Back in the 90s when I was much younger and still watched network news, it was routine for Peter Jennings, Christiane Amanpour or some other hideously biased journalist to air translated quotes with a ‘Palestinian’ in which he or she is saying “Yahood” or “Jew” in Arabic, but it’s translated as “Israeli” in English.
The obvious agenda there was to make it seem like the Arab Muslims hated ‘Israelis’ rather than ‘Jews’, that this was political rather than ethnic and religious hatred.
A generation later, even with the internet making it all too easy to fact check, the media is still doing this.

The BBC, which is in trouble for running undisclosed Hamas content as ‘documentaries’, this one featuring the son of a Hamas leader as an ordinary Gazan kid, without telling the audience, has been caught deliberately mistranslating a description of Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader as engaging in “jihad against the Jews” as “fighting and resisting Israeli forces”.
The Telegraph can reveal that on at least five occasions the words Yahud or Yahudy – Arabic for “Jew” or “Jews” – were changed to “Israel” or “Israeli forces”, or were removed from the subtitles altogether…
Around four minutes in, a Gazan woman among a convoy fleeing from part of the besieged strip is asked by the cameraman: “What’s going on?” She replies: “The Jews invaded our [area].” However, the BBC subtitles quote her as saying: “The Israeli army invaded our area.”
Around a minute later, a woman is interviewed about the Oct 7 Hamas attacks and is quoted as saying that was the “first time we invaded Israel – it was always the other way round”. However, she actually says: “We were invading the Jews for the first time.”
Towards the end of the documentary, a Palestinian woman holds her phone as she shows the camera crew footage of Sinwar being killed. In the subtitles, she is quoted as saying that “his face was covered and his weapon was ready, prepared for battle”, but a translation reveals she says that he was “ready for jihad”.
Later, the participant is quoted as saying: “The video shows that he was fighting and resisting Israeli forces. He wasn’t hiding.” But according to Camera, the woman says: “He was engaging in resistance and jihad against the Jews. Not underground.”
The BBC has been doing this for a long time in the most egregious ways.
“The revolutionary songs, they excite you, they encourage you to rip a Jew’s head off.”
But the English translation of Saleh’s remarks offered by the BBC refers to an “Israeli”, not a “Jew”.
Following backlash, a BBC spokesperson said: “We sought expert advice on the translation before broadcast and we believe the translation of ‘Yehudi’ as ‘Israeli’ in this documentary is both accurate and true to the speakers’ intentions.”
That may give us more insight into the BBC than into the Islamic terrorists it’s coming up for.
There is no reason not to correctly translate Yahood, Yehudi in Hebrew, Judean or Ioudaios in Greek or Jew in English.
The only reason to mistranslate it as Israelis is to make bigotry sound like political opposition.
When Arab Muslims talk about ripping the heads off Jews, it goes to the underlying murderous antisemitism.
If a Muslim terrorist stated that he hated Christians, would the BBC mistranslate it as he hated the British Army?
The media lies because its radical ideology supports horrifying things that it wants to mislead the public about.

When I first saw Christiane Amanpour on PBS or wherever I first saw her I had respect for what I though was her journalist integrity which masked her antisemitism and anti-Israel soul. Before 10-7-2023 her bias was seeping out. After the 10-7-2023 genocide massacre in Israel and resultant fashionable and vogue antisemitism and anti-Israel hatred that has become fashionable and vogue and a good way for young seething testosterone males to get laid as young males are often led by their gonads and not their conscience and today’s young males were raised not to be masculine so their participation in anti-Israel and pro-terrorist rants and rally participation is not like the 1930’s post depression into the 1940’s males communist rally and meeting participation was to get laid, so they claimed in the movie: “The Front”, I have lost all respect for PBS news hour and legacy news and cable news, except for parsing FOX cable news – and cautiously and carefully parse me news sources. And most main stream news globally is antisemitic and anti-Israel!
Amanpour was especially UNGRATEFUL to the U.S. military for going after the Taliban, whose crimes against women she harped on night after night, broadcast after broadcast.
As soon as American men started dying for her (at that time) pet cause she attacked THEM!

…funny how I was raised to distrust the “Southern” accent but ended up trusting it far more than the BBC approved accent.
Amanpour looks and sounds like “a man.” That’s why I don’t trust her. I think I saw her standing at a man’s urinal once.
I knew she was lying just from the sound of her voice 🙂
And, of course, a bunch of moronic celebrities are crying censorship since the BBC pulled the “documentary” from its streaming service:

Yeah, they can spin anything into its opposite. The first time I started to realize that several decades ago it was a revelation to me. Now I see it all the time.
Oh, that reminded me. In the 1400s (and maybe earlier) the language used in the English Navy was very clear and unambiguous, words meant exactly what they said. Language was meant to explain simply and clearly what was going on. Just for a silly example, “boarding” meant the boards of the ship touching the boards of the enemy ship. Later “boarding” came to mean something different, fighters actually entering into the enemy ship. Anyway that is just meant to illustrate how language changes. And now many centuries later, language is used mainly to mislead and persuade rather than to communicate precisely what is going on.
Yeah, lefties wouldn’t fared very well in the old British Navy age of sail. First they’d be subject to precise and concise language, then twenty lashes for objecting to it. 😛

That reminded me, I’ve been thinking about the whole mentality required to be a ship captain.
The UK is now regularly getting a foretaste of what life will be like as a majority Muslim country under sharia law. The BBC are abetting future majority Muslim rule. A governance that most BBC staffers, along with most Brits, will sorely regret.

No Minitrue Media outfit should be allowed to have its trolls in the White House briefing room. I suspect the few who are allowed in under President Trump and Press Secretary Leavitt’s watch are there so she can repudiate Dirtbagocrat propaganda and show the public what anti-American liars they are. After all, they oppose everything the President says and does, so that means they oppose peace and prosperity for America and its common citizens.
