How will MSNBC’s “Countdown” show host redeem himself?
Even today, Media Matters is still pushing their tired meme about the “Glenn Beck boycott.” As I’ve explained, this boycott literally cannot work, because cable TV has a different business model than broadcast television.
Speaking of which…
It’s sad to see the George Soros Steno Pool desperately pushing their “boycott” non-story in light of reports like this:
Exhibit [...]
A few years ago, in my occasional role as professional “book doctor,” I tried and failed to get my liberal New York author-client to ease off the whole “Jon Stewart is the Walter Cronkite of America’s youth” thing.
It’s so played out, I told him. Stewart’s numbers are one tenth those of Rush Limbaugh’s, making the [...]
In a previous post I discussed the confrontation between Fox News President Roger Ailes and Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington on last Sunday’s This Week on ABC. Let me repeat the relevant portion of the transcript from the video embedded in that post.
HUFFINGTON: Well, Roger, it’s not a question of picking a fight. And aren’t [...]
While the whole truth about the latest story surrounding James O’Keefe is not entirely clear, one thing is certain: he made a mistake. No, we’re not talking about whatever mistakes he may have made at Senator Landrieu’s (D-LA) office. We’re talking about the mistake of exposing the establishment media not only for being intellectually bankrupt, [...]

Last week, we covered Keith Olbermann’s perhaps ultimate meltdown over first the possibility, then the actual election of Republican Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate in Massachusetts.
To summarize, Keith began with this little gem on election eve:
OLBERMANN: In Scott Brown, we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against women [...]

“The OReilly Factor” devoted a segment to the political influence of late-night comedy, focusing on Jon Stewart.
Stewart is an appendage of the Obama White House. A self-confessed liberal, he has no influence beyond his politically like-minded fan club. The 1.6 million “Daily Show” viewership is lower than “Adult Swim” on Cartoon Network.
David Letterman’s adolescent humor is [...]

The Final Countdown? Meltdown with Keith Olbermann Part 31
Remembering this self-deluding rant last year when Bill O’Reilly dared to mock Keith Olbermann’s ratings?
OLBERMANN: I hate to intrude with the facts, but ours is the highest rated cable news program [among] viewers 35 and younger, and the highest rated cable news program for all viewers not on Fixed [i.e., Fox] News. And since [...]
