In a farce even grimmer than the previous Biden campaign, the DNC will now bring out Biden, whom it ousted, to talk about democracy and the dangerous threat to democracy posed by the other party and candidate.
The threat to democracy rhetoric was always dangerous fascist pablum, but it’s now descended into full-on farce as the party that ousted the man whom 14 million people had voted for in a donor coup, and replaced him with its current candidate, in a process controlled by donors and party insiders, will now bring him out to yell and mumble something about how Republicans are a threat to democracy.
At this point the Democrats aren’t even on speaking terms with democracy and no one knows that better than Joe Biden.
14 million Democrats voted for Biden. The DNC disregarded their votes and tossed them out when enough donors cut off funding.
Biden should stop talking about democracy and talk about ‘donorocracy’ instead.
The donors and party insiders seem to form a kind of oligarchy in the Ancient Roman sense.
They’re not talking about democracy, they’re talking about “our” democracy. That word obviously excludes you and me and simply means Whatever puts us over the top By Any Means Necessary. Geddit, Comrade?

I wonder if they’re aware of their own hypocrisy?
“Donorocracy”! Good one. Unfortunately, it applies equally to the R’s.
