Occupiers to Terrorize Bargain Shoppers

Then there is the question of whether there will be leftist-initiated violence on Black Friday. It’s anyone guess. As John Nolte has documented Occupy supporters have defecated on police cars, committed rape, assault, arson, and hundreds of other crimes and acts of violence.

But it seems more likely that obnoxious and annoying occupiers, vastly outnumbered by enthusiastic shoppers, will more or less behave themselves.

Occupy Black Friday activists are probably more likely to be stampeded by bargain-hungry shoppers not interested in being lectured by anarchists and socialists.

The Left is hoping this new round of demonstrations will give birth to a new spinoff movement. According to Adbusters:

This year’s Black Friday will be the first campaign of the holiday season where we set the tone for a new type of holiday culminating with #OCCUPYXMAS. As the global protests of the 99% against corporate greed and casino capitalism continues, lets take the opportunity to hit the empire where it really hurts…the wallet.

On Nov 25/26th we escape the mayhem and unease of the biggest shopping day in North America and put the breaks on rabid consumerism for 24 hours. Flash mobs, consumer fasts, mall sit-ins, community events, credit card-ups, whirly-marts and jams, jams, jams! We don’t camp on the sidewalk for a reduced price tag on a flat screen TV or psycho-killer video game. Instead, we occupy the very paradigm that is fueling our eco, social and political decline.

Meanwhile, some Tea Party groups are organizing a counter-action called “BUYcott Black Friday,” encouraging consumers to spend money on Black Friday to promote economic growth.

“At a time when our economy is most fragile and ratings agencies are talking about another downgrade of the U.S. credit rating, it’s completely irresponsible for Occupy Wall Street to attempt to bring the U.S. economy to a halt on the busiest shopping day of the year,” said John Sullivan of Liberate Philadelphia/Liberate America.

    There's one more item to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day : the fact that we have Barack Obama as President of the United States (and as a viable candidate for re-election…..as opposed to the sorry set of rivals on the other side). Thank you Mr. President : your heart, your values, your basic decency.. are all in the right place. But… your hands are tied. Unfortunately they were tied by us, the electorate…..by not providing you with a Congress that you can work with. Instead you have a don’t-tax-the-1% Congress that instead battles you at every turn, while the people suffer.  God, they don't EVEN let you pass your own appointments. It's not Tea-publican gridlock- It's Tea-publican SABOTAGE. And then they try to pin the blame on Mr. Obama. These people have no shame…or else its been purchased by those who can afford to do so. Thankfully, Occupy Wall Street is part of an emerging grass-roots evolution that will help to both re-elect you Mr. President, and to give you a more progressive Congress. Therefore, on this Thanksgiving day,  I am thankful and grateful that you are the President Mr. Obama! And I wish you well. You STILL give me hope.

    I normally do not shop on Black Friday because I am usually a last minute Christmas shopper, it is part of the fun of the Christmas season for me and I find a lot of great deals on the finial shopping days before Christmas. But because of these useless idiots of left and their moronic occupy antics, I will this year go out of my way to do a little Black Friday Shopping. I Hope while I am shopping I run into one of these occupier flash mobs, I fear nothing and will politely inform them of the 100+ million of people murdered under the socialist regimes they worship, it will be a fun time.

    While we all pause for Thanksgiving, I too give thanks. I am Thankful that yesterday was one more day behind us towards the 2012 election. Thanksgiving 2012 CAN'T come fast enough to rid our country of the corrupt Ruling Class of Washington. If I could make a wish for my country, it would be for it's good citizens to stand shoulder to shoulder as our past elected officials are filed out of the buildings, straight into vans, then to jail. I would like to see them on trial for treason for the damage they have SELF created in my country. Surely there is a pretty little island somewhere in the world where they can all live out their remaining days while picking coconuts for dinner after bathing in salt water. By objective standards, such a motive, being thoroughly just, is profoundly moral. Socialists used to speak of "production for use" as against "production for profit." Isn't this whole Christmas thing supposed to be a celebration of the birth of Jesus? Or, am I missing something here?       Hi. I say this as a spiritual person who doesn't need gifts for Christmas. Gifts add to a celebration. One can enjoy gifts AND the meaning of the holiday. Or another thought, just because one is buying gifts does not mean that person does not feel the spirituality of the season. It just means they want to provide a nice time for their children.

