In fairness, most liberals do not feel affection for the worst of the worst among leftists such as Mao Zedong, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, Che Guevara, or Peoples Temple founder Jim Jones.

But there are a few domestic radicals who have attained a kind of folk hero status in left-wing circles.

Convicted cop killer and Black Panthers member Mumia abu Jamal, would-be GOP convention bombers David Guy McKay and Bradley Neil Crowder, ACORN founder and cyber-terrorism advocate Wade Rathke, Obamacare architect and convicted swindler Robert Creamer, Earth Day booster and murderer Ira Einhorn, imprisoned terrorist lawyer Lynne Stewart, Weather Underground leaders Jeff Jones, Bill Ayers, and Bernardine Dohrn, just to name a few.

“Speedway Bomber” Brett Kimberlin isn’t famous enough yet to have a cult following on the Left but give the determined, energetic activist time. A few short years after his release from federal prison the radical leftist has been embraced by all the right people, winning grants from the George Soros-funded Tides Foundation and wealthy celebrities.

He’s earned the confidence of leftist luminaries such as Teresa Heinz Kerry and Barbra Streisand who have sent money to his activist group, the Justice Through Music Project. The seven-year-old Bethesda, Maryland-based 501c3 nonprofit entity buys into the radical environmentalist agenda, supports the goals of the Occupy Wall Street movement, and claims to have registered 100,000 people to vote. (See its latest IRS Form 990 [tax return] here.)

This Maryland resident is a political trailblazer of sorts. Kimberlin is a tactical innovator whose tried and true methods would have impressed the father of modern community organizing, Saul Alinsky. The late conservative Internet entrepreneur Andrew Breitbart recognized Kimberlin’s unique talents last fall, tweeting that the convicted terrorist and his confederates needed “exposure.”

Kimberlin, as blogger “Liberty Chick” previously reported, spent almost 17 years in prison after being convicted of detonating bombs in a week-long terror spree in Speedway, Indiana. “One of the blasts horribly maimed a man so badly that it directly led to that man’s suicide a few years later, which was proven when the widow of that bombing victim successfully sued and won a civil judgment against Kimberlin for $1.6 million,” she wrote. Of course Kimberlin not only failed to pay the woman, but denied doing anything wrong. His refusal to cough up what he owed his victim’s wife led to a revocation of his parole.

He also claimed he was secretly exonerated by the powers that be. A record of this surreptitious pardon is bound to surface any day now, delivered by a leprechaun in a unicorn-pulled stage coach.

Until proof of the covert clemency arrives, Kimberlin is focusing on bullying conservatives into silence, which is the same thing that so much of progressivedom is concentrating on nowadays. But unlike Van Jones and the various Marxist agitators who have inflicted damage on conservative talk radio and innocuous groups like the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) through innuendo and smears, Kimberlin gets in his enemies’ faces.

Literally.

A man named Aaron Walker (blogging name Aaron Worthing) is now claiming that Kimberlin tried to frame him for a crime he did not commit. Kimberlin alleges that Walker battered him in a court house even though it’s pretty clear from videos and other evidence that nothing of the sort happened. Walker explains what happened in a heavily annotated, nearly 28,000 word essay at his website Allergic to Bull. In a nutshell, it appears Walker briefly snatched Kimberlin’s iPad away because he feared the violent ex-con was going to hit him with it. Walker says he never made physical contact with Kimberlin and the video evidence embedded in the lengthy blog post appears to confirm his story. The minor scuffle created more legal headaches for Walker.

Why was Walker in court with Kimberlin? Because Kimberlin sued him for daring to write about his criminal record.

The wave of violence unleashed by the Obama-endorsed Occupy Wall Street movement and other elements of the activist Left in recent weeks is part of what left-wingers are calling the “99% Spring.” The actions, which are being cheered on by small-c communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, are designed to foment civil unrest and prompt change.

Occupy Wall Street and the satellite protests it has spawned in cities across the U.S. and around the world have been spectacularly violent. Radical activists are responsible for hundreds of serious crimes, including murder, assault, gang rape, arson, rioting, and robbery.

Around the NATO summit at least four police officers were assaulted by radical activists and around 45 protesters were arrested by police on Sunday. The city of Chicago’s official website may have been targeted by computer hackers on Sunday when it went offline for part of the day. City and federal authorities are investigating.

Former anarchist activist Brandon Darby warned of the approaching violence weeks ago. In an exclusive interview Sunday, Darby said, “I told you so.”

“When an entire movement does nothing but convince young people that America is evil and must be stopped by any means necessary it makes it inevitable that some of them will take actions like the ones we’ve seen over and over again involving police officers, conservatives, and Molotov cocktails,” said Darby.

Darby has been targeted by the Left ever since it was publicly revealed that the former community organizer saved the lives of innocent Americans by thwarting the planned fire-bombing of the 2008 Republican Convention by two anarchists. (The plot was revealed in my book Subversion Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers.)

Also on Sunday, two Chicago-area men were arrested on terrorism-related charges.

Sebastian Senakiewicz, 24, has been charged with falsely making a terrorist threat by claiming that he possessed homemade explosives concealed within a hollowed-out “Harry Potter” novel. He allegedly claimed the device could destroy a highway overpass. Prosecutors said they did not find explosives at Senakiewicz’s home. 

Mark Neiweem, 28, was charged with “solicitation for possession” of explosives or incendiary devices. The accused allegedly talked about making a pipe bomb and wrote out a list of the ingredients he believed were needed to make the device.

