Gingrich vs. Muslim Brotherhood Fronts

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has become the first presidential candidate to say that he would support a Justice Department investigation and possible prosecution of Muslim Brotherhood fronts tied to Hamas.  He made the remarks in response to a question from the United West, and his unplanned statement could help revitalize his campaign.

“I would support an Attorney General who would look very aggressively at prosecuting any group which supports terrorism or which sends money to terrorism or which encourages terrorism,” Gingrich told the United West.

The questioner mentioned that the federal government says that Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) are tied to Hamas. He then asked if he’d support an investigation into these specific groups, to which Gingrich replied, “Sure, absolutely.” He nodded his head as the question was asked, expressing familiarity with the topic.

Gingrich’s answer made him the first 2012 presidential candidate to support formally investigating these three Muslim Brotherhood fronts, which were labeled as “unindicted co-conspirators” in the trial of the Holy Land Foundation (HLF). The so-called charity was found guilty of being a Hamas fundraiser set up by the Muslim Brotherhood.

A federal court filing in 2007 said, “From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists” and “the conspirators agreed to use deception to conceal from the American public their connections to terrorists.” The three groups fought to get their designations as “unindicted co-conspirators” lifted with no success. On July 1, 2009, U.S. District Judge Jorge Solis ruled that “[t]he government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA and NAIT with HLF… and with Hamas.”

Gingrich has been arguably the most outspoken candidate about the Islamist threat within the U.S. On July 29, 2010, he said, “Stealth jihadis use political, cultural, societal, religious, intellectual tools; violent jihadis use violence. But in fact they’re both engaged in jihad and they’re both seeking to impose the same end state which is to replace Western civilization with a [radical] imposition of Sharia.”

Although he still has a long hill to climb, two cheers for Gingrich. Hip, Hip, Hooray! Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Now if we could only mainstream the issue in the Republican debates.

islam must be expelled from the West, if we are to recover our collective civilisation. The cleanest way for this to be done would be for all muslims to convert to Christianity.

    • dr.music says:

why only the west ? islam should be outlawed and hunted down and irradicated like the pest it is on this lovely planet . BAN ISLAM NOW. NUKE MECCA MEDINA AND ALL MOSQUES NOW. SMASH ISLAM NOW. WITHOUT MECCA AND MEDINA THERE IS NO ISLAM . WITHOUT ARABS THERE IS NO ISLAM . SMASH ISLAM NOW.

In the land of big promises and spending nonexistent money while threatening to shut down the government, I am sure Newt Gingrich will gladly bounce a few Congressional checks for Israelism. What? The President can’t write Congressional checks? OK, then maybe an Executive Order. At the very least he can send Israel boxes of pens.

    • Amused says:

Flipside , get used to the FACT , that 83% of Americans favor Israel .No they may not like everything Israel does , but nonetheless in one way or another, they support Israel .
      Dont like that ? Tough sheet . You're a minority CHUMP .

Newt is running for President of the US, not the EU.

      Time for more phonics…

The classic Nazi! When eating a pizza he would choke and die if told that the pepperoni came from Israel. Here we have a discussion about a candidate who would go after America's enemies and flipsheet gets into Israel bashing. It's an addiction with Nazis. A disease. When the Russians were coming in on them from the East and the Allies moving in from the West, instead of running for their lives, burning their uniforms and hiding in the fields, they raced to kill as many Jews as they could before they themselves got it. This Flip is a real sick s.o.b.

      • Flipside says:

I think it’s funny that your “classic Nazi” eats pepperoni pizza. Got a historical photograph of that, maybe? It would be more likely that an Israeli would choke to find out some part of his pizza was produced without some method of ritualistic cleansing involved.

After 9/11 over 2,000 mosques have been built in the US.
    Mostly funded by the Saudi's.
We don't have the laws regarding former colonies that they have in Europe.
We didn't have to allow ANY muslims into this country.
Now we are told that we are not at war with Islam and that it is a religion of peace.
    Petrodollars at work.
I'm glad that Newt is speaking out.

