
What might explain the laughable selections of Barack Obama and the European Union.

Kofi Annan and the UN won one in 2001. Jimmy Carter won one in 2002. El Baradei won one in 2005. Al Gore won one in 2007. Obama won one shortly after taking office. Now it’s been awarded to the European Union. And it’s a good thing too because the EU is running low on funds and could use the prize money.
When I first set eyes on Barack Obama I knew that the Republicans didn’t have a chance at winning the Presidency. Obama, a young, handsome, bi-racial idealist whispering the poetry of hope and change was unstoppable when placed next to the old, white, sameness of John McCain.
