Today Collectivized Health Care – Tomorrow Amnesty For Illegal Aliens – What Will That Bring Next November?

Yesterday the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Senate health care bill. If I were a committed Leftist like Barack Obama, what would I do next? You can bet that enough voters back home are going to feel sufficiently betrayed by their representatives’ collectivization of the nation’s health-care and insurance that a shift in power toward the Right could come during the next November mid-term elections. So, without stopping to take another breath, I would immediately begin the push for a quick Amnesty for the millions of illegal aliens in this country.
Depending on whose estimates you would like to believe, there are anywhere from eleven million to fifty million people who are living within the United States, right now, in felonious violation of our immigration laws. They are here via de facto invitation, by virtue of the refusal of our elected and appointed powers that be to enforce existing immigration law and protect our borders. Don’t look now, but the Amnesty move is already underway The Washington Post ran a story today, covering a mass D.C. demonstration in favor of that Amnesty:
“In the VIP section behind the big stage with a majestic view of the U.S. Capitol, Esvin Blanco, Oved Vigil and Edwin Mazariegos showed the ankle bracelets they must wear beneath their baggy jeans so U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement can keep track of them before they face possible deportation in coming weeks…
… Last week, the detainees had been behind bars in Maryland on suspicion of immigrating illegally to this country. But on Sunday afternoon during the March for America, they were hailed by cheering thousands on the Mall as the human face of the need for immigration reform…”
This entire situation is analogous to the immigration of destitute Goth masses across the Danube river into the Roman Empire, which began with the permission of the Emperor in about 376 A.D. Thirty-four years later King Alaric and the Visi-Goths over-ran and sacked the City of Rome, itself. Eventually, the collapse of that empire ushered in the Dark Ages.
This nation may very well fall in a much more civilized way, without a shot being fired. If the leftists in Congress and the White House grant the Amnesty, and the inevitable right to vote that will be thereto attached, the game is over, folks. It is a matter of probability that the balance of electoral political power in this nation will shift to the Left for generations, if not for a century. We will become a de facto one-party nation.
Forget Cap and Trade. Forget any hope of reversal toward the Right for next November’s elections. If the millions of present illegal aliens get to vote in that election, it is game, set and match. So, having elected the people we did to office in 2006 and 2008, we can just watch and wait as the dismantling of this country continues.
