The Obama Doctrine, “responsibility to protect,” which means a license to invade another country not in self-defense but to enforce some vague “humanitarian” standard is a blank check for imperial intervention anywhere and everywhere.
The Wall of Lies ad is condemned but none of its facts are rebutted.
Andrew Sullivan takes exception to my observations that we are on a fool’s errand in Libya and a dangerous one. The other day I took issue with neo-conservatives who had learned nothing from failed attempts to create Western-style democracies in Muslim cultures. I had pointed to recent experiences in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Gaza (let alone Turkey) and warned that our military invasion of Libya could lead to the creation of an al-Qaeda aligned totalitarian state.
President Obama gets some Daily Show scrutiny.

This testimony, if it can be called that, was to accuse the committee of targeting the innocent and feeding ignorant prejudice against Muslims. Ellison and his political allies ask: Why is the Muslim community a focus of the Committee’s concern (and not, say, Presbyterians?)
Stanley Kurtz has an important blog post on Obama’s socialist agendas which are cynically masked enough to fool Michael Medved.
A high school senior reports: “I’m entitled to my opinion and certainly did not deserve the accusations of being a Nazi, even when I’m Jewish.”
Al Sharpton is continuing his lifelong campaign to discredit the civil rights movement. On Fox & Friends this morning Sharpton attacked the planned congressional hearings into Muslim extremism and the lack of cooperation by Muslim organizations in combatting the terrorist threat.
The NY Times Sunday magazine has a cover story this week designed to create sympathy for an American terrorist named Lori Berenson. If you gave me an hour I could find ten similar Times stories about Americans who are at war with their country or in bed with terrorists.
