The op-ed was entitled “Can White Men Finally Stop Complaining?” and it appeared the other day in the Wall Street Journal. White men, it charged, have a “victim mentality” – even though they’re back on top. Not only has Donald Trump returned to the Oval Office, but for white dudes, everything’s coming up roses:
The manosphere won. Bro podcasters top the charts. Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg declares his company needs more “masculine energy.” Elon Musk shares a post saying only “high-status males” should run the country. The White House kills diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, and so do multiple companies, from Target to McDonalds.
Yet white men keep complaining: for over half a century they’ve “blamed others for their job losses, educational failures, economic problems and drug addictions….Somebody else is always at fault. The mighty white guy, it turns out, is quite the delicate flower.”
Who wrote this intrepid j’accuse? Her name is Joanne Lipman. I checked out her Wikipedia page. She was raised in suburban New Jersey; her mother was a “programmer analyst,” her father a CEO. At Yale she got she got a summa cum laude in history. She’s worked at Conde Nast, as “chief content officer” for Gannett, and as editor-in-chief of USA Today. She’s on the Council of Foreign Relations. And she married her husband, an “entertainment lawyer,” at the National Arts Club in Manhattan.
Yes, it’s all right out of one of those New York Times wedding announcements. Which is another way of saying that Lipman is a member of the progressive cultural elite from Central Casting.
But back to her article. Whatever else it might have been, it was a perfect specimen of Conde Nast copy – not a sincere effort to argue a serious point, but a slick stretch of prose intended to gratify upscale left-wingers by telling them what they want to hear, even if it turns the truth on its head. How clever to assert that the very people who’ve complained about victim mentalities are the ones who really have a victim mentality! How cunning to contend that it’s the “mighty white guy” who’s really “the delicate flower”!
It’s cute. It’s facile. It’s oh so glib. It’s adorably contrarian. And it’s patently untrue. Indeed, it’s pretty offensive. In 2025 America, men – most of them white – still do the dirty jobs, the deadly jobs, the thankless jobs. Many of them choose not to go to college because the environment is so toxically anti-male. Instead they take hard jobs, real jobs, and work long days until they’re bone-weary – only to turn on the TV in the evening and hear themselves demonized by the likes of Al Sharpton and Rachel Maddow.
Of course, when it comes to dishonesty, Lipman gave Sharpton and Maddow a run for their money. Instead of fairly representing the argument against DEI, she actually harkened back to the 1970s to cite an episode of All in the Family on which Archie Bunker “complained about a female colleague whose pay was equal to his.” Lipman quoted Archie: “What’s the point of a man working hard all his life, trying to get someplace, if all he’s gonna do is wind up equal?!”
Does anyone really believe that this line of fifty-year-old sitcom dialogue sums up your average white American male’s point of view in the year 2025? No. It doesn’t even sum up what your average white American male was thinking in the 1970s: Archie, the working-class bigot from Queens, was a fool, a buffoon, a cartoon character – the fever dream of Malibu mega-producer Norman Lear.
Yes, Lipman included in her op-ed the obligatory “to be sure” sentences, acknowledging that in recent decades, while women have begun “earning more college degrees than men,” the loss of manufacturing jobs has resulted in the denial to “white men without college degrees” of “opportunities for a robust middle-class life.” She admitted that the media have long depicted men as “idiots” and that “white guys aren’t all sexists or racists.” Gee, thanks. Talk about faint praise. Still, she insisted that white guys have it far too good to be complaining.
Of course, the timing was perfect for Lipman’s dose of nonsense. In the November election, every county in the nation shifted to the right. Wokeness seems to be crumbling. What a time to go solidly against the grain, to rally the PC crowd! What could be more wonderfully contrarian than defending DEI at a time when a presidential administration that was a total DEI freak show (a gay Transportation Secretary who took paternity leave; a health official who was a portly man in a bad wig; an imbecilic black lesbian press secretary; a “genderfluid” nuclear-waste administrator who stole suitcases at airports; and a mushmouthed vice president whose only credential was being Indian, Afro-Jamaican, and female) has yielded to a dream team of men, women, gays, blacks, Hindus, etc., all of whom are presentable, and all of who are there on sheer merit?
And this is all that most white men have been asking for – equality, fairness, meritocracy. Period. Reading Lipman’s piece, I recalled the time when comedian Adam Carolla, who began his career doing menial work on construction sites, testified to a congressional committee that he waited seven years after applying for a job as a fireman to be granted an interview. Waiting in line at the fire department he asked the black woman behind him when she’d applied. “Wednesday,” she said.
