I have a sneaking suspicion that perhaps the First Lady has no concept of just what a President has to do and said "Honey I need you to take a night off and spend it with the family" and he foolishly agreed, also having no concept of just how important his on-call job IS, and thus blew off Benghazi to the detriment of the Ambassador and the others.
First lady? I was thinking more along the lines of Reggie Love or his replacement.

you're giving everyone too much credit and assuming the best of him. don't be so naive.
well it's a theory. Probably what he'd put in his next book, for sure. But realistically, yeah, it's probably way worse than that.

Everybody in DC IS a cartoon, just about drawing it's self.
I blame it on the Saturday Mornings. Should have been outlawed in the '60s and '70s while we still had the chance.
Poor old barry never watched those, he grew up in Indonesia.
Obama has been AWOL his entire public life. In Illinois he voted "Present" on the difficult votes. In Washington, he demurred to the Democratic congressional leadership on Obamacare legislation. He didn't know a thing about "Fast and Furious". He prefers to "lead from behind" on foreign affairs. He tells Panetta to take care of Benghazi and then hides until the crisis comes to its terrible end. AWOL is the Obama way. Leave subordinates to take the blame and scoot out the back door to a fund raiser. Do anything to avoid having to take the blame.
