Virginia Democrat Representative James Moran has taken to hyper-spewing left-wing anti-American vitriol yet again. Moran, who can’t seem keep his leftist foot out of his big mouth, has a habit of making outrageous anti-American statements. This time he is slamming America as a nation of angry, white racists to the very movement America is at war with—Islam. And Moran is using Obama’s skin color as a weapon against America.
It’s not unusual for to Moran hurl America, Jews, and Israel under the race bus, but now the congressman wants the entire Muslim world to know the 2010 GOP victory is nothing more than a reflection of America’s inherent white European ancestral racism toward blacks—Americans hate blacks and purposely elected a white Republican House out of pure anger against the president of the United States because he’s a black man.
Moran told the Alhurra network:
[The 2010 GOP win] happened because of the same reason the Civil War happened in the United States. The Civil War happened because the Southern states, particularly the slaveholding states, didn’t want to see a president who was opposed to slavery. In this case a lot of people in this country, I believe, don’t want to be governed by an African American, particularly one who is inclusive, who is liberal, who wants to spend money on everyone and who wants to reach out to include everyone in our society. That’s a basic philosophical clash.
Moran’s clash of rhetorical stupidity is philosophically offensive, not to mention ignorant.
Moran implied America hates everyone not white, Jewish, or European descended. His declarations tell the world Americans vote solely on the basis of skin color and race and despise having a black man as president. Moran’s assertion that Americans voted with racist anger against Obama is insultingly false. White Americans elect black men and women to Washington, and white Americans have been supporting the civil rights movement since its beginnings. Further, the GOP has a strong movement of black Republicans who do not support Obama and wholeheartedly disagree with Moran and Democrats concerning race and slavery.
