On a day when Islamic jihadists exploded a bomb in Jerusalem that murdered at least one woman and wounded thirty, and when Islamic jihadists opened fire on and killed two Christians outside a church in Pakistan, Senator Richard Durbin (D-IL) announced that he was going to hold hearings on the rise in “anti-Muslim bigotry.”
Durbin, of course, was retaliating for the hearings recently conducted by Rep. Peter King (R-NY), who himself bowed to politically correct pressure and dropped several witnesses that he had originally announced his intention to call, including ex-Muslim human rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali and terror analyst Walid Phares.
Not only was the timing of Durbin’s announcement ironic, but also the fact that his retaliatory hearings were unnecessary in the first place. King, after all, gave a prime platform at his hearings to the weepy Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), whose pilgrimage to Mecca was paid for with $13,350 from the Muslim American Society, the Muslim Brotherhood ‘s chief operating arm in the U.S.
Ellison used the bully pulpit King gave him to paint a lurid picture of Muslim victimhood, all the while saying nothing (of course) about the sharp increase in jihad terror plots in this country over the last two years. How can Durbin top that?
The irony of Durbin’s hearings becomes even more acute when one notes that according to the most recent FBI statistics (covering 2009), anti-Jewish attacks account for 70% of hate crimes, and anti-Muslim attacks for only 9% of crimes thus classified. Durbin is preparing to hold hearings about an “anti-Muslim bigotry” that is almost completely nonexistent.
The fact of its near-nonexistence is extremely inconvenient for the Islamic victimhood industry that is now manipulating Durbin; consequently, the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and other Muslims have not hesitated to stoop even to fabricating hate crimes, including attacks on mosques. CAIR and other groups like it want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.
But Durbin either doesn’t know or doesn’t care about any of that. Watch for his hearings to be an orgy of Muslim claims of victimhood and demonization of freedom fighters trying to defend Constitutional freedoms against Islamic supremacism. If Durbin really wants to know the cause of what “anti-Muslim bigotry” may actually exist, he need look no farther than Khalid Aldawsari, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Lubbock, Texas; Muhammad Hussain, the would-be jihad bomber in Baltimore; Mohamed Mohamud, the would-be jihad bomber in Portland; Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood jihad mass-murderer; Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square jihad mass-murderer; Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas military recruiting station jihad murderer; Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas airplane jihad bomber; and so many other jihad murderers and would-be murderers.
Hearings on "Anti-Muslim Bigotry" by Sen Durbin!? This is a demarche of a provocateur as though shaming us for "Anti-Nazi Bigotry".
1) He attempts to make us believe as though Islam and Moslems were indispensable part of America, while we hard-necked bigots still cannot "embrace" them;
2) And he makes it look as though there is no existential war with Islam, nor Islamic agents among us, whose goal is to subvert this nation.
To add more clarity, "if Muslims did those five things" mentioned by R. Spencer, they would not be Moslems! They would not come at all to a Judeo-Christian country with the goal to remain Moslems. Wake up America! It's enough of being duped by traitors forcing us into a belief as though Islam is an inseparable part of our national identity! "Anti-Muslim Bigotry" is a justified reaction against hostile aliens and carriers of the enemy's ideology.
i agree. i wish more people would see it. Sen. Durbin sees it, but he also sees the growing Muslim numbers in his home state, and elsewhere. His state includes Chicago. that's where the Obamafraud got his start as a community organizer… organizing angry disenfranchised blacks and angry disenfranchised muslims. he then married the angry and disenfranchised Michelle, then went to the angry and disenfranchised Rev. How much Arab oil money has Durbin secretly and/or not secretly received ? What reasons other than bribery would make in a US Senator to seek to undermine our country by furthering the absolute falsehood that Muslims are mistreated?. If this country didn't allow a small group of fanatic , insane environmentalists to wield so much influence, especially greatly limiting drilling for oil in the US , it would not be so easy for Jihadists to buy US Senators.

Daniel Pipes has estimated that the actual Muslim population is America is vastly overinflated by groups like CAIR. For instance, most polls put the population at about 2 million, whereas CAIR boasts 7 million.
Durbin is wrong minded in many ways. But King cannot be praised very much either. His "hearings" were just a deliberately emotive as Durbin's will be. This Magazine would improve the process if were able to convince to King to go after data instead of simply relying on testimonials. The hearings should reveal:
1. The number of Muslim and non Muslim completed and attempted Terror attacks in say the last one and five years
2. The trends of those things listed above.
3. The number of times Muslims reported one of their own; and again the trends.
4. An authoritative account of the attempts to meet the listing given above…Is it growing in frequency?
With that information, it may actually be possible to pass useful laws

WTF Religion has always been responsible for murders and deaths of innocent people. Republicans vs Democrats same as Bloods vs Crips.
