My night at Brooklyn College.
So far only Muslim leftist Keith Ellison’s teary testimony has been featured. This testimony, if it can be called that, was to accuse the committee of targeting the innocent and feeding ignorant prejudice against Muslims. Ellison and his political allies ask: Why is the Muslim community a focus of the Committee’s concern (and not, say, Presbyterians?)
Stanley Kurtz has an important blog post on Obama’s socialist agendas which are cynically masked enough to fool Michael Medved.
A high school senior reports: “I’m entitled to my opinion and certainly did not deserve the accusations of being a Nazi, even when I’m Jewish.”
Al Sharpton is continuing his lifelong campaign to discredit the civil rights movement. On Fox & Friends this morning Sharpton attacked the planned congressional hearings into Muslim extremism and the lack of cooperation by Muslim organizations in combatting the terrorist threat.
The NY Times Sunday magazine has a cover story this week designed to create sympathy for an American terrorist named Lori Berenson. If you gave me an hour I could find ten similar Times stories about Americans who are at war with their country or in bed with terrorists.

There is no greater or more important bulwark against totalitarianism than our First Amendment freedoms.
Anthony Maschek is an American war hero, wounded 11 times in a firefight in northern Iraq. At townhall meeting at Columbia University to discuss whether ROTC should be part of the university program, Maschek was greeted by boos and cries of “racist” when he said that whatever opponents of the war might think of it, there were people out there who wanted to kill them.
