In the summer of 2009, when the world witnessed brave Iranians taking to the streets in an effort to overthrow the Islamofascist regime that was terrorizing them, the president of the United States merely shrugged his shoulders and shuffled his feet. Encouraging words somehow failed him. But today, as the world watches the Egyptian Revolution of 2011 occur right before its eyes, Obama suddenly sees it fit to stretch out a hand of solidarity to the Muslim Brotherhood – giving the Islamist group a green light to share power in a post-Mubarak Egyptian government. In other words, instead of taking a concrete stand against a jihadist entity, a U.S. president has given it his own personal blessing and stamp of approval. It’s the Jimmy Carter-1979 shah betrayal all over again – and with horrific deadly consequences once again on the horizon.
None of this, of course, should come as any surprise; rather, it should be completely expected. Barack Obama is, after all, a man of the left, and the left is always charmed by adversarial terrorist forces that seek to do harm to free democratic societies. Thus, helping to pave the road for the Muslim Brotherhood to take power in Egypt is only to be expected from America’s radical in chief. The Muslim Brotherhood is, after all, an influential Islamist organization and the ideological forebear of Hamas and al-Qaida. Its top objectives are to implement Shariah law and to annihilate Israel. Once it comes to power in Egypt, it will bring Khomeini-style killing fields to purify all non-Muslim infections.
The historical record is simply there for anyone who has an honest interest in the psychological makeup of the left. Leftists have prostrated themselves before despots throughout history – during the whole Cold War and now vis-à-vis jihadists in the terror war. When a despot like Osama bin Laden, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, Mao Zedong or Fidel Castro wields totalitarian power and metes out sadistic punishment, it is an act with which a leftist yearns to identify.

The ideal outcome of this "revolution" is the removal of Mubarak without the collapse of the country's institutions. He is the lightning rod for popular disaffection and his continued presence will preclude the re-establishment of social peace.
Mubarak's successor, while publicly distancing himself from his predecessor, will hopefully impose many of the same policies, i.e., adherence to the letter of Camp David, proscriptions against the Muslim Brotherhood, cooperation with the West vis-a-vis Islamic terror, etc.
Obama's advocacy is the opposite. The Prez seems to be working feverishly to facilitate the MB's conquest of power. Once again, just like the crises in Honduras a year ago, he's deliberately working against America's best interests.
One can't help thinking that Obama has some kind of secret agenda in his continual and tacit support for the Muslim Brotherhood…

Wait one minute. Before you start suggesting that Obama has a "secret agenda", step back and look at what choices he has to make.
If he support Mubarak, he is going against the popular uprising in a non-democratic counrty. He looks like he isn't supporting democracy.
If he supports the rebellion, he looks like he supports an Islamic Exsteamist Group.(Note that the Islamic Brotherhood holds aroud a 20% support and some say would likly not take control of the government. And they claim to be more moderate than they have been historically. Still, there may be reason for concern)
My point is, that for Obama, it is a loose-loose situation. Before condeming him. Try to think what would you do. He did not come out right away in support of the revolution. He has by most counts been very slow and vague about his responce. (In my opinion, understandably so)
So why the conspiracy theory???
He could encourage Mubarak to step down, elevating the new Vice President to the Presidency…while doing everything in his power to exclude the Muslim Brotherhood from participation in any future government.

Talking about OBAMA's original aversion to wear the American flag in his lapel and
hold his left hand over his chest for the flag raising or the national anthem, it pains
me to watch how people remain seated when the national anthem is sung at any
public gathering (sports or else) but this of "JAZZING" it up as I just heard over the
TV is to me already, equivalent to the scrapping the bottom of the garbage pail..
True " the signing of our national anthem is not an easy task, as few are the people
endowed with a voice to carry it on gallantly (which by the way is not required from

Although I'm not in agreement with Mr. Glazov's point about President Obama, how many Americans are willing to do what Egypt's population is doing to oust Mubarek? If you feel President Obama is SUCH an evil and threat to America, why don't you hit the streets and stop Washington (and the US) cold to show it. I agree with what you say against Obama. His invitation to a group whose hallmark is antidemocratic ideology is understood in the context of our President's record which you clearly lay out.. What I find astonishing is years back when the Bush Administration put a UN official and an Iraqi cleric in charge of the new constitution. What we got was a government created under the noses of thousands of US troops who were sacrificing their lives to protect… not a democracy, but a theocracy whose essentials attack religious freedom. What did the US Department of State think they would end up with? What was the US government thinking?

What Egypt's uprising? There is only tens of thousands islamists on street and Kairo's population is 18-20 million people. So 99% has not taken part to this "uprising". I'm sure majority still wants to live in peace. Last 30 years have been time of peace.
