Another Google App Suicide on the Horizon?

Orkut, Google Video, Open Social, Friend Connect… If these apps don’t sound familiar, it’s because they were complete Googletastic flops. Nonetheless, Google is going toe-to-toe with yet another popular social media tool. This time, they have Twitterers (Tweeters?) in their sights. The Business Insider describes the changes coming to Gmail’s status update feature, which align it more with the functionality of Twitter updates. Good luck with that, Google.
