Following the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony’s orgy of Christian-bashing and gender-bending, further controversy went viral after a twenty-five-year-old Algerian who appeared to be male battered an Italian female into literal submission in women’s 66-kilogram division boxing.
Olympic hopeful Angela Carini surrendered after a scant 46 seconds in the ring with a physically more imposing Imane Khelif. In that time she had been hit with a couple of punches, the devasting force of which she later said she had never encountered. The referee announced Khelif as the winner, and moments later Carini fell to her knees in tears, broken by the essential unfairness of having her Olympic dream crushed by the juggernaut of gender ideology.
Speaking after the match, Carini told reporters, “I am heartbroken… I went to the ring to honor my father. I was told a lot of times that I was a warrior but I preferred to stop for my health. I have never felt a punch like this.” Khelif, meanwhile, has since defeated another female contestant, Hungary’s Anna Luca Hamori, and advanced to clinch an Olympic medal.
The images of a devastated Carini sparked worldwide outrage and disgust, including from figures as prominent as Elon Musk and Harry Potter author JK Rowling. Misinformation and accusations flew fast and furious as some claimed Imane Khelif had always been female and competed as a woman, while others noted that Khelif had been disqualified from the International Boxing Association (IBA) 2023 World Boxing Championships for failing gender-eligibility tests. Even as of this writing, the debate still rages online, with some calling Khelif “intersex” and some asserting the boxer has DSD (Differences in Sexual Development), referring to a range of rare conditions in which a person’s genitalia do not necessarily match his or her chromosomes or hormone levels.
But as IBA President Umar Kremlev explained about the gender-eligibility testing Khelif and another boxer, Taiwan’s Lin Yu-Ting, previously failed, “Based on DNA tests, we identified a number of athletes who tried to trick their colleagues into posing as women. According to the results of the tests, it was proved that they have XY chromosomes. Such athletes were excluded from competition.”
The International Olympic Committee, however, uses different eligibility criteria and allowed the pair to compete (Lin Yu-Ting won on Friday and again on Sunday). In a press conference, IOC President Thomas Bach defended their participation: “We have two boxers… who were born as women, raised as women, who have passports as women, who have competed for many years as women. And this is a clear definition of a woman.”
Angry about what he called the “hate speech” in this “politically motivated cultural war” over the fighters, Bach added, “What we see now is that some want to own the definition of who is a woman… And there I can only invite them to come up with a scientific-based new definition of who is a woman.”
We don’t need a new definition of woman. “Adult human female” has been a sufficient, scientific definition of “woman” for all of human history, or at least as long as the word has existed. The issue is that left-wing gender ideologues want to erase the definition of “woman” altogether.
István Kovács, the European Vice President of the World Boxing Organization and former Secretary General of the IBA, told Hungarian press he had warned the IOC about males participating in women’s boxing as early as 2022, but that nothing was done.
“The problem was not with the level of Khelif’s testosterone, because that can be adjusted nowadays, but with the result of the gender test, which clearly revealed that the Algerian boxer is biologically male,” Kovács said in an interview. He asserted that he personally reported the results to the IOC, “but as unbelievable as it is, they have not responded to this to this day.”
Marshi Smith, co-founder of the Independent Council on Women’s Sports, condemned the IOC after reviewing Kovács’ revelations. “The cover-up and championing of male athletes in women’s Olympic sports is the greatest sports scandal of our lifetime,” she said:
The IOC MUST reinstate sex verification testing TODAY to begin to prove their commitment to the rights of female athletes. They are impostors promoting gender parity while deliberately deceiving the public and athletes about the true sex of competitors in the world’s most elite and dangerous competition.
The real crux of the controversy is that the IOC’s criterion for determining eligibility is not chromosomes or testosterone levels, but passport designation. “Everyone competing in the women’s category is complying with the competition eligibility rules,” said an IOC spokesperson as the controversy over Imane Khelif escalated. “They are women in their passports and it’s stated that this is the case, that they are female.”
Sorry IOC, that’s not good enough. Regardless of what the fighters’ passports say, if the IBA’s gender-eligibility test revealed XY chromosomes, then in every cell of their bodies, they are male and they benefit from greater upper-body strength, bone density, punching power, and natural aggression than those of women. Carini’s decision to put an end to her bout must have been an excruciatingly difficult one, but it was the right one. Otherwise she might have gone on to suffer a lifelong disability, like female volleyball player Payton McNabb, now 19, who was left with brain damage after taking a spiked ball to the face from a trans opponent a couple of years ago. Or the female MMA fighter whose skull was crushed by a trans opponent a few years ago. As it is, Carini reportedly had her nose broken by one of Khelif’s punches.
The overarching issue here is that the Left is seeking to reject thousands of years of biological truth as part of its cultural Marxist assault on every civilizational norm, including perhaps the most basic distinction in the natural order: that between male and female.
Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni, who visited her nation’s athletes in the Olympic Village prior to Carini facing Khelif, had expressed some tepid misgivings that “We have to pay attention, in an attempt to not discriminate, that we’re actually discriminating” against women’s rights.”
Too late. Gender ideology has already steamrolled right over women’s rights on the way to eradicating the very meaning of “woman.” The trajectory of feminism has now reached its logical conclusion, which is not the empowerment of women but the erasure of all distinctions between male and female, resulting in the shameful spectator sport of men beating up women. This was the end game of feminism. So much for sisterhood.
In this brave new woke world the Left has constructed for us, it is the height of bigotry now to state that men cannot compete in women’s competitions, from sports to chess to beauty pageants; one cannot even complain about them stripping down in women’s gym locker rooms. The new woke rules state, against all reason, that if men simply declare they are women, they are women. To counter this fantasy with biological reality, to defend our daughters and wives and mothers against this dangerous madness, marks you as a hateful transphobe. You are the problem.
Now is the time to say, “No more.” The gender activists own this Olympic boxing travesty. The Democrat Party owns it. Everyone who refuses to define the word “woman” owns Angela Carini’s heartbreak and that of every other female whose competitive dream has been and will be stolen by biological males. We must hang this albatross on the neck of every woke ideologue, including presidential hopeful Kamala Harris, who is a true believer in the queering of America. The Left is normally impervious to being shamed, and so we must be relentless. Make them wear this crime against nature like a scarlet letter.

