The choice was never between democracy and authoritarianism, but between a secular authoritarianism flavored with Islam or a purely Islamist authoritarianism.

When last we met Grand Mufti, Sheikh Sadeq Al-Ghariani, he was calling for a ban on a whole bunch of things involving women.

The Muslim Brotherhood was reportedly responsible for the destruction of a good deal of Cairo’s nightlife with a series of fires back in the day. Now it’s using the power of the law, not the gasoline can.

It’s not just that monsters like Fayhan al-Ghamdi exist in Saudi Arabia. They exist everywhere. But in the heartland of Islam, where Mohammed first began his crimes against women and little girls, they operate with the sanction of the state.

Sharia law, as we’re told, is a non-issue made up by Islamophobes that will never come to the West. Certainly not the punitive kind. That would be ridiculous. Except of course that it’s already here.

This is the Target cashier/Muslim taxi driver problem all over again where Muslims don’t just practice their religion, but impose its mandates on others by refusing to do their job and perform services for non-Muslims whom they consider to be violating Islamic law.

The interior ministry said the woman and her boyfriend were apprehended by three policemen in an immoral position. Two policemen then raped her, while the third held the handcuffed fiance. If found guilty of indecency, she could be jailed for six months.