      As I said before, I don't need gifts to be happy as I truly enjoy the spirit of the season. But sometimes they are fun and children especially like them. It's simply a part of the celebration that is all.

      The Gospel biographies of Jesus were fabricated from whole cloth, as Christian scribes scoured Jewish writings for messianic prophecies. The reasoning they used is bassackwards: Because Jesus was the Messiah, he must have done or been X. Hence, you get absurd tales such as Jesus being born in a manger and the virgin birth (based on a translation error in the Septuagint). In all likelihood, Jesus was an Essene rabbi who, like Siddhartha (who detested graven images; there are more statues of the Buddha than any other icon on the planet), would retch at what has arisen in his name.

          Suffice to say, Jesus was born of a virgin, NOT because other religions made the claim but because God decided that Israel needed yet another sign of His power and sovereignty over all flesh, and foretold it over 5 centuries before it happened (Not one other "virgin" birth had ever been foretold).

            They had the ancient equivalent of snake-handler cults and televangelists, but if messianism was prevalent, it appeared to have escaped Josephus' notice. Basically, when they weren't busy revolting against the Romans, the various factions of Judaism were fighting amongst themselves.

            As most independent scholars will tell you, those sources are notoriously unreliable. Paul never quoted Jesus in his Epistles, implying that there were no generally acknowledged sayings of Jesus at the time that he was active. The later Gospels copied and embellished Mark, adding what they needed to add to make it seem like Jesus predicted what was happening at the time of their writing. Cf., e.g., Mark 13:9(b) and Luke 21:12 with Matt. 24:9-10. Ironically, the vast number of mss. and fragments are what gives us the confidence to say this: We know what they wrote. Thus, the obvious contradictions were in the original mss.

            Jesus is a failed prophet, in the sense that he is almost 2,000 years late. The Olivet Discourse is written in present-tense (see also, Matt. 16:27-28) — all the telltale signs were in place, but no Jesus.

            Have you ever read Isa. 7:14 in context? The Dead Sea Scrolls copy of Isaiah (ca. 100 BCE) refers to ha 'almah — the young woman or maiden, referring to a specific individual in King Ahaz's court. (If virginity were of paramount import, Isaiah would have used bethulah.) That wasn't a messianic prophecy; to their eternal credit, Jews have never been able to swallow the virgin birth nonsense.

            Try to reconcile the Matthian and Lukan genealogies with 1 Chron. 3:17-20 — in short, you can't. Neither Abiud nor Rhesa were named, and if you try to use the old apologetic dodge that they were maternal and paternal lines, you are left with an even more daunting problem: Zerubbabel — the signet ring of the Lord — would have had to have fathered not one but two children by a sister, and that these children never made it into the Chronicles.

            The best explanation for the evidence is that the canonical "biographies" of Jesus were fabricated from whole cloth, by writers who arrived at them by scouring Jewish holy books for prophecies. Their reasoning: "Jesus was the Messiah, so he must have _______ (fill in the blank). Problem is, they didn't compare notes, which is why the accounts contradict each other on a regular basis. By way of example, whereas Matthew's Jesus was showered with precious gifts, Luke's Mary didn't even have enough for a little lamb.

            Sad fact is, most Christians don't even know their own holy book, much less, be able to speak with authority about Islam.

            Here is an adequate precis on Mithraism: http://www.unrv.com/culture/mithras.php They were cults in Roman times, practicing in secrecy in much the same manner as the early Christian cults. But the notion of an observant Jew referring to himself as God incarnate defies all sensibility; Jews have two less gods than you, and Christianity is a heresy to devout Jews.

            The Gospels themselves are primitive apologetic works, intended to prove that Jesus was what they were saying he was. Luke and Matthew tried to answer the objections left unaddressed in Mark. By way of example (the earliest versions of Mark end at vs. 16:8), Matthew tried to establish a chain of custody for Jesus' body — and of course, he failed miserably.

