After Dhaka, Comilla and Chittagong, rabid jihadists have again attacked minorities in Bangladesh, this time in Sylhet, and under the centuries-old, tried and tested pretext of “blasphemy.” The rise of social media has made the job of these religious fanatics even easier, as they have to put little imagination or effort into making up a marketable story. They just allege that someone belonging to a non-Muslim community has made a random Facebook post, and within seconds, they assemble into crowds of hundreds and charge through non-Muslim areas, destroying everything that gets in their way.
On Wednesday, December 4, such a fanatic mob ran riot through Hindu-owned homes and businesses in the Dowarabazar area of Sunamganj in Bangladesh’s Sylhet. The unrest started at sundown, gathered momentum through the night, and continued until past midnight, leading to significant damage to Hindu-owned property. An allegedly offensive Facebook post again triggered the attack on the Hindu minorities. It has been reported that the Muslims had gathered to hold a procession in order to protest a post that a Hindu boy made, and that the Muslims deemed offensive. However, as we have seen throughout history, such protests are never peaceful. All too many Muslims are oblivious to or contemptuous of the concept of finding a solution through dialogue, and are always prepared to take to the streets with their rustic weapons and draw the blood of their non-Muslim, weak, defenseless opponents.
We have no details on what was the content of the post that triggered a swarm of Muslims to rum amok through Hindu areas, except that it was an image of some kind. We don’t even know if there is any veracity in the claim that a Hindu youth had made an offensive post.
We have frequently observed in the past how violent Muslim mobs have acted on mere rumors, looting and causing bloodshed, and investigations after the destruction proved that no Hindu had done anything to trigger such reactions. This time, too, a mere buzz about an alleged offensive post drove gangs of irate Muslims to embark upon their occasionally violent spree. The attackers wrecked and robbed dozens of homes and shops. Several gold stores owned by the Hindus were also burgled. The mob ransacked the local Loknath Temple, and valuables worth over 1,500,000 Bangladeshi taka ($12,500) were stolen. According to reports, at least 30 residential properties and more than 100 shops were destroyed in these attacks. The Muslims also targeted the house of Gaur Das, an eminent leader of the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, and his family temple was torn down, also.
And yet there was no action from the Bangladeshi authorities against the rioters. Not that they are sitting idle. The Officer-in-Charge at the Dowarabazar police station, Zahidul Haque, confirms that a 21-year-old Hindu youth, Akash Das, has been detained for posting an image on social media that offended collective Muslim sentiments. The boy was presented in court and accused of hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims. The court denied him bail and sent him to jail.
Now, what about the hurt sentiments of the Hindus whose homes were torn down and temples vandalized and looted?
As usual, Bangladeshi authorities found no foul play there, and it goes without saying that no action was taken against any of the rioters. Although Khokan Roy, general secretary of the temple in Sunamganj, confirmed that valuables worth 1,500,000 Bangladeshi taka were stolen, and the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council condemned the attack on the minorities, the Yunus government’s police found no evidence of violence and riots. OC Zahidul said police had not received any reports of vandalism or attacks in the area due to the incident. “The village is remote, and most houses are dilapidated, with no concrete buildings.” Deputy Commissioner Md Ilias Mia only hinted at possible premeditation behind the attack, and attempted to downplay its virulence by suggesting that the scale of the damage was likely exaggerated.
Are the Hindus in Bangladesh disarmed? Why do they put up with this crap. There must be some weapons squirreled away.
The same garbage is going on in India.
Hindus take a vow of peace through their religion. Even if they had loaded bazookas given to them for free, they wouldn’t use them. They don’t even eat meat. It was always folly to allow Islam, the world’s most violent and terroristic religion, to exist next door to Hindus, the world’s most peaceful religion. Something has to give and so far, it’s always been the peace loving. Without help or the Hindu version of Israel, I don’t know if the Hindu religion will last another hundred years.

People of every religion or faith is represented and get equal protection.
This is a statement of fact which cannot be denied, hence the respect India enjoys as a multi religious and also a multi ethnic country.
Maybe that’s why the UK is cracking down on offending THEIR muslim masters! Someone with the linguistic ability to translate English into whatever the muslims speak over there should take the song “Try That In A Small Town” and make it a Hindi Hit!! Of course, they’d need the necessary attitude and ammo that OUR Small Town people possess!!
World need more attention in Bangladesh before it became another Afghanistan. If the world doesn’t protect the Hindus and Minorities one day they will come after you. Look at what happened in Germany few days before. Why not all other religion people get together and expelled all the Muslims so the Muslim will also start coming out and condemn what they’re doing to others. War is not the answer for that.
It’s high time that India invade Bangladesh and install order.
It may be that in spite of the downside of colonialism, the British raj gave stability and order to the subcontinent. Britain gave them a common language, built the railroads, and ended the practice of widows throwing themselves on their husbands funeral pyre.
God help all of us to achieve a peaceful planet and end these damnable religious wars. Europe stopped religious wars in the 1600s
And even the Irish called an end to conflict at the end of the 20th century.

It doesn’t to take much for muslims to TAKE offense as they are obviously so shallow in their own beliefs that they attack people who state islam is violent.

Nothing will be done to the muslim mob, because after all, the Hindus deserved it, being the infidels that they are.
And it is unlikely that the Hindus have any weapons. They have very likely long since been disarmed and allowed to live, only as long as they pay the “protection money” that has been assessed against them (the Jizya).
It speaks volumes that no mainstream Western media outlets will report this stuff.
As the Muslim population grows they slowly take over until suddenly you’re the minority and are given the 3 choices. Conversion, a high tax or death. That’s the way Satans death cult rolls.