Neiweem is a convicted felon with a history of violence. At the time of his arrest he was already on probation for “aggravated battery to a police officer.” He was previously convicted in 2009 of “aggravated assault to a police officer,” a misdemeanor, and in 2005 of “criminal damage to property,” according to newly filed court documents.

During a heart-warming “F*** the Police” protest action Tuesday night in Chicagoland, mask-wearing demonstrators clad in black clothing carried communist and anarchist flags in hopes of winning the hearts and minds of Middle America. One area resident described the raucous march as “scary.”

Leftists and union goons terrorized entire neighborhoods, creating makeshift barricades, dragging dumpsters into the streets, and upending garbage cans. One anarchist apparently beat up an 80-year-old man.

Management at a downtown housing complex in Chicago is warning residents to flee to safety before Occupy demonstrators switch into full rage-against-the-machine mode. The Library Tower Condominium Association sent out a letter indicating that management “is STRONGLY recommending that all residents find places to stay during the conference from May 18 through May 21.”

When the nations of the G8 and NATO begin meeting this weekend, the Occupy Wall Street movement and its allies plan to press their demands. Occupiers want an economy-killing “Robin Hood Tax” to be imposed on financial transactions, an international agreement to curb carbon emissions, and “a nuclear-free Middle East” (translation: the unilateral nuclear disarmament of Israel), according to Adbusters, Kalle Lasn’s left-wing magazine that helped to lay the groundwork for the Occupy movement. Chicago demonstrators won’t be able to protest the G8 summit unless they’re willing to do a lengthy weekend commute. That conference was supposed to take place alongside the NATO conference in Chicago but was relocated to Camp David in Maryland.

The steadily increasing levels of violence from Occupiers may be related to anarchists’ apparently growing influence in the movement. “Anarchist occupiers are energized and their visceral tactics are attracting members,” according to Adbusters, which praised the brutal techniques anarchists used during May Day actions. “Now, the power of the Black Bloc is growing within Occupy and pushing the movement in unexpected directions.”

Useful idiot Aaron Hughes, an organizer with Iraq Veterans Against the War, will also play a role in the protests this weekend. He said he intends to lead a cohort of veterans to the NATO summit. Hughes and other misguided souls plan to return –John Kerry-style— the service medals they earned in Iraq.

Meanwhile, President Obama’s favorite labor organization, the Service Employees International Union, is subsidizing demonstrators by providing Washington, D.C. office space worth $4,000 a month to the Occupy Wall Street movement. Interviewed in that space one Occupy activist ill-suited for abstract thought, Johnny Mandracchia, shared his unusual definition of the word violence with Katie Pavlich of Townhall magazine. It is not violence to smash the windows of a Starbucks coffee shop, said the self-described anarcho-syndicalist, “because Starbucks isn’t a private business – it’s a corporation.” Such acts, including the burning of police cars, are merely examples of vandalism, he said.

While Professor Mandracchia was imparting his novel ideas about law, Obama pals Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn were busy helping the anti-American activists who hope to violently disrupt the approaching NATO summit in Chicago.

Ayers and Dohrn are the close personal friends of Obama who launched his political career with a fundraiser in their Chicago living room when he ran for the Illinois state senate. The small-c communist confab for cash took place several years after the conclusion of a lengthy firebombing campaign conducted by the now-married couple’s terrorist group, the Weather Underground. Ayers and Dohrn escaped justice on a legal technicality after law enforcement personnel failed to cross every “t” and dot every “i” in their quest for evidence against the couple.

George Soros is behind a newly uncovered effort to teach Democratic congressmen how to smear their opponents as racist.

Last week House Democrats invited the radical, left-wing, Soros-financed group called the Center for Social Inclusion “to address the issue of race to defend government programs,” according to documentation reviewed by Joel Gehrke of the Washington Examiner.

“The prepared content of a Tuesday presentation to the House Democratic Caucus and staff indicates that Democrats will seek to portray apparently neutral free-market rhetoric as being charged with racial bias, conscious or unconscious,” Gehrke writes.

According to Gehrke, trainer Maya Wiley of the Center for Social Inclusion blasted “conservative messages [that are] racially ‘coded’ and had images of people of color that we commonly see used” and suggested ways to combat Republicans’ supposedly racially-coded rhetoric.

Facts don’t matter in Wiley’s estimation. “It’s emotional connection, not rational connection that we need,” she said.

Wiley offered that Newt Gingrich calling Obama a “food stamp president,” cannot be “a race-neutral statement, even if Newt Gingrich did not intend racism.” In other words, all criticism of Obama is rooted in racism.

Wiley, a so-called civil rights attorney, is the daughter of the late George Wiley, the leader of the now-defunct National Welfare Rights Organization. NWRO created ACORN in 1970 and President Obama worked for ACORN in his community organizing days, as I note in my book, Subversion Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers.

Maya Wiley also did consulting work for two of Soros’s philanthropies, the Open Society Institute and the Open Society Foundation, and now chairs the board of the Tides network of nonprofits.

The radicalism of Wiley shines brightly on the website of the Center for Social Inclusion. “For more than a quarter century, right-wing rhetoric has dominated debates of racial justice – undermining efforts to create a more equal society, and tearing apart the social safety net in the process,” the propaganda portal opines. Of course only a Marxist with an agenda would argue that “right-wing rhetoric” has somehow torn apart the ever-expanding social safety net. About $16 trillion has been spent on the doomed War on Poverty since it was launched in the mid-1960s and President Obama wants to waste another $10 trillion more.