Carolla’s was not a unique personal story. Many men have them. When I went to grad school in the 1980s, which I was able to afford because of a teaching assistantship that covered my tuition, it was virtually impossible to get fifth-year financial support – if you were a white male. Fortunately, I finished my Ph.D. in four years. But the one black woman in the program didn’t. She ended up getting not only fifth-year support but sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and (if memory serves) even tenth-year support. That’s how desperate the department was to have a black female Ph.D. to point to.
Does Lipman really buy her own snide line about white men’s wimpy fear of “the scary DEI monster,” her premise that DEI is a tool of social justice, a cure-all for sexism and racism – rather than the decidedly unjust enemy of merit, skill, and effort? I sorely doubt it. She’s not the kind of writer who’s mounting the barricades in the name of illuminating reality, speaking truth to power, setting the facts straight. No, I think she’s just one more soldier in an army of smug, complacent pseudo-journalists whose role, as they see it, is to ratify the knee-jerk mindsets of upscale, Democrat-to-the-death readers – in this case, affirming those readers’ disdain for the the overwhelmingly white male riffraff who farm their food, build their homes, connect their electricity, and maintain their roads.
I understand, then, why Lipman is a hot ticket at Conde Nast, where such glib garbage belongs. But why would the Wall Street Journal, one of the few remaining bastions of reasonably sane commentary in the legacy media, choose to run such a piece – especially since its most steadfast readers are, by and large, white males?
Great piece, Bruce, thanks.
Looking at the photo of that babe, I must agree.
Great Piece, Bruce.
I think you need to take a closer look, big guy. Funny, though. 🙂
She looks wonderful to me. ~
Oh, those tiny flea eyes and buttock size cheeks….Can’t get more wonderful.
As the old saying goes, beauty is skin deep, but the internal ugliness of leftist anti-white-male bigots like her goes to the bone.
You’re a sick man. ~ 😛
I don’t want that 🌹 woman to TELL me off. …
I want something a bit different. 😉
That women needs to get a grip. 😆
Consider that, if you are a 30-year-old white guy, for your entire existence government and media spokespeople have been shouting at you that you are responsible for all the evil in the known universe. and should spend the better part of each day apologizing for ever having been born. And that is not really much of an exaggeration. Add to that the hormonal drives that drive people crazy enough as it is being defined as more toxic masculinity, and something else to be ashamed of. It’s a wonder more men don’t commit suicide. I’m in my 70s, and have had my time, but I really so feel sorry for young guys.
Those young guys are not going to take it anymore. God bless them and give them success. While we still live, let’s encourage and strengthen them.
Yes, we need to slap some sense into them.
Only the ones who don’t get it. Boomers have largely lost credibility with them – and I don’t blame them. I think the ones who don’t get it will be shamed by the ones who do.
Reportedly, a large majority of young people are pro President Trump and MAGA. I forget the exact proportion but it was 75%, I think.
This is that deep level of commentary we’ve come to expect from you except you left out the foul language and name-calling. Your comment in quotes below is telling and entertaining:
“So why are the WSJs recommendations and predictions wrong nearly all the time? Why do they only benefit businesses and stocks that rag favors?”
Today’s WSJ has an editorial about DEI ending in Virginia. Tell us again how the WSJ supports DEI. This is going to be good! Anyone who reads the paper recognizes your assertion is silly.
Educate us. What percent of American adults do you think own stocks either directly or through mutual funds and ETFs?
Wow folks, Just wow. Looks like we have our own high falutin’ college type professor on the comment board. And it appears to have a bee in its bonnet about Jeff. B.
Ritchie is so consumed with letting us know what a smarty pants he is he doesn’t realize what a smart a$$ he is. Hanging around at Lib. U. will do that to you. Love the arrogant condescension too. Must be tough being a first rate jerk at a second rate college.
Hey Ritchie, don’cha know you never put your actual email as your handle? Now we can all reach you at that DEI university you work at. Are you a professor, or are you the second assistant to the first assistant of some B.S. college course? Or maybe you work in the office collating student lists.
Hey Ritchie, next time you feel the need to go “slumming” with the folks who don’t get to breathe the rarified air at Monmouth, bring your “A’ game. So which is it Ritchie? Monmouth College (IL – Yechh!) or Monmouth University in (NJ — even worse).
The Wall Street Worshiper supports DEI by imposing it on its employees, you imbecile.
The amount of Americans who own stock is irrelevant to the yellow journalism nature of the WSJ, and the Gallup figure is as phony as all Gallup figures are. Besides, the vast majority of Americans who own stocks own them through mutual funds they got without seeking them and were chosen by corrupt people and organizations. And the majority of Americans who own stock lose money on it.