  6. StephenD says:

I hope Newt has a significant roll to play in the next Administration even if he isn't the President. He has much to offer and truly fits the bill as a "Statesman." Speaking with folks, the word is he has "too much baggage" to be electable. I don't know about all that but would hope America is capable of seeing through the B.S. and finding the right person for the job. It has to be this election. We can’t go another 4 years with the crew that’s in thee now.

  7. Paul H. says:

Newt has an incredable depth of knowledge, understanding, and experience. He knows about history and economics and how the govt.works. I forgive him for his mistakes. He is a true patriot.

  8. wingwiper says:

    > The Left and media are obsessing about Romney and Perry because they believe those two stand a good chance of being defeated if nominated. Gingrich is the only candidate who could defeat Obama in debates and work with Congress if elected. That, is a fact. Santorum comes in a close second – nobody else in the chorus line has those two critical skills. Perry would be another Obama, what you see is NOT what you get. Romney is a nice guy, who would be a decent President if the world were made up of Junior League charitable groups.

    • Earl. says:

I agree that Newt is the best candidate for President. He is an author and history professor, and has a keen grasp of national and international affairs. He is not right wing crazy like the other frontrunner candidates who wear their religion on their sleeves, and he would get the crucial independent votes. I would also like his vice presidential running mate to be Rudy Giuliani.

The jihadists are motivated by the core principles of Islam with the goal of converting, killing, or subjugating all non-Muslims. Unfortunately, too many non-Muslims have reverted to a pre-9/11 mentality and do not see the necessity of an offensive war in Iraq or Afghanistan, or of a defensive war at home. Non-Muslims are going to have to decide to fight for their cultures, freedoms, and values or they are going to lose them. It is our killer instincts which must be harnessed if we expect to survive in a war with the Jihadists. Our weapons are only tools. It is a hard heart that kills. If our killer instincts are not clean and strong we will hesitate at the moment of truth. We will not kill. We will become dead Americans. And then wewill be in a world of trouble. Because there are a billion Muslims and on a few of us who will fight! Do you understand?

I'm more than happy to report that I vehemently defended Newt in a blog on the JTA, a few years ago, when someone attacked his integrity (using my full name.) And, my opinion of him has only risen throughout the years.

  11. Amused says:

Now here's a man I can vote for as POTUS . He's intelligent , he can work in the political system with opponents , and he's ELECTABLE . Unfortunately it looks as though the Republican /Teabagger/ Conservative base , may be ready for another great big mistake . Bachman ? Perry ? ….Intelligence !!!??
Right now the Republicans only have TWO electable candidates – Romney and Gingrich .

  12. Amused says:

I think Earl in the above post has got it right ……..Newt and Rudy .

  13. xlent says:

Golly Martha, Mr Gingrich got it right. WooHoo.

  15. effemall says:

I never liked Gingrich until now and with Giuliani it would be a team, not the boss and the flunky who always walks behind. The economy will be a challenge to whoever comes in but Islam is a greater danger and fewer candidates seem to be aware of it.

  16. drrobertgreer says:

It is refreshing to hear a major politician such as Newt Gingrich to speak frankly and rightly about the Muslim Brotherhood. Islamic organizations in the West, such as CAIR, NAIT and ISNA all fall under the umbrella of the Muslim Brotherhood. Abdur-Rahman Muhammad rightly described these organizations are working as a “fifth column” in the United States, seeking to subvert Western values and stability.

It is no mere coincidence that former CAIR Communications Director Randall Royer is now serving a 20 year prison sentence for his participation to train with the terrorist group Lashkir-e-Tayyiba. It is also no mere coincidence that the US District Attorney described CAIR and ISNA as unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation trial of October 2007. I believe that they should have been indicted.

If Gingrich should become president of the United States, we can anticipate some serious house cleaning when it comes to the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood.
