A Tea Party Masquerade Ball in Michigan?

Elections are coming up, and it looks like some Michigan Democrats like to start the season off with a masquerade ball. Apparently lacking confidence that they can win on their own failed policies, it appears that the latest approach is to trick the people into thinking they are getting a traditional Tea Party candidate who stands for small government and the Constitution, but what a tragedy awaits them when the mask is removed.
From the Detroit Free Press:
Affidavits filed by more than half of the 23 candidates from Michigan’s mysterious Tea Party were notarized by the political director of the Oakland County Democratic Party, elections records show, providing more fuel for suspicions that Democrats organized the new party to hurt Republican chances in the November election.
If you have to mask who you are and what you stand for to win an election, it just might be time for a little introspection. Unless, of course, you are so completely egotistical that you believe you are one of the enlightened few who must drag the rest of us along, no matter what it takes to do it. This is not unlike our current administration and representatives, who seem to have no problem in masking their intentions and ramming through legislation that the American people do not want.
Are there really Americans who would knowingly vote for candidates who will lie, cheat and mask their true selves to get elected? Can anyone trust a candidate like that? Voters might want to give some thought to who they are dancing with, because when the mask comes off after the elections, it might not be pretty.