The Center for Social Inclusion, an Orwellian name if ever there was one, practices the same pathological mixture of Marxism and identity politics that President Obama was raised on. The group was founded based on the assumption that America is an evil structurally racist country that systematically oppresses everyone who is not Caucasian.

The Left’s favorite Wall Street billionaire and a cohort of his radical confederates are promising to contribute as much as $100 million to help the Democratic Party win this November so it can lay the groundwork for the destruction of what’s left of American civil society.

News of the trust fund tidal wave comes after the Soros-funded Democracy Alliance opted to drown Democrats and President Obama’s re-election campaign in an ocean of cash this year. The ultra-secretive group, founded in 2005, is a financial clearinghouse that recommends to its wealthy members projects and groups that aspire to dismantle America as we know it, transforming the nation into a European-style socialist state. The group has directed untold hundreds of millions of dollars to left-of-center causes.

Soros, a currency speculator and convicted inside-trader, is a practiced hand-wringer who frequently tells gullible reporters he is getting out of electoral politics altogether. This is his mantra between elections even though he never actually follows through on the threat.

The preeminent funder of the Left in the United States, Soros openly favors the collapse of the greenback and the decline of America in general. He has said European-style socialism “is exactly what we need now.” He praises Communist China effusively, saying the brutal totalitarian nation has “a better-functioning government than the United States.”

Soros and his billionaire buddies are going to give a king’s ransom to organizations that focus on grassroots organizing, vote manufacturing, and getting welfare recipients and illegal immigrants to the polls so they can vote themselves more taxpayer-funded benefits. The donors plan to take this approach because they are wary of competing directly with pro-Republican “super PACs,” which are independent political action committees without contribution limits. These left-wing fat cats dislike the Supreme Court’s freedom-affirming Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission decision that opened the door to unlimited campaign expenditures, the New York Times reports.

But the ever pragmatic Democracy Alliance founder Rob Stein acknowledged that “[s]uper PACs are critically important.” The invitation-only club is meeting this week in Florida for one of its regular get-togethers at which members vote on which groups to bankroll.

Left-wingers think that local efforts and outreach to voters using Internet-based social media such as Facebook “can have an enormous impact in battleground states in 2012,” added Stein, a longtime Democratic operative.

Soros is expected to fork over $1 million to America Votes. The organization says it has “built a permanent advocacy and campaign infrastructure that provides coordination, data and targeting services” to “over 300 state and national partner organizations to advance progressive policies, expand access to the ballot, coordinate issue advocacy and election campaigns, and protect every American’s right to vote.”

Soros is also expected to give $1 million to American Bridge 21st Century, a sleazy super PAC that focuses on assassinating the character of Republicans. The political action committee is run by the acutely paranoid, emotionally unstable David Brock, a gossip columnist who founded the hyper-partisan fake media watchdog group, Media Matters for America.

Soros spokesman Michael Vachon did his best to rationalize his boss’s behavior.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee appeared alongside former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to respond to a widely publicized taunt hurled at him by the Community Organizer-in-Chief. Without benefit of a time machine, President Obama, whose extended victory dance over killing 9/11 terrorist Osama bin Laden has been receiving saturation media coverage in recent days, preposterously claimed that Romney might not have tried to dispatch the al-Qaeda leader if given the chance.

In an incident captured on news video, the female heckler screamed, “Mitt Romney, you’re a racist!” almost a dozen times, wrecking the public relations optics of the event that was choreographed to highlight Romney’s foreign policy acumen.

It is axiomatic that when left-wingers are desperately worried about losing power they pull out their oldest and most reliable canard. Liberals and their more radical brethren scream “racist!” over and over and over again as if sheer repetition of the lie will somehow make it true.

The attention-seeking woman, identified by New York Magazine as Nastaran Mohit, also cussed at the former Massachusetts governor, screaming, “Fuck you, Mitt Romney!”

Mohit, who turns 30 next month, is the legislative director for a radical left-wing advocacy group called Domestic Workers United (DWU). When lobbying lawmakers in Albany presumably she refrains from dropping F-bombs.

The 12-year-old group Mohit works for describes itself on its website as “an organization of Caribbean, Latina and African nannies, housekeepers, and elderly caregivers in New York, organizing for power, respect, fair labor standards and to help build a movement to end exploitation and oppression for all.”

One of radical philanthropist George Soros’s charities, the Foundation to Promote Open Society, gave DWU a $75,000 grant in 2010 “to support the implementation of the domestic worker bill of rights.” That statute, enacted later the same year, provides certain labor protections for nannies, caregivers, and housekeepers. Those workers have long been targeted for recruitment by labor unions such as the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), President Obama’s favorite labor organization.

“This is a reminder that you are not in control,” an accompanying message read. “Just in case you needed some incentive to stop working we have a little surprise for you. Think fast you have seconds.”

This effort to intimidate participants in the American marketplace for political advantage was not unexpected. As FrontPage Magazine reported Friday, former community organizer Brandon Darby, a leading expert on leftist tactics, said May Day protesters would commit “a lot of violent acts.”

Police sources told ABC News that San Francisco-based Wells Fargo may have been targeted for the white powder mailings because roughly six key Occupy Wall Street members have connections to Oakland, San Francisco, and Berkeley.

