After Obama threatened to pull his support from the Syrian rebels, the Syrian National Council convened in Qatar, the regime that is the sugar daddy of the Arab Spring and the Jihad, to relieve all worries about the Syrian rebels being Jihadist thugs by appointing an Islamic cleric as their leader… problem solved.
The media is calling Imam Mouaz al-Khatib a “moderate” Islamist, which is how they describe any Islamist who doesn’t try to kill them in the middle of an interview. And I’m sure that will outweigh the screams of Syrian’s murdered Christians and the Alawi refugees.
The goal was to create a more inclusive and moderate Syrian rebel movement and if appointing a Sunni Islamist cleric to head it up doesn’t accomplish that, I can’t imagine what will.
Bassem Said Ishak said Khatib’s Islamist hue would not trouble Western backers.
The Muslim Brotherhood hasn’t troubled them, so why would Imam Mouaz al-Khatib?
Turkey and Qatar are insisting that everything is now solved and the rest of the world needs to get on board. Left undiscussed is the fact that most Syrian rebels are either Jihadists or working with them. But now Obama and Hollande and Cameron have the cover they need to get back on board with the Sunni side of the Syrian Civil War and create a hundred more Benghazis.

I must not be paying attention. Tell me again, why is Muslims killing Muslims a bad thing? And, when is a Muslim not a fanatical killer? And, where can I sign up to help them kill each other? Never mind, all I need to do is let them be themselves. So should we all.
