The usual suspects are trying to make pandemic theater happen again. It’s a little too early for pre-election prep and fall season is coming, but the return of mask mandates has been slowly creeping back.
I doubt it’ll go far.
Aside from the courts dismantling mask mandates and other key areas of the pandemic security regime, most people have moved on. Long before there was an official end to mask mandates, Irish democracy had taken hold and people just weren’t masking up.
Other people have gone on wearing masks long after the mandates had lapsed.
What that means is that masks or no masks is a decision that has passed beyond the threshold of government and it became what it should have been all along… a personal choice.
I see people driving around alone in their cars with masks. And I see medical offices with a dozen signs about masking in which no one wears them and no one pays attention.
The COVID era showed that our freedoms could be taken away in a moment and that many people would comply. And as grim as that was, it was also a reaction to the unexpected and unprecedented. Since then the camps have solidified and people have decided to do what they’re going to do.
No amount of persuading is likely to stop the people who feel the need to wear masks in their cars. And the people who stopped wearing masks are not going to start again.
Much as COVID became endemic, masks became cultural.
This is where your state of residency matters. If you live in a RED state like me, you vaguely know what a mask is and where their use is mandatory. This is important information to have, so you can avoid those places like the plagues they are. Still unsure why doctors were surprised at all the elective procedures being cancelled during that time. My wife’s dentist lost so much money then that he began advertising a no-mask waiting room, proving that boycotts do indeed work.
Right you are except in highly Leftist areas. Leftists just love to feel vulnerable and afraid.
Believe it or not I was behind a lady at a red light yesterday, she was in a convertible, with a mask on he face. The whole mask thing was a sham from the start but to still be wearing one; outside, alone in a convertible is beyond stupid
About ten years ago I was watching a Japanese science show in which they go very in depth on a topic-usually health related. This show was about the flu. They had the Japanese Minister of Health on as a guest, who explained that masks do nothing to stop the flu and are even unhelpful in that they give people a false sense of security. He said they’ve known for decades that there is no benefit, but don’t discourage the use of masks because it has become socially acceptable. In Japan, by the way, only people who were sick wore a mask to protect others-no healthy person wore a mask to protect themselves.
Personally I have had it with the masks which is clearly medical and political malfeace stop these unscientific and demonic usurpations ie the VA health care or lack thereof and medical cartels malicious and killing not only OUR God given freedoms but also lives
Around here it’s become a cultural thing to avoid wearing masks, for most people anyway.
Christians wear crosses to identify with their group and to ward off evil (the devil). Leftists wear masks for the same reasons – to identify with their group and ward off evil (germs).

What about the huge rallies as the election approaches? – Trump is in jail. He wont be able to attend. SEND VIVEK in his place. This would astound. Vivek would be the appointed as the stand in for Donald Trump. He will deliver Trump’s message in a fresh, youthful way. Trump now is experienced in the ways of Washington – so he takes the novice under his wing! Vivek is as special as Trump once was. But now we well know Trump’s voice. Vivek can present Trump’s message in a fresh way. And he has the spark. He will be LOVED as he loves Trump. Vivek is groomed in this way for the future.
Sneak Trump’s letters and videos out of the jail – Vivek plays them at the rallies. Fantastic TV. MSM will not be able to ignore. 100% Gandi-style, militantly peaceful! Revolutionary! In the battle for civil rights these are the tried and true paths that have been successful.
