Global Warming scammers face a major threat. It’s light, white and fluffy. It’s snow. There’s too much of it and it makes people question their claims that all the snow is going away.
While MSNBC is claiming that the end of skiing is nigh, nearly 60 percent of the mainland United States is covered in the white stuff, with snow reaching the Mexican border. There might even be snow in Florida. What will Al Gore think?
Global Warming scammers, like any television psychic, are adept at coming up with explanations for why the North Pole didn’t end in 2012. Yes, there are more blizzards and more snow, they admit, but it’s still the fault of Global Warming, which is now called Climate Change.
The Global Snow Lab at Rutgers University says that spring snow cover in the Northern Hemisphere has shrunk on average by 1 million square miles in the last 45 years.
An upcoming study in the Journal of Climate says computer models predict annual global snowfall to shrink by more than a foot in the next 50 years.
Well that sounds all doomy and gloomy, but at the same time we just set 652 new snow records. It must be witchcraft.
The record furthest south, in Paradise, AZ, of 6.3 inches snowfall, beat the old 2 inch record going all the way back to 1896. Paradise, AZ is just 40 miles from the Mexican border.
I also had a look at temperature records this past week, where there were 92 new record low temperatures all the way into Florida, and only 20 new high temperature records set:
So maybe it’s really Global Freezing after all. But talk of a new Ice Age is dangerous, because people might start wondering how they’re going to keep from freezing to death when coal plants are banned, oil drilling is banned and the solar panels are iced over and the wind towers are frozen.