Although the news report didn’t mention it, in what is surely a bizarre, freaky coincidence unworthy of the attention of the mainstream media, former Obama green jobs czar Van Jones, a self-described communist whose Rebuild the Dream group is participating in the nationwide protests, hails from Oakland, long a hotbed of left-wing radicalism. Jones, who used to belong to a Maoist group, now says that he supports only nonviolent methods of protest against Americans’ cherished economic freedoms.

Incidentally, this isn’t the first time Wells Fargo has been targeted by left-wing activists. Both before and during the bursting of the nation’s housing bubble, the bank was targeted by the radical street thugs of ACORN, as I reported in my recent book, Subversion Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers. ACORN affiliates took in almost $11 million from 1999 through 2008 from the family charity of left-wing plutocrats Herb and Marion Sandler, founders of subprime lender World Savings Bank. A decade ago as ACORN launched a class action lawsuit and conducted demonstrations against Wells Fargo, the bank just happened to be the Sandlers’ biggest competition in California.

Meanwhile, the radical, anti-American Occupy Wall Street movement, consisting of a dazzling array of Democratic politicians, labor unions, open-borders immigration groups, and a constellation of neo-communist and anarchist collectives, is calling for a general strike against capitalism today. Occupiers want Americans to shun their usual business in order to show the richest so-called one percent of the population what life would be like without the other “99 percent” of society.

The movement website occupywallst.org describes May 1, also known as International Workers’ Day, as “A Day Without the 99%.” Occupiers have urged Americans to refuse to work, attend school, perform housework, or go shopping and instead “Take the Streets on Tuesday!” The May Day activities are part of what left-wingers are calling the “99% Spring.” These actions are designed to disrupt the U.S. economy and capitalize on Americans’ growing political and economic jitters.

As usual, they’re lying.

Leaders also hope to press lawmakers to promote the fraud known as “green energy” and to give those with student loan debts a massive $1 trillion bailout at the expense of taxpayers.

MoveOn and former Obama green jobs czar Van Jones’s “Rebuild the Dream” group are just two of the major left-of-center organizations that are gearing up to inconvenience Americans and manufacture chaos next week. Though activists in various urban centers have different plans for this Tuesday, they are all united in their hatred of the economic system that made America great while uplifting its poorest citizens.

Los Angeles activists claim that on May 1 “[p]eople from all sectors of the city will have a chance … [at] helping to shut down the flow of capital while addressing the 99%’s major grievances.” After a day of agitation “that cripples capitalism in the city,” Occupy Los Angeles supporters will have yet another opportunity to perfect their up twinkle and down twinkle consensus-seeking hand signals at “a special General Assembly” in Pershing Square.

A spokesman for activists in New York told BigGovernment.com that Occupy Wall Street has been participating in “99 Pickets” since April 18 in an extended action that will conclude on May 1. Targets include Chase Bank, Standard and Poor’s, the New York Times Co., ABC, Wells Fargo, Blackrock, Fidelity, and Lazard.

SEIU, National People’s Action, and the ACORN front groups called Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment and Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE) have all announced they will participate in the May Day protests.

Darby said that May Day activists will carry out “very deliberate provocations all across the country” and they will claim that whatever violence follows was instigated by police.

All three are leftists who support the increasingly violent, anti-American, anti-Semitic Occupy Wall Street movement. The Iranian leadership and left-wing groups in the U.S. such as the terrorist-linked Code Pink also support the movement as a way of weakening America.

The teachers’ jihadist junket aimed ostensibly at teaching Iranians about the movement provides “living proof that although Communism for the most part is dead, useful idiots of tyrannies that do still hold power and endanger all of us still exist,” Ron Radosh writes.

The three academics participated in the Tehran University Occupy Wall Street seminar in February. In so doing these overeducated dupes gave aid and comfort to brutal fundamentalists who call America and its ally Israel the “Great Satan” and the “Little Satan.”

As the country Islamists call the “Zionist Entity” contemplates attacking Iran to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons, these New Yorkers’ activism could foreshadow the rise of a pro-Iran movement stateside. After all, a pro-Saddam Hussein movement cropped up on the Left a decade ago as the U.S. government pondered the invasion of Iraq.

The trio consisted of Heather D. Gautney of Fordham University, Alex S. Vitale of Brooklyn College (City University of New York), and John L. Hammond of Hunter College (CUNY). They appear in a news report from Press TV, a propaganda arm of the Islamic Republic.

Although Vitale and Hammond, a contributor to Marxist periodical Monthly Review, said little of substance in the video itself, the hijab-clad Gautney said the Occupy movement would agitate stateside this election cycle and push politicians to grow government.

“We have elections coming up in November and I think that the movement is going to be incredibly active in pressuring politicians to start addressing issues of social inequality,” said the self-described “Occupy Wall Street activist.”

The media-savvy Gautney has been adept at getting exposure for her views.

In an impressive feat of self-deception, Gautney wrote at CNN’s website that “Occupy may be anti-corporate, but it is unambiguously pro-American.”

Gautney, whose absurd pronouncement suggests she has never graced an Occupy demonstration with her actual presence, claimed that the Marxist worldview promoted by the movement is somehow catching on in Iran.

“The discourse [in Iran] seems to be veering from ‘Down with America!’ to ‘Down with the 1 Percent!’” Gautney told Fox News on her return to the United States. “In my view,” the naïve left-winger explained, “this is quite a welcome development, and speaks to Iranians’ affection for Americans despite all the political conflict.”

