Founded in 1992, the Universal Health Care Action Network (UHCAN) supports a single-payer health care system controlled by the federal government. It has partnered in its national campaigns with the George Soros- and Teresa Heinz Kerry-funded Health Care for America Now!. UHCAN’s former Executive Director Ken Frisof worked closely with the Democratic Socialists of America to promote a single-payer system.
