As he suffocated to death at the US Consulate in Benghazi on the 11th anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the US, did US Ambassador Christopher Stevens understand why he and his fellow Americans were being murdered?

      yes – this story is amazing in the FACT that over TWO HUNDRED YEARS AGO we went to war with the islamic "barbary pirates" and here we are these 2 centuries later STILL dealing with the islamic Somali pirates!!! and here we are these centuries later and in a war AGAIN because of some damn islamic whacko's thinking they are justified by THEIR GOD to fly planes into buildings and murder innocent ppl…

    The chickens have indeed come home to roost.
    Without authorization from Congress, and in violation of the War Powers Act, Obama unconstitutionally waged war against Gaddafi's Libya to enthrone the rabid Al-Qaeda linked Islamists that are now biting the American hand that fed them.
    This would never have happened under the quasi-secular Gaddafi who had no stomach for Islamists, and who posed no threat whatsoever to the United States.

    Unfortunately, the sychophantic pro-Obama media are trying to deflect attention from the monumental poor judgement of their demi-god that led to this fiasco.
    First they blame the "Jewish" film maker for exercising his First ammendment right to free speech, then they unduly focuss on Romney's response.
    Republicansmust not let them get away with it, and make a big deal out of this in the coming election to dethrone Obama bin Laden.

    Well, can I let my imagination run riot like everyone else's for a moment? If it's not the Chinese who are in fact the mysterious element behind the film, and there are plenty of them running around free as chicken fried rice in California, they were pretty quick to take advantage of it. With the M/E going, going, gone, to the highest bidder in the region, and that will be the blokes hiding behind white dresses, and not the ones in dressed moustaches, good chance for the Chinese to make their move, and channel a little pent up anger the way of Japanese traders in China.

    If only the Turkish ended up in the M/E driving seat, with Japan in the South East Asian one. Fat chance of that, with a marxist monkey like Barry creating the power vacuums. Look to the Arabs and Chinese helping him into the back of the global taxi, where he wants to be anyway, free to weigh in on is own people 100% of the time. Normally, I'd end a post like this with a string of insults, or a cliche, but that would probably cause offense, where none was intended. You know, the leopard never changes its spots. But if a little al quida pro quo croc was on hand to take your man down, it was the Saudi chef de cabinet who carried him to the middle of the lake, and tucked him into cold watery storage. Poor Le Vieux. Every crocodile feeder is only one slip away from being food!

    When you are about to make a big move on an old enemy, first distract the only friend who would normally have his back. Never mind Poker and Monopoly, I'd fancy giving Barry a hiding at Risk as well. He is only good for catching flies, as the Turkish like to say when they enter your store, and there are no customers in sight. The attack instinct is part and parcel of being a predator in the animal kingdom.

    In the part civilized world, my money's on Fu Manchu, as the Napoleon of this crime. But you guys will no doubt plump for the thick new muslim moustache, not the white robed crusaders, never mind the droopy Chinese one. One more term of Barry, and wave goodbye to the South China Seas! And that's enough from Kingofdisco, I hope he has been of service. Those fiends have eyes everywhere!

    Focus on abortixn, gay marriaxe, and tiddly winks. That should keep the dragon from the door. And I'll keep away from crocodiles, which my bush doctor told me are less dangerous than the sector that closest resembles them, the media, wether main-stream or mid-stream, as long as you don't play around with them when they are bored or hungry, or just harvesting for storage. Wait until they look like they are sleeping on land!

    OK, the attacks on the Libyan embassy didn't represent the thinking of the government or of the mass of the Libyan people.

    So the diplomatic answer is to cut off all U.S. aid to Libya, assuming we're providing them with any until the government and people of Libya offer better treatment to our diplomats. Seems not too totally difficult or nuanced to do. The people and government of Libya can put some pressure on the bad guys to behave themselves, right?

    Now that I've solved the Libya issue, what's the issue with Egypt, Yemen, and the other Islamic countries where Americans are at risk? I'd say, either close our embassies in those countries and bring our people home, expel the diplomats from those countries in the U.S. and send them back home, either that or send in large detachments of Marines to protect the embassies , move a naval fleet into the Mediterranean or the Indian Ocean, and do a LOT of overflights for the next month or so. Do a little practicing on supplying isolated embassies by air, and some OJT on tactical air support.

    Blow off a drone or two in the desert.

    The first delusion that Americans suffered in this latter-day crisis came right after 9/11, when, for some unknown reason, there was quite a groundswell of opinion that Islamic thought had nothing to do with the attacks. They said Islam is a "religion of peace," something it has NEVER been under any stretch of the imagination (CHRISTIANITY is the religion of peace), and they even coined the name "Islamist," to characterize those who commit their horrors in the name of Allah (as Allah's book, the Qur'an, demands). That's their first delusion and fantasy.

    Caroline I have been a long time reader/admirer of yours and for the first time I must disagree with a point you made. Hillary Clinton knew full well what it meant when that flag of Al Qaeda first flew over Libya. She, as much if not more so than Obama, is responsible for the rapid advances that the Muslim Brotherhood is making in the U.S. Their support of Resolution 16/18 makes it very clear that they are planning to silence any criticism of Islam. Her immediate subordinate Huma Abedin has roots directly traceable to the Brotherhood and the Muslim Students Association.
    Hillary Clinton because she is less under the microscope than Obama is doing more for Islam than he. Together they are writing the book on what they hope to be the end of Israel.     It was also reporting based on what the filmmaker himself claimed. It sucks that it was reported at all (along with the "100 Jews funded this!" claim), but the journalists weren't making it up. They asked the filmmaker, he told them, they printed it. Only later did it become clear that a man with Christian backers and supporters was inexplicably trying to throw blame onto the Jewish community by lying about his own background.

    Lemme see if I got this right. The U.S. sends military support and a high ranking diplomat in the form of a gay ambassador, to help gangs of religiously fanatical tribal bandits overthrow the local government. Then, we should be surprised when one or more of those gangs turns their guns on Americans? Really? Lemme say that again; gangs, thugs, Muslims, smugglers, slavers, outlaws. It's what they do, stupid.

    Were American leaders this clueless when Pancho Villa was running around our southern border burning, killing and looting? Did the president portray those murderous bandits as freedom fighters? Did America support Pancho and expect to be loved in return? Oh sure, Obama and Hillary are very smart and they understand these things very well indeed. Or, maybe not so much?