The starry-eyed fellow traveler also reminisced about a visit with Zahra Mostafavi, daughter of the first Supreme Leader of Iran, the late Ayatollah Khomeini. Gautney romanticized the Iranian revolution, writing about the photographs detailing “dramatic scenes” from Khomeini’s life that she saw in Mostafavi’s house.

This development is not all that surprising because when liberal policies threaten to destroy the country Democrats typically think all they need to do is shout louder to make people understand how wonderful the hated policies really are. This ongoing collaboration with radical left-wing community organizers is also part of the Obama reelection campaign’s divide-and-conquer strategy: Inflame the base and attack opponents relentlessly to draw the public’s attention away from the worsening economy.

In a spectacle that ought to nauseate decent Americans, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius supplicated before Rev. Al Sharpton’s radical left-wing National Action Network (NAN) at its annual convention in the nation’s capital last week. She urged activists at the fancy corporate-sponsored confab to get into the trenches and fight for the misnamed Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) and to let their neighbors know that the law gives them access to mountains of taxpayer-funded freebies.

“In our country what we know is healthcare inequality [has been] one of the most persistent forms of injustice but over the past three years, as Rev. Sharpton reminded us, we have begun to turn the tide,” Sebelius said. “Now is not the time to turn back.”

“We know that the best way to keep moving in the right direction is to get people the facts. Right now there are a lot of people who are benefiting from this law who don’t even know that’s why they are benefiting.”

“We need your help,” the former Kansas governor said. “I’m delighted to be your partner in that effort.” Sebelius, named by Forbes as the 13th most powerful woman in the world by virtue of her post at HHS, virtually runs the federal Leviathan. The proposed fiscal 2013 budget for HHS is a staggering $941 billion. If Obamacare isn’t killed HHS could devour most of the federal budget in the not-too-distant future.

Chiquita Brooks-LaSure, director of coverage policy in the Office of Health Reform (OHR) at HHS, reinforced her boss’s message. In an interview at the conference she said groups like NAN, National Council of La Raza, and the newly rebranded ACORN spinoffs should sing the praises of Obamacare all across the fruited plain.

“So much of this is about educating people and making sure they know what’s in the Affordable Care Act and understanding what it means for them,” said Brooks-LaSure, a former Democratic staffer on the House Ways & Means Committee. “And that is the key to making sure that people understand just how important the law is, to making sure that we improve our healthcare system.”

The activists plan to disrupt shareholder meetings of Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, and 30 other large corporations. They also plan to conduct “actions” against education lender Sallie Mae and businesses they accuse of profiting from student indebtedness. Their strategy is remarkably similar to the subversive plan pushed by SEIU’s Stephen Lerner that aims to destroy the nation’s financial system.

Their first multi-day training session in allegedly nonviolent direct action tactics began on April 9 and took place in hundreds of locations across the country. This “Spring Training” is named after the Arab Spring of 2011 in which popular revolts ousted various leaders in the Middle East and cleared the way for Islamofascists to take over.

Although the 100,000 figure provided by organizers from MoveOn and Jones’s Rebuild the Dream organization is no doubt a gross exaggeration, the training already appears to be paying off.

Supposedly nonviolent Occupy Wall Street activists attacked police and a Starbucks coffee shop in lower Manhattan on April 14. In a bitter taste of things to come, using 8-foot-long metal pipes and bottles as weapons the anarchists and communists dressed in black terrorized coffee drinkers at the Astor Place outlet. Three protesters were reportedly arrested. Charges ranged from inciting to riot, assault, and disorderly conduct.

The Spring Training is endorsed by three ACORN-related organizations:  the Working Families Party, Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE), and Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE). As I explain in my book, Subversion Inc: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers, WFP is ACORN’s political party and ACCE and MORE are rebranded ACORN state organizations.

The training session is also endorsed by small-c communist Heather Booth’s Midwest Academy and by Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement. Iowa CCI is the Marxist group whose members screamed at Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney at the Iowa State Fair last August. (The group is part of a larger Saul Alinsky-inspired organizing network called National People’s Action.)

“Three weeks ago our prosecution team promised those sweet parents [of Trayvon Martin] we would get answers to all of their questions, no matter where our quest for the truth led us,” special prosecutor Angela Corey told reporters in Jacksonville. “And it is that search for justice for Trayvon that has brought us to this night.”

It is far from clear what exactly transpired on that fateful February night in Sanford. At the same time it seems crystal clear that the original version of the story that painted a picture of a fanatical cop-wannabe who, without provocation, brutally gunned down a defenseless young man because he was African-American isn’t quite true.

At trial Zimmerman may be shown to be guilty of something. Lawyers say that for him to be convicted of murder in the second degree under Florida law it would have to be demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant lacked the intent to kill but still acted in such a grossly reckless and negligent manner that the victim died. A jury could also take a pass on “Murder 2″ and convict Zimmerman of a lesser offense. Florida’s “stand your ground” law could come into play and complicate matters. The key issue seems to be whether Zimmerman was in the circumstances justified in using lethal force against Martin.

These matters are best decided in court and not in the streets. Yet U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder may have already joined the leftist lynch mob and reached his own verdict in the controversial case that, thanks to cheerleader journalism, has divided America. Holder, whose visceral contempt for conservatives is well documented, is the top law enforcement official who has single-mindedly focused on turning the Department of Justice into a postmodernist racial grievance incubator, as brilliantly demonstrated by former DOJ lawyer J. Christian Adams in his excellent book Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department.

