If you’re keeping track, Biden announced that America was going to spend two months building a floating pier to deliver aid to Gaza at a cost of $300 million that would be operated by the U.S. military.
Then the pier came under attack by terrorists, was withdrawn to the Israeli port of Ashdod for repairs while the Biden administration conducted backchannel talks with Hamas urging it not to attack the pier, then redeployed for aid deliveries and it’s been a smashing success.
For Hamas.
The good news was that the Pentagon press secretary announced that 569 metric tons of humanitarian assistance has been delivered across the temporary pier in Gaza.
The bad news was that according to the same press secretary, none of the aid has gotten through to any recognized aid distribution points.
Did the aid get to the people of Gaza? “I do not believe so,” he answered.
So they’re now looking for “alternate routes”.

Meanwhile, politicians and the media keep lying about Israel causing a “humanitarian crisis” when indeed the only aid to Gaza is coming through Israel because Egypt blocked its crossing into Rafah once all the tunnels going from Egypt to Rafah were exposed once the Israelis went in (which they weren’t supposed to because that would expose all the tunnels.)
Egypt isn’t getting blamed for ‘starving’ Gazans, Israel is. In reality, there’s plenty of food in Gaza because we keep sending food. Hamas and other armed groups then steal the food and resell it. It’s no surprise to any of the so-called aid groups because this is exactly what Islamic terrorists have been doing to them in Yemen, Afghanistan and all around the world. They know it works this way and they’re lying about it every day.
So is the Biden administration. After building its very own shiny delivery system into Gaza, it can’t actually deliver the aid because it’s being stolen. And somehow that too will be Israel’s fault.
Meanwhile, Hamas has pocketed millions more in profits from the aid that it’s being sent to resell to Gazans. At this rate, the longer the war runs, the more money it makes.
This happens every time Western nations make massive donations of money/food to poor nations. It’s time the West insisted on going into these places to make sure the aid goes to those it is intended for. If they are not allowed to do so, the aid should stop. So much of our compassionate aid ends up helping our enemies.
O and how come the super-wealthy nations like Arabia, Qatar etc do little if anything to help their Muslim brothers? Why are Western nations thus feeding the lions that want to destroy them? Talk about supplying the rope to hang themselves!
Same thing happened to Haiti, with the Clinton-Bush aid. It never got to its destination either.
It stayed in the Clintons’ bank accounts.
Talk about suicidal altruism and suicidal sacrifice. Let’s sacrifice for our Hamas brothers and sisters, after all, we are supposed to be our brother’s keeper. Judge not that ye shall not be judged.
Support for Hamas isn’t altruism, Quite the opposite. It’s Jew hatred.

This reminds me of the Biden border jumpers who complain that they don’t get enough welfare benefits and their free lodging isn’t nice enough.

The left has never had good judgment. They only care about power and whatever means it takes to achieve it. The planet is not in good shape because of it. It doesn’t work when people support entities that are evil and out for themselves.

Biden providing aid to the enemy when Israel is trying to kill them is patently absurd. For those with short memories Forty-Five Americans citizens were raped, tortured, mutilated etc… then murdered on October 7th. Where is the outrage ? Try finding their names anywhere, good luck. American citizens are still being held hostage, 142 days now. It is a disgrace that biden could careless about their horrific inhuman treatment. Very difficult to find names and you know why.

This is such a disgrace that there is no way back from it. This outdoes Benghazi and Afghanistan by miles. It is ongoing traitorous support for Hamas, the inhumane Jew-hating genocidal butchers, by the US government, by Ireland, Spain, Norway, and now now Germany, of all places, who just stated that “of course they’d help arrest the leader of the Jewish nation” Of course, indeed, Germany!).
This can never be fixed. .

I love the logistics of bringing in supplies by sea, and extricating forces by sea. That is why I saw this fiasco as a comedy from the start. The British Navy was genius in that department, in the days of Empire. Read about many such cases. Currently reading about how they helped Wellington foil Napoleon in Spain.
Dewey Lambdin’s series about a Royal Navy captain during Napoleonic wars is my favorite well-researched historical fiction about the ‘Golden Age of Sail’, equal to Patrick O’Brien’s, IMO.
Thanks, just ordered the first three. Read both the O’Brian and Forester series, but love age of sail novels and tech, and am always looking for more. There are some excellent old training and exam materials from the 18th and 19th centuries, to be found online. Their rigging and fabrication abilities were amazing. And I think of the sailors, when I hear a modern American, especially myself, say we have it rough.
Yes, those old wooden ship sailors had high privation and mortality rates.
One of the things that surprised me, was how much the sailors loved the ship surgeon, and refused to sail without him. That was because I was comparing modern surgery technique to the primitive surgery technique of the time. But the sailors of that time had no idea of modern surgery technique. It is so hard for me to get into the mindset of an earlier historical period 🙂

The pier was built and operated to resupply Hamas, so there was no failure here. Apparently, Biden’s $ billions for Iran and others were not direct enough to frustrate Israel in Gaza.

I see pictures online of a complex deterrent system now attached to the pier. which makes little sense if goods are stolen once unloaded from the pier.
I wish the US would just F off if they won’t support Israel. That 1/2 a billion could have built a US border wall, or helped feed people in US who are struggling – or in Israel could gave provided housing and aid to Israelis who were displaced for months now due to Hamas and Hezbollah attacks.
Congress wouldn’t let him support Hamas outright so he provided them relief through the back door.
