Muslim Clerics: Kill All Who Insult Islam

Recently an Egyptian Muslim posted a YouTube videotape of himself cursing Islam, its holy book, the Koran, tearing the latter to pieces and throwing it in the garbage. Excerpts of what he said follow:

There it is, Allah’s book, this is the basic catastrophe. I don’t know what day it is of this disgusting month of Ramadan! You are making the tearing of the Quran such a big and dangerous thing… it is instinctive to tear this book, those sons of [profanity] think they can threaten me and challenge me to tear the Quran, but I want to prove to them that they are nothing and what is the big deal in tearing this book!! There it is [he starts tearing the Quran] in the trash. Are you feeling better now! You cannot touch a hair on my head! We keep blaming Hamas and Gaza, but it is not them, it is this son of [profanity] book that I am stepping on right now. That book is the source of all evil and the real catastrophe. There is nothing new here, it is not Omar Abdel Rahman, Abbud or all the others; it is this garbage that is causing us to run in a demonic never-ending circle that will never end.

While this latest Koran desecration is a reminder that there are everyday Egyptians who are sick of the Talibanization of Egypt, a recent talk show on Al Hafiz channel concerning this incident is an indicator of what is in store for them.

After the video of the man tearing the Koran was played, one of three guests, a bearded and white-robed Dr. Mahmoud Sha’ban, visibly shaken by what he had just seen, said:

Someone like him must receive the punishment he deserves—and it is death. He is an apostate… It is clear from what he says that he is a Muslim, and must be killed as an apostate. As for that act itself, it is an infidel act, and he deserves to be struck by the sword in a public place—and as soon as possible; as soon as possible; as soon as possible. It must be announced and photographed and disseminated among the people, so that all the people may know that we respect our Koran and its words from Allah, and whoever insults it, receives his punishment from Allah. If people like him are left alone, they will only get bolder and bolder.

The next guest, Sheikh Abdul Mohsin, said: “I support the words of Sheikh Mahmoud [who just spoke], that this man must be killed fast, that he may be an example to others, so that all learn that we have reached a new phase in respecting Islam and the holy sanctity of the Koran and Sunna. This man has become an apostate and must suffer the penalty in front of the people.”

The third and final guest, Dr. Abdullah, was somewhat critical of the first two Islamic scholars—not because they called for the man’s death, but because, by focusing on the fact that the man had apostatized, it seemed as if they were exonerating non-Muslims: “The issue of killing him is not limited to his being a Muslim and then apostatizing. No, it is known to us from the Sharia that whoever insults the Prophet or tears the Koran, his judgment is death—whether he’s a Muslim or non-Muslim, or non-Muslim.”

      I think I am no more respectful of Islam that you: it is indeed a murderous, enslaving cult. But it does no good- and may well do harm- to speak of Islam, or any religion, the way you do.         Sorry Larry, the time for niceties and pleasantries with islam is over, the only thing they fear and respect is the mailed fist. There is no more debate, islam must be utterly destroyed period! It must be confronted at every turn, if violence is what they extoll the faithful to do, then give it to them in spades with no mercy and no quarter, that is how to defeat jihad and islam, not by debating it.

        i. the Hindus, Sikhs and few Christians of Bangladesh and Pakistain
        ii. the Jews who formerly inhabited the muslo-fascist states of Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, Libya and Tunisia
        iii. the Christians who are being ethnically cleansed, raped and persecuted by muslimes in Nigeria, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia etc.

      I happen to agree with kafir4life in this instance. We need to realize that Islam is at war with us, and all such polite language now goes out the window. Americans and the entire West must recognize that we are in a life and death struggle with the world's most evil religion. We either fight or we submit, but there is no peaceful middle-ground with these fanatics.

      Besides, do we seriously think we are going to gain a listening ear from Muslims by refusing to use harsh but, in many cases, truthful terms? Have Muslims worldwide shown a willingness to reason about such matters? Have they demonstrated a propensity to self-evaluate their violent actions toward others who don't believe in Muhammad's message? We are at war with Islam and, therefore, we must use all of our arsenal (language and otherwise) in defense of ourselves and the West.

    So what these people are saying is: He must die but I don't have the courage to do it right here like I'm saying. I am expecting others to do what I say because I have not the courage to do it myself. You people are the weak link in mankind. Which is more important? To take care of your sick and destitute or to romp around in your robes crying out for the death of anyone that insults your political system which doesn't take care of its sick and destitute.

    islam is despicable, but only because of its contents and the followers who adamantly refuse to change or revise the koran and sharia. Once in a while, a muslim voice of decency surfaces. Tawfik Hamid, an egyptian and muslim, has written that islam needs to change and reminds his readers that there is a fatwa still around to kill salmon rushdie, but no islamic cleric ever authored a fatwa against osama bin laden. He reminds us that Jews were thrown out of arab countries with no compensation while 1.4 million arabs, a fifth of the population, live comfortable and free lives in Israel, the only democracy in the middle east. islam will not be changed, but the rest of us don't have to accept its savagery.

    Good for this man! He see's islam for what it truly is, the devil's religion. He was raised in an islamic background and has the balls to stand up to these evil men. He has understood that islam is not good for anybody. I don't know what he believes in at the moment, but I pray for his protection. That God, the father of Jesus Christ keeps him safe from those who are earnestly seeking to torture him to death in the name of allah. I pray that all things work together to bring him closer to the love of Jesus Christ. Something so opposite to the hate and destruction of islam. islam is a demonic religion of fear that has no respect for human life whether it be the life of a fellow muslim ofr the life of an "infidel".

    Someone who tears up the Koran isn't the only Apostate under Muslim law. If you were born to a Muslim father — whether he practised the religion or not and regardless of whether the mother is Muslim — you are considered a Muslim. And if you renounce your faith — by, for example, becoming a Christian — you are an apostate.

    Know anyone in the public eye who fits this description? A certain president of a certain North American democracy?

    That's why no less an authority than the New York Times prior to Obama's election saw fit to publish an opinion piece that attempted to bring this concern to the American people. Indeed, one of the more legitimate justifications for the birther movement (indeed, the ONLY legitimate one as far as I'm concerned) was that Obama was refusing to release his original birth certificate because it may have indicated that his father was a Muslim and, if so, that would have put his life in danger.

    Is Allah a god? Then let him contend for himself. (Judges 6:28-31) If Allah is a god he should kill this "apostate" himself and show that he IS a god instead of having some ignorant fool who can barely put to sentences together to form a rational thought to do it for him.     Oh, I'm sure all those 'moderate' Muslims will rise up to protest the threats and violence of their more 'extreme' Muslim brothers, right? After all, Islam has been hijacked by a 'few extreme' zealots who don't represent the vast majority of Muslims, right? Uh, funny thing though, I never see large groups of 'moderate' Muslims protesting the 'extreme' ones. I never see 'moderate' Muslims raise money to help the families of Americans who have been killed by those 'extreme' Muslims – you know, the highjacking ones?

    I would be tempted to think that maybe there's no such thing as a 'moderate' Muslim majority, but that's only a thought motivated by prejudice and 'hate' toward people who differ from my White skin . . . . uh, right?
