Who hates voter ID? On paper, most Republicans, Independents, and Democrats support voter ID.
But Democrat officials have been fighting tooth and nail against any form of election integrity. Especially voter ID. Why would anyone oppose a simple and basic policy used by every civilized country to prevent random people from just coming in and voting with no accountability?
The answer is as obvious as why the same people would legalize stealing things under $950.
The party at the head of both ventures in California has legalized stealing and banned voter ID. And even though the Democrat majority banned voter ID, Gov. Newsom and his lackey, AG Rob Bonta, who had been dreaming of a job in Kamala’s cabinet, decided to sue Huntington Beach for having Voter ID even before their election disintegrity law takes effect.
A judge struck down that frivolous and completely unnecessary lawsuit. And so voter ID, at least for the moment, lives on in one of the free zones of California.
Who’s against voter ID? Who else but vote fraudsters.

I voted in my State in 2016 and had to show my ID, and Trump won. In 2020 when I went to vote and reached for my ID, I was told it wasn’t necessary, and Biden won. In 2024 I was again asked for my ID, and Trump won. Go figure!
BTW: I voted for Trump all three times.
The only reason to oppose voter ID is that you intend vote fraud because you cannot win without it.
I’d actually love to see what would happen in californication if stringent voting rules were both in place and enforced.
You can pretty much guarantee it would be a lot, lot closer than it is now.