The only stock you own is in your local gay bars and bath houses, of course. You raise money for ActBlue at your favorite glory hole buffets, don’t you?
Intrepid,
Ritchie sure is dumb enough to be a perfessor of some “woke” studies program but he’s probably some student dorkmo who spends a lot of time trolling conservative websites because he can’t get laid.
75 yrs old, retired after 44 yr career. Never fired. quite one job and found a better one.
Ya, the good old days when, …Skill made its own luck.
I to feel very sorry for young workers and families today.
Treasonous Democrats/RINO’s selling America out, Illegal Aliens, H-1b, Covid, Fake Vaxx, Institutional betrayal, Inflation, 36 T National Debt. Leftist BS destroying education.
Only two jobs and retired? The good old days, when society had obstacles but treasonous D-Bags and RINOs didn’t create as many as possible for all Americans except the moneyed interests they colluded with. Scummy parasites.
Thank you. The suicide stats are that men account for 80% of suicides, and White men alone account for 75% of suicides. Yet there are 10 federal offices for women’s health, but not one office for men’s health.
Thanks Bruce, excellent article.
Great piece. The article is great as well.
Goldteeth, aren’t you ever serious?
Funnier than you ever will be.
I find THX very funny….
…in a he steps on rakes sort of way. °

As for feminists…
… send them flowers. 💐
Allan, keep in mind that feminists in Congress made sure that there is 3 times more taxpayer funding spent on breast cancer than prostate cancer.
Frank,
as I’m sure you know, prostate cancer is far more common than breast cancer and usually inoperable by the time it’s detected. (Us straight guys don’t like rectal exams.)
And don’t get me started on the prevalence of women’s hospitals.
Why should he be? Life is short and although chicks aren’t the only thing, they’re the top thing. Nothing else really matters without them.
Especially the ones who cook Italian cuisine!
I prefer along the lines of Willie Dixon’s famous lyrics
Deep, deep stuff. “…chicks aren’t the only thing, they’re the top thing.”
I’m sure you won’t mind me including another of your posts.
“President Trump’s tariffs always produce beneficial results for America, which is why America’s enemies, of which you are one, oppose them.”
Get someone who understand statistics to explain to you the econometric studies about tariffs. And based on your deep logic, I guess anyone who points to the logical, demonstrable downsides of tariffs is an enemy of America. Brilliant!
And of course you can’t refute what I wrote because it’s the truth, you eunuch. I just had a morning dose of a chick with her ankles pinned behind her ears like a big butt Bugs Bunny. And if I ask her to go around the corner and buy me a beer, she will.
What did you have? Oh, yeah. Nothing.
WSJ, just another junk tabloid.
And its economic predictions are nearly always wrong and it writes articles designed to benefit the business interests it colludes with.
Deep, deep stuff. “…chicks aren’t the only thing, they’re the top thing.”

Missed some of the gems in this post but I’m adding them to the list.
“And its economic predictions are nearly always wrong and it writes articles designed to benefit the business interests it colludes with.”
The following is from today’s New York Post from an essay by Steve Forbes and Stephen Moore titled “Tax Cuts Before Tariffs–Why Trump Must Put the Fragile Economy First”:
“He has admitted that his tariff policy may cause ‘short term pain for long term gain.’ That’s true — because tariffs are taxes. They will raise prices. ”
Tell us again how tariffs are not intended to raise prices. But maybe the New York Post is also a leftist rag like the WSJ…
President Trump has already reduced regulations and taxes and that IS NOT a direct quote from him.
F-
The new editors of the WSJ have changed their focus from insightful international news to fashion fluff. I cancelled my subscription after 40 years of readership and I ‘m a woman.
DCP
That would be Editor in Chief, Emma Tucker. The WSJ isn’t as snobbish and conceited as it used to be but if I cared who won the top DEI Oscars this year I’d read “People” “Entertainment” or “BET.”
Because no one would ever just skip a section of a newspaper that was of no interest to them right?
Here’s a photo of me reading the articles on fashion and the Oscar–> <–
(That photo is identical to the one of you actually looking up evidence about the impact of tariffs.)
Why are you wearing a pink tutu in that photo?
Thank you, Diana, that is commendable.
I feel bad for the husband she managed to bag. Looks and intelligence don’t always go together.
He’s an entertainment lawyer, probably as vacuous as she is.
