George “Robin Hood” Soros and His Merry Band of Pot Stirrers

In what seems to be a weekly, if not daily, number of protest marches around the globe recently, this weeks’ March 26th “March for the Alternative” is the latest effort to stir the pot from the global powers-that-be. As we have discovered in recent weeks and months, these movements and revolutions are given the appearance of the grassroot actions of frustrated citizens of the world, yet they always seem to come back to the same handful of people and groups.
The “March for the Alternative” is being well publicized by Movements.org (you know, the same people who work so well on revolution with Google and the State Dept.). This is how they introduce us to the latest:
On March 26th, more than 100,000 people will gather in London to ‘March for the Alternative.’ They’re protesting deep government cuts: slashed local budgets that mean cuts to libraries, child care, public transportation, public safety, and assistance for the elderly—combined with opening up the publicly-funded National Health Service to private companies at a loss of 50,000 jobs.
Shades of Wisconsin…it seems no one on the Left wants to cut a cent from anything. But that doesn’t make any sense in the current economy….does it? And it sounds way too close to the plans for created financial chaos announced this week by Glenn Beck and posted on The Blaze.
In the same way the radical progressives network with each other, their action sites always network extensively, too. We start with the “March for the Alternative” website, and although it is not easily found, there is a small logo from the sponsoring organization at the bottom of the page: TUC (Trades Union Congress). There they explain that there is plenty of money to continue to fund all the goodies we have grown accustomed to:
Ministers say there is no alternative.
But both of the government’s two key decisions are political choices, not economic necessity.
“This is a rich country. We have plenty of money, and if you don’t believe me, ask Haliburton.”
Denying our debt and refusing to accept any budget cuts doesn’t sound like common sense to the average person, but they do indeed have an alternative. March for the Alternative links us to FalseEconomy.org, where they explain in detail.
The real answer, according to them, is the Robin Hood Tax. Their tag line says it all, “Turning a Global Crisis Into a Global Opportunity.” This is how they introduce their ingenious plan:
A tax on banks that would give billions to tackle poverty and climate change, here and abroad.
This tax on the financial sector has the power to raise hundreds of billions every year globally. It could give a vital boost to the NHS, our schools, and the fight against child poverty in the UK – as well as tackling poverty and climate change around the world.
Not complicated. Just brilliant.
This doesn’t sound like free market capitalism to me. This sounds like global socialism, although they prefer to call it “economic justice.” Who would be promoting socialism to the globe? According to them, tens of thousands back this plan, including many of our favorite global manipulators such as Jeffrey Sachs, George Soros and Warren Buffet. In fact, we may recall that Bill Gates Sr. proposed it for Washington State.
NewZeal Blog has dicussed the relationship between Soros and Sachs before, including Sachs’ commitment to global taxation:
Sachs and Soros have shared many platforms in recent years and Soros’ has funded one of Sachs’ African projects to the tune of $50 million.
Sachs makes it clear that the United States should be the major funder of his globalist vision. He also calls for an international financial transactions tax and a carbon levy – both to rein in capitalism and to finance the West’s “commitments” to the world’s poor nations.
The Robin Hood tax has been heavily promoted. It was pitched to the leaders at the G20 Summit back in November by a group of over 183 organizations, according to Sky News Online. Not surprisingly, it seems to be a favorite cause with unions, too. It was being promoted by the AFL-CIO’s Richard Trumka back in September of 2010 and was featured by the UK’s Trades Union Congress (sponsor of this week’s march) last year. Their Robin Hood page lists 48 additional organizations promoting the plan.
With the promotion it is getting on Movements.org, and with our State Dept. connection to the Movements site, you have to wonder exactly what the level of involvement is here. In fact, Erica Sagrans, who wrote the piece about this event at Movements.org, is a former “new media” staffer for Nancy Pelosi and Organizing for America. She is currently tweeting from the UK where she is helping set up Twitter accounts in advance of this event.
The “March for the Alternative” is like so many actions of late, always linking back to the same global governance socialists. We are way past the time to wake up to the global network, stirring the pot with our current problems and economic issues to ensnare us, with George “Robin Hood” Soros always seemingly at the helm.