            The OT has its share of failed prophecies, as well. Since we are on the subject of Jeremiah, how about Jer. 33:17-18?

            "For this is what the LORD says: 'David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel, nor will the priests, who are Levites, ever fail to have a man to stand before me continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to present sacrifices.'"

            See also, 1 Ki. 13:1-3; Isa. 44:24-45:1, Isa. 52:1-3. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter Jerusalem again … except, of course, for the Romans and Palestinians, for some 2,000 years. Another epic fail.

            The second coming of Aushedar had been foretold. We have no proof that Jesus was born of a virgin — only unsubstantiated declarations. Besides, it is possible for a woman to become pregnant without her maidenhead being broken (not nearly as much fun, tho).

            You DO have trouble reading through your blackened lenses; here's a little context for you, this passage is talking about the Messiah's second coming; verse 16 clearly says "in those days", indicating some time yet to come. Oh, and verse 15 says the same thing, and verse 14. O, noes!! verse 12 says "shall be", likely meaning in Jeremiah's, no, scratch that, likely meaning in the future, rather like verse 10, and verse 7 (Did I miss one here, oh, yes, verse 8 is where Jeremiah practically puts words in Daniel's mouth; you know, the ones from Dan 9 about cleansing iniquity and all that rot that Jesus said he was here for, and why he got tacked onto a cross).

            Trying to argue that Jeremiah is a failed prophet, because Israel has not had a king sitting on the throne since around 687BC, fails, because Jeremiah was not claiming this for any time other than a future one.

            You might do better trying to say that Jeremiah was a charlatan because he wrote all this while simultaneously telling the Hebrews that Babylon was about to conquer the city.

      Really, I’d had enough of the kvetching, if you’ll pardon the Yiddish expression, of how “commercialized” Christmas has become. Anyone can opt out of it if they want to; there are no laws forcing people to buy Christmas presents. And the portion of their income the average American or Canadian spends on Christmas is a mere fraction of what much poorer people in India and China spend on weddings. Like a year’s salary, or more. Nobody forces them to do it either.

    Thousands of people including women and children are being held illegally and tortured by rebels who helped oust Colonel Gaddafi, according to a UN report.

    Around 7,000, many of them foreigners, are behind bars in private prisons and makeshift detention centres, beyond the control of the new Libyan government and without access to any legal redress.

    The report by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will be embarrassing for Britain and other governments which supported the overthrow of the Gaddafi regime despite concerns about who would take power in their place.

    As an example of the atrocities committed by the rebels, the report highlighted the town of Tawerga, whose inhabitants have been accused of siding with Gaddafi during the civil war.

    The UN said Tawergas are ‘reported to have been targeted in revenge killings, or taken by armed men from their homes, checkpoints and hospitals and some allegedly later abused or executed in detention’.

The article said Gaddafi had done good things. I did NOT glorify Gaddafi or praise him. I merely copied the article. I did state that under Gaddafi, Blacks were safe. That Blacks were safe under Gaddafi is a true fact.

          I also replied to you before where I gave you information that said there was a cover up – that Gaddafi was not responsible but PA Muslims were.

          And as for murdering Americans; I have stated repeatedly that Al Qaeda murders our troops in Iraq and yet America supported Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah terrorists in Libya. I am horrified and deeply DISGUSTED that the terrorists who MURDER our troops in Iraq are supported by our government.

    I move in circles where some have big judgmental attitudes about shopping and that horrible thing, CAPITALISM! On my fB page there is one who is promoting the "buy nothing" mantra.

    What I have to say to that is…let people have their fun. If they want to shop, let them. Who are we to judge if they have "too much" or are being materialistic and greedy. Sure, some are…maybe more than some, but let them learn their lessons, if there are lessons to be learned. Also, what about the children? Sure, it's easy to say "buy nothing" if you are single adult, but if you are a householder, the children need something for the holidays. That does not make it bad. Shopping in itself is not bad or evil.

    I want to ask those people "why are you so against any pleasure or fun". I say if the fun and pleasure does not hurt anyone or any creature….enjoy! Just be in balance, don't go over the top.
