Over the past weekend, the United States and its allies have instituted a bombing campaign in support of Libyan rebels seeking the overthrow of Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi. While Gadhafi is a despicable tyrant, very little consideration appears to have been given to who the rebels are, what they represent, and what kind of Libya they might create once Gadhafi is gone.

The following day he tweeted, “The jihad begins today.” Despite university policy which prohibits threats of violence, and with a police investigation underway, MU has opted to take no disciplinary action against the student.

Too often, the way conservatives are portrayed in the media is more a reflection of leftist traits than conservative behavior. If conservatives are as contemptible as the Left posits, an honest portrayal of them should be enough to demonstrate their negative impulses, yet much of how they are depicted in the media is exaggeration, amalgamation, and falsehood.
