Egypt Melting Down. State of Emergency Declared and Rape Gangs Go On Rampage

Things are getting very ugly in Egypt. It’s not so much a new violence as it is the lingering chaos unleashed by Tahrir Square and exploited by various factions. Western governments and domestic voters backed Morsi in the hopes that he would provide stability, but after the authorities temporarily lost control of Port Said and Morsi unilaterally declared a State of Emergency in three cities, in violation of his own constitution, stability is nowhere to be found.

With 44 dead, as of now, the Egyptian pound imploding and Morsi looking increasingly unable and unwilling to fix the economic problems that caused the Jan 25 Revolution, Egypt may be headed for another revolution.

That is part of what’s going on. Whether it’s soccer clubs or Salafi militias, Egypt is melting down away from a state and into a state of violence. The assertion of force backed by international aid counts for more than the rule of law.

Egypt appears to have developed its own Black Bloc anarchist members who dress in black and engage in armed confrontations. There appears to however be some debate over whether the members are legitimate or regime provocateurs.

Either way it’s a sign that protest is becoming a way of life. Jan 25 sanctified the protester and transformed organized protest into a more significant political force than the voting booth. And that means unrest is just one triggering event away,

Some say the violence serves the Muslim Brotherhood’s purposes. Others say the Muslim Brotherhood regime is about to fall.

The chaos include the usual rioting and police shootings. And as usual, sexual assaults, that appear to be less about rape and more about inflicting horror and shock on the protesters.

“It happens very quickly,” said one victim, a protester who was assaulted on a street leading to the square, and who spoke to the Guardian on condition of anonymity. “Suddenly there were six men on one side of me, and six on the other, and they just started scratching me all the way down my skin. It’s not just sexual assault. It’s like they actually want to hurt you.”

That appears to be in line with earlier reports suggesting that the sexual assaults are initiated by paid rape gangs targeting female protesters.

The tactics of the defenders are often as crude as those of the attackers, in the absence of any meaningful law enforcement.

My team were ready and we prepared ourselves to get our designated area but we never made it there because as soon as we stepped out of the building, we saw a large group of men assaulting a girl. Our rescue team moved in immediately. They formed a large empty space around the girl by using flamethrowers, machetes and other weapons that they were using to drive away the crowd. Anyone who tried to get to the girl was deterred by the rescue team who would swing their flamethrowers and weapons to force the men back. The captain then started yelling out ‘SAFETY’ “SAFETY”.

But there does not appear to be any safety in Egypt tonight.

Flamethrowers, eh? Well, I guess that's one way to remind a rapist of what hell is like.

If only they had better air cover, they wouldn't need those dangerous things. How about some attack helicopters? F16s are fine for chasing away other state air enemies and attack runs on Israel but they're not ideal for terrorizing citizens. OTOH, they just might figure out a way in Egypt.

      Thanks again 0'Bama.

They can't be anything tactical. It has to be the old aerosol can and zippo lighter. You need skill and good fuel to build a real tactical flamethrower.

I would just take a proactive approach, and move out of that dirtbag hell hole and let the monsters eat each other as they fight over that sacred pile of sand.

I'm thinking agricultural firepots. Still, given the gun debate it is a sound reminder that firearms are a taming of man's oldest energy weapon: fire. I wouldn't presume that Egyptian ingenuity is not up to making destructive devices from what's at hand. Imagine what Americans will do, should the need arise.

Me thinks the Muslim Brotherhood, by getting Mohamed Morsi elected, have overreached in their demands to change Egypt into a hard lined Islamic state is back firing. The Egyptian people thought they were getting some positive change in governance, but instead, surprise, surprise, they get Muhammad's boot on their necks.

This is a blow and setback to the Muslim Brotherhood, and to Obama's efforts to aid and abet a Middle East Caliphate. The F-16s are on the way, but watch for the swords to come out against the people.

All those people in cars waiting to go through traffic and not a single one of them hit one of those bastards? I can't believe it.