While the department considers bringing federal civil rights charges against Zimmerman, the agency is “helping the state in its attempt to bring a case as well,” Holder told reporters at a DOJ press conference Wednesday. While Holder’s underlings burn the midnight oil to find a way to prosecute Zimmerman, the DOJ continues to maintain its eerie silence about the New Black Panther Party’s $10,000 “Wanted Dead or Alive” bounty on the accused man’s head. In Holder’s topsy-turvy worldview some Americans are more equal than others. The man has no stomach for offending black militants or any members of the Democratic Party coalition.

But as racial demagoguery related to the Martin killing inflames communities across the nation, it is telling that Holder took time out from his busy schedule yesterday to drop in on racial arsonist Al Sharpton, president of the Alinskyite “National Action Network” and host of MSNBC’s “Politics Nation.”

On the opening day of NAN’s 14th annual convention in the nation’s capital, Holder might as well have genuflected before Sharpton. The attorney general hailed the radical charlatan –who seems ready to execute Zimmerman with his bare hands— for “your partnership, your friendship, and your tireless efforts to speak out for the voiceless, to stand up for the powerless, and to shine a light on the problems we must solve, and the promises we must fulfill.” Holder clearly knows how to lay it on thick.

Apparently unaware of California’s continuing descent into the fiscal abyss, students showed up in force at a college trustees’ meeting to protest a planned 300 percent increase in tuition for core courses. The college says the dramatic price hikes are necessary because state funding for higher education is drying up as California’s spendthrift public officials continue to lavish taxpayer-funded benefits on their allies in the labor movement.

Up to 30 demonstrators, possibly left-wingers, were doused with pepper spray after a student mob was forcibly ejected from the trustees’ meeting. In America such chemical drubbings are almost always provoked by leftist protesters for public relations purposes. They know they can count on journalists to sympathetically portray them as victims of police brutality punished by the powers that be for speaking truth to power.

Members of the crowd were reportedly angry because only a few students were admitted to the meeting. They began to force their way into the event after officials refused to relocate the proceedings to a room that would accommodate more people.

Students began chanting “Let us in, let us in,” and “No cuts, no fees, education should be free.” Two police officers who found themselves virtually surrounded by unhinged mantra-repeating Santa Monicans used pepper spray to prevent students from further disrupting the meeting.

Santa Monica College spokesman Bruce Smith said the use of pepper spray was necessary to maintain public order. “It was the judgment of police that the crowd was getting out of hand and it was a safety issue,” he said.

The preeminent funder of the Left in the United States, Soros favors American decline and has said that European-style socialism “is exactly what we need now.” The radical, anti-American philanthropist praises Red China effusively, saying the totalitarian nation has “a better-functioning government than the United States.”

The conflict within Soros’s group has created two factions.

On one side are Democracy Alliance members who believe in the original mission of the donors’ collaborative. Created after Democrats failed to reclaim power in the 2004 election, the group started out funding left-wing political infrastructure – think tanks, activist groups, leadership schools, and media outlets— to help the Left gain and keep power. The idea was to focus on long-term organizational issues as opposed to helping Democrats get elected every election cycle.

Soros doppelganger Peter B. Lewis, who helped to found the group with Soros, believes the Democracy Alliance has become far too partisan. In a crushing blow to the club-for-billionaire-radicals, the Progressive Insurance magnate who spent $25 million in 2004 in a failed attempt to defeat President George W. Bush, reportedly resigned from the Democracy Alliance in disgust weeks ago.

“Peter’s focus since 2004 has been on scaling up the progressive infrastructure, as opposed to election or political candidates,” a source told the Politico newspaper last month.

Although Lewis donated $200,000 last summer to a super PAC approved by the Democracy Alliance, a source close to him told the Politico that he probably won’t give any more cash to super PACs and is not happy with the Democracy Alliance’s newfound focus on them.

Trial lawyer Guy Saperstein said he quit the Democracy Alliance because he believed the group’s mission had shifted. “All of us were political donors going in, and the DA was sold to us as an effort to build infrastructure that was different from campaign politics. But that promise has been something that they’ve moved away from,” he said. Saperstein said he donated more than $1 million through the Democracy Alliance.

Saperstein, who regards Obama as “a failure from a progressive point of view,” said the group was now “more devoted to short term election tactics than it ever had been.”

Sanford police chief Bill Lee, who handed the investigation over to the state, the Justice Department, the FBI and a special prosecutor, has received death threats.

Although police insist there is insufficient evidence to arrest shooter George Zimmerman who says he shot Martin in self-defense, calls for Zimmerman’s arrest continue to grow.

Demanding “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,” Mikhail Muhammad of the virulently racist New Black Panther Party offered a $10,000 bounty for the “capture” of Zimmerman. Muhammad called for 5,000 black men to hunt him down.

The New Black Panther Party also released a “Wanted Dead or Alive” poster featuring the face of Zimmerman, accompanied by a flier claiming Martin was “murdered in cold blood.”

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said ominously that “Where there is no justice, there will be no peace. Soon, and very soon, the law of retaliation may … be applied.”

Other supporters of Martin unveiled a new tee shirt that reads: “Pussy Ass Cracker,” over a photo of Zimmerman. The “pussy ass cracker” line appears to refer to lyrics from the rapper Plies’s song “100 Years,” which laments tough sentences pronounced by racist judges.

