MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, host of what’s quickly becoming The Lost World, is accusing the GOP of wanting to defund Planned Parenthood because the word “planned” comes before parenthood. He also insists the GOP is against any form of birth control.
Friday night’s show began with a dramatic Academy Award eligible line by O’Donnell who declared Planned Parenthood is being attacked by
fanatical enemies of Planned Parenthood, who hate the idea that the word “planned” should ever come before the word “parenthood,” [because, these are people] who don’t just oppose abortion, but also oppose contraception.
Even Charlie Sheen couldn’t come up with a line that crazy.
O’Donnell has been on a nightly crusade to defend PPFA from the GOP’s horrid attempts to implement government defunding of the organization. In order to get his point across, O’Donnell never fails to use hysterics against the GOP by making crazy accusations that suggest the GOP doesn’t want women to have access to health-care providers, every Republican is anti-contraception, and the GOP will force women to resort to wire hangers for abortions.
Never mind that Planned Parenthood is on record admitting county health services around the nation provide free abortions and health-care to low-income women, let’s scare the daylights out of women, make women believe they will never receive medical examinations, and all women will be forced to keep a secret stash of coat hangers on hand for “contraception,” because Republicans are against the word “planned.”
I know it may be hard for MSNBC’s Mommy Dearest to grasp reality, but Republicans are not running around America secretly leaving wire hangers inside woman’s closets with notes reading “Try using this, baby killer!” and “No contraception ever!” The GOP does not have a manifesto declaring “Parenthood must never be planned, it must always be an unintended accident,” and “No Republican is allowed to use birth control ever! Believe it or not Larry, while some Republicans (and some Democrats) do not believe in contraception, even your friends at Daily Kos admit many Republicans do believe in contraceptive use. I think that’s what you leftists refer to as “choice.”
I thought lefties, who declared pregnancy and abortion an individual choice, wanted the government to stay out of women’s wombs? O’Donnell should want PPFA privately funded so the GOP can’t plot against them.
