The bipartisan hounding that got Jill Biden’s inept choice for Secret Service director kicked to the curb (new regime and all) didn’t solve anything. It’s rarely just one man or woman and even more rarely the one at the top. The top guy, whether it was Cheatle, Mayorkas, Biden or Garland, is usually just the buffoon and fall guy out front while the radical pros with actual ideas implement their agenda.
So no, nothing is going to change.
The Secret Service has recommended that the Trump campaign no longer schedule outdoor rallies in the wake of the assassination attempt against the former president.
Since the July 13 shooting in Butler, Pa., Secret Service officials have communicated the agency’s concerns about large outdoor events featuring Trump to his campaign advisers, encouraging them to no longer hold the 78-year-old Republican nominee for president’s rallies out in the open, according to the Washington Post.
The Trump campaign appears to have heeded the agency’s concerns and is scouting indoor venues for future gatherings and not currently planning any large outdoor events, the outlet reported.
That significantly reduces the possible number of venues, raises costs, and will likely reduce the number of events. This is a heckler’s veto that benefits one side in this election and it’s not the side that got shot.
Sure, the Secret Service could do its job, but like most of the federal government these days, the job, as defined by the top echelons, is to ‘fortify democracy’ by sabotaging Republicans and electing Democrats.
The idea here is to either cripple Trump’s rallies, the strongest part of his campaign, or if the campaign keeps doing them and there’s another assassination attempt, to blame it on Trump for not listening.
The cost issue is important. A large percentage of the campaign budget has to be spent on security.
But there’s plenty of money for illegal invaders?!

Unfortunately, we can’t retreat our way to victory. We can’t cower in the face of tyranny and project the strength required to turn America around.
I watched a video a couple of days ago of small Ugandan children reenacting the assassination attempt, complete with secret service children armed with stick guns, Kool-aid ‘blood’ on his T-shirt and the now famous fist pump. The WORLD recognizes strength when it sees it.
I agree with Steve Bannon in that there are no coincidences when dealing with leftists and the Deep State. It wasn’t one or two things that went wrong in Butler, but more like twenty to thirty. Has the Trump campaign considered that a secondary objective might have been to muzzle him with fewer outdoor events?
I love President Trump and only wish the best for him, but if we learned anything from Butler, it’s that he has ‘security’ he was unaware of that has his back. That doesn’t mean to tempt fate, but to push on boldly and intelligently.
I’m blessed to live rurally in a perpetual RED state with Trump loving veterans all around me…but I was STILL packing a sidearm when I put up my yard sign.

Events have demonstrated that DJT has more to fear from malfeasance by the Keystone Kops (a/k/a “Secret Service”) than from the other would-be assassins. How about this: Keep the rallies but dump the DEI Secret Service? That wouldn’t just level the playing field between political thugs and private security, it would be to Trump’s advantage.
I remember outside rallies light bringer had, but now impossible/dangerous for trump!
In case we had some positive opinion of the Secret Service, now this. Most federal departments would welcome any excuse to hire more people and expand budgets.
Now, if Trump survives the Secret Service’s future service and gets inaugurated again, will they push to hold that event in a trailer?
Basic dignitary protection protocols highlight the need to reduce the number and duration of open exposure events. An outdoor Trump rally is exactly the kind of event any assassin would use for opportunity and cover.
Former presidents and presidential candidates are not entitled to the same level of protection as an incumbent president of VP. Since Trump has his own security people, why aren’t they sufficient to assist the SS in his protection?
So now they are ordering the President around. They are all trying to diminish the President’s popularity by scare tactics again.
