We knew this was coming. No American victory in this day and age, not even the long-overdue death of terror mastermind Osama bin Laden, is safe from political hijacking by the useful idiots of the Left. Within hours of hearing the good news, left-wing Daily Beast flunky Peter Beinart took to the keyboard to declare that the War on Terror is finally over.
There are times when those on the Left arise to defend Israel and end up proving, ironically, that American liberalism’s break with the Jewish state is real and dramatic.
Jeffrey Goldberg’s recent article defending Israel’s “special relationship” with the U.S. is one such example.
The juxtaposition of the elimination of bin Laden with the so-called reconciliation of Fatah and Hamas is striking.
Al-Qaeda has remained a pariah and no nation has offered to defend it publicly.
But the same cannot be said for Hamas.
Barbaric Act of War
It’s the Arab Spring and love is in the air. After a torrid on-and-off affair, rival terrorist political factions Hamas and Fatah are on again. According to mutual best-friend Egypt, things are red-hot.
The entire impetus for the Fatah-Hamas “unity” agreement is the September attempt to get “Palestine” to be internationally recognized at the UN.