Movie director Spike Lee did his best to direct vigilantes to Zimmerman’s home by posting his home address on Twitter. (It turns out Lee posted the wrong address, possibly endangering people with no connection to Zimmerman.)

In Miami high school students have staged walkouts to protest the handling of the Martin case by Sanford, Florida police. About 60 of those students ransacked a local Walgreens store, reportedly stealing $1,100 worth of merchandise and damaging some goods in the store.

Whether Zimmerman is actually guilty of anything is not a concern of left-wing demagogues and race hustlers like Jesse Jackson Sr. and Al Sharpton. They don’t care what actually happened in Sanford last month. They only wish to push their narrative. They don’t want to heal wounds and reduce anxieties. They aspire to agitate and incite.

“Blacks are under attack,” Jackson said after the Martin shooting. “Our disparities are great,” he said. “Targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business.”

Sharpton delivered a petition to authorities in Sanford that he claimed bore 2 million signatures demanding the arrest of Zimmerman. “You are risking going down as the Birmingham and Selma of the 21st century,” Sharpton said.

Radio hothead Ed Schultz blamed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for Martin’s death because Bush signed a “stand your ground” law enacted to allow someone to shoot an attacker when threatened. “Jeb Bush helped pave the way for this senseless tragedy and remains silent,” Schultz said. “What a political tragedy.”

Not to be outdone, the appropriately named Michael Nutter, mayor of Philadelphia, said the shooting of Martin is “nothing short of an assassination.”

The anti-American activists of the Occupy Wall Street movement announced they plan to violently disrupt the G8/NATO summit in Chicago on May 19.

Adbusters, the Noam Chomsky-friendly magazine that spearheaded the Occupy movement, claims the movement will conduct a massive occupation of Chicago “in the tradition of the Chicago 8.”

Of course the radicals of the Chicago 8 organized riots at the Democratic Party’s national convention in that city in 1968. Hundreds of police officers were injured.

Adbusters vows that this time the rioters won’t give an inch to the police. A massive occupation of Chicago involving “50,000 people from all over the world” will begin on May 1:

And this time around we’re not going to put up with the kind of police repression that happened during the Democratic National Convention protests in Chicago, 1968 … nor will we abide by any phony restrictions the City of Chicago may want to impose on our first amendment rights. We’ll go there with our heads held high and assemble for a month-long people’s summit … we’ll march and chant and sing and shout and exercise our right to tell our elected representatives what we want … the constitution will be our guide. When the nations of the G8 and NATO begin meeting May 19, the movement plans to press its demands. Occupiers want an economy-killing “Robin Hood Tax” to be imposed on financial transactions, an international agreement to curb carbon emissions, and “a nuclear-free Middle East” (translation: the unilateral nuclear disarmament of Israel), according to Adbusters.

And woe to the powers that be if they don’t give in to the radicals’ demands.

And if they don’t listen … if they ignore us and put our demands on the back burner like they’ve done so many times before … then, with Gandhian ferocity, we’ll flashmob the streets, shut down stock exchanges, campuses, corporate headquarters and cities across the globe … we’ll make the price of doing business as usual too much to bear. The Occupy Wall Street movement grew out of an event last Sept. 17 in lower Manhattan called the US Day of Rage that was organized by Adbusters. Organizers vowed that the mass protest would be nonviolent in nature. This raised the question of why they named their event after the original “Days of Rage” that took place in Chicago in 1969. That tumultuous year, members of what was later to become known as the Weather Underground provoked four days of riots and demonstrations against The System.

George Soros is delighted that chaos is coming to his adopted homeland.

“In the crisis period, the impossible becomes possible,” the anti-American financier told Newsweek in a recent interview, restating the Alinskyite adage that a good crisis is a terrible thing to waste.

“I am not here to cheer you up. The situation is about as serious and difficult as I’ve experienced in my career,” Soros says. “We are facing an extremely difficult time, comparable in many ways to the 1930s, the Great Depression. We are facing now a general retrenchment in the developed world, which threatens to put us in a decade of more stagnation, or worse. The best-case scenario is a deflationary environment. The worst-case scenario is a collapse of the financial system.”

Like some of the more dimwitted commentators on economics, Soros loves to spew the usual socialist drivel about so-called market fundamentalism running amok as if he were living during the Cleveland administration. “The collapse of the Soviet system was a pretty extraordinary event, and we are currently experiencing something similar in the developed world, without fully realizing what’s happening.”

To people like Soros, the mortgage bubble was caused by the Snidely Whiplashes of the financial world, not by venal real-life politicians like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and the monstrous financial blunderers known as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Free markets are to blame even though they have never been tried.

As the U.S. economy continues to deteriorate, anger will grow and rioting in the streets is sure to follow. “It’s already started,” he says. “Yes, yes, yes,” Soros adds “almost gleefully,” Newsweek writer John Arlidge editorializes.

For years Soros has longed for an opportunity to transform America into a socialist state. “The system we have now has actually broken down, only we haven’t quite recognized it and so you need to create a new one and this is the time to do it,” he said in 2009 as he created the Institute for New Economic Thinking with a $50 million endowment.

This Communist sympathizer co-founded the ultra-secretive Democracy Alliance, a billionaires’ club that funds leftist political infrastructure. He has said that European-style socialism “is exactly what we need now” and favors American decline. Soros praises Red China effusively, saying the totalitarian nation has “a better-functioning government than the United States.”