I lost nothing when I opened the door to a single stall restroom marked “Women” and found a 6 ft obese Hispanic male shaving at the sink. Thinking he had misread the signage I suggested he go to the “Men’s” restroom. He merely smirked and whispered in his best Marilyn impression, “I’m transitioning.” I wanted to smack him but I am 85 and 5ft 4 inches. So I stormed off, enraged at the obscenity of these sicko’s.
When I read what professional women athletes are facing I am angry all over again. Their only response has to be withdrawing from any competitive event with men challengers and continuing throwing this in the public face. For women this is not only financial loss but professional standing due them.

Please check your facts before publishing articles like this – Imane Khelif is not transgender and allowing her to box has nothing to do with gender ideology. She probably has androgen insensitivity which means that she does not respond to testosterone. This is why she has XY chromosomes but never developed into a male. I’m as opposed to transgenders in women’s as anyone it I also believe in truth and fairness. The truth is that Imane Khelif is not transgender and is not trying to trick anyone and it is not fair to portray her that way. I don’t have an opinion about whether it is fair for her to box against other women. Given her physiology it could be argued that elevated testosterone levels do not give her an advantage.

I don’t believe Imane Khelif is a transgender. If I understand correctly, his was one of those rare, tragic cases where a baby boy was born with his penis and testicles drawm up inside of his body. He was misdiagnosed as a girl. Then, one day-oops, he found out he was a boy. That was a hideous, confusing trauma, and for that, I have nothing but compsssion. But he has no bussiness in woman’s boxing. He’s a man. He should box with men

There is a fairly accurate and uninvasive way of determining Ms. Khelif’s biological sex: check her neck to see if there’s an Adam’s Apple. I bring this up because I’ve noticed quite a few prominent transgender women in the media have a noticeable Adam’s Apple in their necks. Based off of the pictures of Ms. Khelif I’ve seen, I don’t see a discernable Adam’s Apple from what I can tell, so I do think she’s biologically female. Granted, I’ve also heard about some feminizing surgeries that “shave off” the Adam’s Apple, but it seems unlikely if it is true that gender reassignment surgeries are banned in Algeria. At this point, I would need more information to determine what the truth is.
