Everyone except Democrats and by that I don’t mean Democrat voters, but officials and establishment types, support Voter ID. Wisconsin, which already has a law on the books (but when has that ever stopped rogue judges), now also has an amendment after 60% of voters supported it in the same election where Democrats successfully held on to a Supreme Court seat. So this wasn’t a Republican-trending election.
Yet Voter ID won. Decisively.
Why even oppose Voter ID? Wisconsin Dem Chairman claimed that Republicans only wanted it “in order to suppress the votes of people that they didn’t want to cast ballots.”
That’s the same old argument that Voter ID is a form of voter suppression because Dem voters somehow can’t figure out how to get a photo ID. So how do they fly, drive or enter government buildings?
It’s a dumb argument that insults the intelligence of the voters which is why it loses every single time.
There’s only one possible reason for opposing voter ID and that’s because the goal is to have people vote illegally or engage in other kinds of fraud. The fact that there’s only one party that opposes voter ID also tells you what that party’s election strategies are.

They want to suppress the graveyard vote, the multiple vote, the illegal alien vote, and the completely fictitious vote.
Those are all major Democrat constituencies without which they would very likely not win many elections at all.
How can they support Voter ID by such a margin and then elect a leftist DEMOcrat to their SC? How does THAT make sense??
Yes. Suspicious at the very least. My wife, who has some connections to Wisconsin, tells me that some voters were confused even as to what office the election was all about. Apparently enough Democrat money could confuse voters on the office and candidates, but nigh impossible to confuse them on Voter ID.

Voter ID will not prevent voter fraud as long as they allow mail in ballots. In the Wisconsin vote an est. 165,000 mail in ballots were sent out to illegal addresses when NGOs pick up the ballots and voted democrat. Addresses like the homeless shelter, Walmart, 7-11, vacant lots etc…. Make mail in ballots illegal and watch 90% of voter fraud vanish.
Half a truth is worse than no truth.

That would be like saying, “in order to suppress lawbreakers they didn’t want walking the streets.”