In American politics, only the Left mobilizes the mob against its opponents. That’s why history textbooks don’t contain references to marauding bands of Reagan supporters roughing up Mondale backers.

But leftist groups and groups aligned with the Democratic Party have long viewed Republicans as fair game.

The Obama-backed “Occupy” movement has been working nonstop in New Hampshire bullying, intimidating, harassing, and provoking the Republican Party’s presidential candidates. It is the kind of unseemly, Latin American-style political activism that threatens to become a permanent feature of American politics if President Obama wins a second term.

It’s also the classic Saul Alinsky “inside/outside” strategy. Ensconced in the White House Obama appears to remain above the fray while his loyal minions on the outside of officialdom do their best to irritate and embarrass his Republican adversaries.

All of the Republican candidates in New Hampshire have been targeted by the Obama-approved goon squads who work with hippies and labor activists. They have portrayed their number one target, Mitt Romney, as a job-killing capitalist, Newt Gingrich as a monster, and Rick Santorum as a “bigot.”

The activists attend the candidates’ campaign events, shouting and carrying on in an attempt to prevent Republicans from speaking. They’re not interested in honest discussion or debate: their only goal is to silence the opposition. The Occupiers’ tactics are the kind one might expect to see from the Italian squadristi or the German Sturmabteilung, both of which used physical coercion and intimidation to halt the democratic process.

Much of the thuggery is coordinated by Occupy New Hampshire, whose website is an agglomeration of Marxist pabulum. The group announced that it planned to attack Republican candidates in order to focus public attention on the “growing economic inequality and the disproportionate economic and political power of corporate America and the wealthiest 1%.”

Convicted terrorist collaborator Lori Berenson is fortunate that in the United States citizenship is not a license that expires upon bad behavior.

Berenson is back in America for the holidays, nearly two decades after the trust fund baby left to advance communism in Latin America.

A Peruvian court convicted her in 1996 of aiding a Marxist-Leninist guerrilla group that even now aspires to overthrow Peru’s government by force, but the 42-year-old New Yorker is free on parole. She was granted permission to visit the U.S. and has promised to return to Peru next month and remain there until her sentence is completed.

Berenson was paroled in 2010 after serving 15 years of a 20 year prison term for collaborating with the Movimiento Revolucionario Tupac Amaru (Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement) or MRTA. Along with Shining Path, a brutal Maoist guerrilla group, MRTA has long waged war against Peru’s democratically elected government.

Her long and winding quest for so-called social justice began in the late 1980s at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the academic home of America-hating anarchist Noam Chomsky. An anthropology student, Berenson said her time at MIT radicalized her. It was “the place where I finally learned the connection between politics and human suffering.”

During an academic exchange program in El Salvador, Berenson met with the late Congressman Joe Moakley (D-Mass.) and future Congressman Jim McGovern (D-Mass.). They discussed human rights and conditions in El Salvador, which made Berenson reflect “that the world was much bigger and the suffering was much worse than I had thought.”

In 1989, she dropped out of MIT and started working for the Communist-influenced Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (CISPES) in New York City and Washington, D.C. Two years later she moved to Central America and began working for the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN), then a Marxist guerrilla group in El Salvador.

Berenson found her way to Peru. Back in 1993, soon after she rented a house in a Lima suburb, it became an outpost for the group. MRTA’s second in command, Miguel Rincon, used one floor of the house as a command post, arsenal, and shooting range. Authorities say Berenson made several visits to the Peruvian Congress, casing it in preparation for a planned attack and identifying lawmakers for future kidnappings.

When Berenson’s home was raided in late 1995, an all-night siege followed. Fourteen guerrillas and a police officer lost their lives.

Sometimes union thugs wear pinstriped business suits.

Investment banker Ron Bloom is one of those thugs.

He decided in the 1970s to devote his life to helping labor unions stick it to America’s corporations. As an organizer, negotiator, and researcher for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Booth observed that many union negotiators didn’t have the skills they needed to bargain effectively with management.

“Unions were being backed into corners by companies and couldn’t understand on a sophisticated level, the company’s arguments … Labor needed to be armed with the equivalent skills.”

A longtime leftist, Bloom acquired the skills he needed to run circles around management. He went to Harvard Business School and built up his resume.

Bloom, who was President Obama’s car czar and then manufacturing czar, excels at wheeling and dealing. Last year Time magazine fawned over Bloom, naming him as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World.” Bloom’s “role in brokering the rescue of General Motors and Chrysler while preserving more than 100,000 jobs demanded a synergist who could work both sides of the equation with authority and respect.”

Although it is true that Bloom was one of the principal architects of the auto industry bailout, Time failed to mention that he made certain that the deal enriched the United Auto Workers at the expense of bondholders. Bondholders accept low rates of return on their investment in the expectation that if the company goes belly-up they will be among the first creditors paid back, but Bloom and his colleagues in the Obama administration upended that ancient rule of repayment priority in the name of so-called “social justice.” They made sure that President Obama’s allies in the labor movement got far more than their fair share.

In his career as an investment banker, Bloom has used his considerable skills as a negotiator to engineer deals that benefit trade unions.

For example, when Brazilian steel company Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) tried to merge with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Corp. in 2006, steelworkers feared the deal would decimate their ranks. Bloom, who joined the United Steel Workers (USW) union as a special assistant to the president in the 1990s, put together a hostile takeover bid by Chicago-based steel distributor Esmark to fend off CSN.