Don't forget the taxpayer is contributing more borrowed funds to this. Dear Leader Hussein the Flexible has written off $1bn in Egypt's debt, and lent more: the EU has lent funds it does not have ("borrowed" out of thin air). In due course these "loans" will be turned into gifts as Egypt sinks into penury. The Dollar and the Euro thus become progressively debased by this fraudulent sleight of hand and the taxpayers are made poorer.

Hey Michael, I really enjoyed your "Easy Guide to Sharia" poem – nice work. You make a good point here too.

If one looks at the major revolutions of history….the French, Russian and Iranian revolutions to name just three, there was typically a period of chaos before the revolutionary regime fully consolidated power. I suspect the MB will not just survive, but eventually prosper.

Question is, can they do so without brutalizing the Egyptian opposition? I suspect not; their proclivities are not democratic to begin with….their totalitarian impulses have already been revealed with Morsi's judicial power grab. Most likely, the regime will quite soon begin to bare its teeth and any pretense of a free society in Egypt will vanish.

One wonders how the Western proponents of the Arab spring will spin such a turn of events? My guess is that the pundit/advocates will try and exculpate themselves by falling silent and hoping the world forgets their total lack of foresight,…while the policy-makers, like Barry himself, will articulate various rationals – all false – for continuing to direct aid to sustain Morsi and his ilk.

I feel for the Coptic Christian peoples of Egypt. They’re caught between a rock and a hard place. An awful situation to be in. God; help these people. It seems like the West won’t, or is too afraid.

  7. Magen.d says:

Is 19:2-4 “I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian- brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. The Egyptians will lose heart, and I will bring their plans to nothing; they will consult the idols and the spirits of the dead, and mediums and the spiritists. I will hand the Egyptians over to the power of a CRUEL MASTER, and a FIERCE KING will rule over them,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty…. (Written by Isaiah ca 750 B.C.) Jeremiah 25:32 – This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation (Egypt, Libya, Syria, et al); a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth.” At that time those slain by the Lord will be everywhere – from one end of the earth to the other…….” (Written by Jeremiah ca 600 B.C.) The day is nigh at hand!!!

  8. Magen.d says:

P.S. – The O.T. lays out the (4 Destroyers – or Judgements of Gods Wrath) —- Jer 15:3 – “I will send 4 kinds of destroyers against them”, declares the Lord. —— the 4 destroyers of the Lord are (Ref. Jer 15:3, Jer 16:1-4, Ez 14:12 – 23) …. 1. Famine 2. Plague (H1N1, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Meningitis Outbreak) 3. Wild Beast (Pagan/Godless People/Armies/Nations – “Wild Beast” will be set against you from within or without. All the School Shootings, Bin Laden, the Theater Shooting et al, have been part of this Judgement) 4. Sword of the Lord (Natural Disasters – Tornadoes, Floods, Hurricanes, Earthquakes – Sandy, Katrina, Tsunami’s et al)…….. The “Disaster” that is spreading from nation to nation and that will bring down every nation on earth is the “Cup of Gods Wrath” (Jer 25:15-38) and is also known as Isaiahs Apocolypse (Is Chapters 24 – 27 ALL).

  9. Magen.d says:

Also – The “4 Destroyers” previously mentioned exactly correspond to the 4 Horseman of Revelations 6:1-8 (See Last Sentence Verse 8). 1. White Horse = Plague 2. Red Horse = Wild Beast (Peace from the earth = removal of the restrainer = Is 5:5 = why the rash of shootings, Bin Laden, Egypt, Syria, Anti-Christ et al – the Wild Beast/Evil/Red Horse is Riding as I type this). 3. Black Horse = Famine (Self Explanitory) and 4. Pale Horse = Sword of the Lord (The Great Earthquake [Verse 12} / Triumphal Entry of Jesus Christ with His Sword) …… The 4 Destroyers (Jer 15:3, Ez 14:12 – 23 {Esp. V 21}, Rev 6:1-8 {Esp. V8} SWORD,FAMINE,PLAGUE,WILD BEAST Why????!!!!! ===== Jer 16:10-13; Ez 22 (All)
