I find myself fascinated by the Israeli response to the recent flotilla nonsense. Not the government response, but the response of people like Caroline Glick, and now like Ruff, Shi 360 & Evish.

The song is called “United” — which is precisely what people who care about the Jewish state should be.

I know someone from Daily Kos who is one of the “leaders” of the pro-Israel crowd over there. He’s a good guy and a smart man, but he honestly thinks that Likud is no better… or not much better… than Hamas. I find such attitudes to be entirely counterproductive. Likud may traditionally be hard-right, ultimately deriving of Jabotinsky’s “Revisionist Zionism,” but who cares?

One can disagree with Likud without demonizing those people. One can disagree with settlement activity in the West Bank without suggesting that the settlers are all crazed theocrats.

Please excuse the brevity of this post, but I really want to share this one.
