well, you make quite a claim: the election of Obama is going to put race relations back 60 years.
But you don't back it up with anything. Do you have policies you can point to, or perhaps Obama's own actions so far which have led to this deterioration? Or can I just assume you're full of sh!t, then?

The intellectuly insubstantial Cornel West is an easy target. His ideas are small and his image large. His engorged self is an inviting target for those who would otherwise wage war with reasoned argument. Cornel's success owes more to African American oral tradition, verbal mesmerization, than it does to any intellectual tradition, be it westerrn, African or of any other source.

All I have to say is that Cornell West is a racist charlatan on a free ride who hasn't done anything significant in his entire life except race bait and agitate to stay in the spotlight. White guilt is the only reason he is not sweeping the floors at Harvard rather than holding a tenured professorship.

Where is the racism? By objective standards, academically he is a joke. He has punlished nothing of any significance. His commentary on the talk show circuit is a constant hating whitey diatribe. He hates white people and openly shows it. The content of his character? Almost none.
Well, he did publish one academic book: "The American Evasion of Philosophy", his study of pragmatism. But that was in 1989, now well over 21 years ago. It was even a long time period apart from 2002, when West had the infamous encounter with Larry Summers (who I think was entirely justified in suggesting that West produce new academic research, whether in the form of a book or a scholarly paper).