Really⁉️
Entertainment lawyers get loads of tail❗
This explains her motive. 😠
Yes, I hear roofies make great ice breakers. 😛
Now that’s funny! Good one, Jeff.
She seems to have lost both those races.
If her hubby sees the evidence of her anti-white male bigotry, he better get with a divorce lawyer that specializes in divorce for men right away. Husbands are the first low-hanging fruit for feminists to sink their claws into.
I was so pissed off about our local City Council adopting a DEI committee (the Cleveland Plain Dealer called it “The anti-racism task force”), that I took a deep dive into all aspects of it. And clearly, Rufo and Lindsay were on the forefront of the scholarship.
The main reason I followed this topic so closely was that it so closely resembles the very mind control games the North Vietnamese used on our POWs in the Hanoi Hilton.
And attending the Navy’s Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) School back in the late 80’s, the Navy was still teaching anti-Marxist brainwashing techniques. Apparently, that’s a verboten topic nowadays.
I’m stoked to hear that Hegseth ordered all DEI related gibberish, posters, hard drives etc. to be archived. They’ll definitely need to add a large new wing to the Museum of Marxism.
“But why would the Wall Street Journal, one of the few remaining bastions of reasonably sane commentary in the legacy media, choose to run such a piece – especially since its most steadfast readers are, by and large, white males?”
So everybody can chuckle at the country club cocktail party, including the owners of the WSJ, of course.
So did you chuckle or do you long to part of the cultural elite from Central Casting…….Like Rand desperately wanted to be.
You reek of wannabe intellectual jealousy.
Yet another example of how the WSJ has deteriorated over the past decade. The Murdoch kids and their accomplices have taken a trustworthy organ of market-based reporting and commentary and dumbed it down to the level of a lifestyle newsletter. With any luck, a deep-pocketed entrepreneur will buy Dow Jones, sack most of the WSJ staff (including Peggy Noonan, PLEASE), and restore it to its Bancroft-era glory.
The WSJ is no longer what it once was. The news pages went years (decades) ago, and the opinion page is just becoming another outlet for swamp conventional wisdom. Overall, the paper is following the path blazed by the Financial Times. Meaning that the Lipman piece is a confirming signal, not a harbinger.
Yep. Crusty old fans need to get used to the fact that the WSJ sucks and has for a lot of years now.
Tell us about the readership of the WSJ again. That was some funny stuff. Allow me to quote you:
“As if ordinary people benefit from the stock market, which is crooked as the year is long. “How to think?” A sure prelude to lies and manipulation, every time that’s written. The WSJ’s vested interest in particular tariffs and stocks are part of why it’s so corrupt, wrong and suckworthy.”
The evidence of the corruption you provide is here–> <–

What is that? Your open sphincter? Point that thing somewhere else, Obama.
Jeff, you have your own personal troll. I think he secretly admires you. .
Either that or he’s gay for me.
Investors business daily is the real financial newspaper
And no doubt you’ll explain why “Investor’s Business Daily” changed to being published only weekly. Shouldn’t the name be changed to “Investor’s Business Weekly?” Maybe it still “identifies” as a daily…
Go to your local hall of records and try to suss out what properties in the exurbs are being purchased at top dollar by straw purchasers. (Those would include bigwigs who have knowledge of upcoming developements — including congressmen btw.)
Try to get in on some of that action….but don’t buy any low properties…..lest you get screwed by phoney claims of “You have a ‘wetland’ and cannot make any changes to it.”
Stay near to where the politicians make their corrupt 💰💰💰 and you can make spillover profits.
Yes, the Pelousy, Newscum, Browneye, Getty-Rich and Fiendstain crime families in California know all about that.
The goal of feminism was never equality; it was hegemony. That is why we have the all-female Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, Asheville NC and St. Paul MN city councils, and seven out of eight seats on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Things are going to get ugly when more white men discover that they are all the sailors while their chief is femald, and LEOs when they are all the patrolmen out on the street while the police commissioners and sheriffs are female as well. How many men will agree to dying for a country run by childless women exempt from the draft?
Thanks, you are correct. There are also the three lesbian fire chief and two assistant fire chiefs in Los Angeles. One of them commented that if a female firefighter could not rescue a man from a fire, it was the man’s fault for being there.
The head unqualified dyke has since been fired by Mayor Karen Ass because her integral role in the citywide DEI and Uber “woke” policies which caused the Pacific Palisades firestorm which spread to neighboring Malibu. Da Mayor had to engage in some image control.
Frequent commenter Jeff Bargholz can explain this. You see, according to him , the Wall Street Journal is a “liberal rag.” He informs us that it is not widely read and that most of its viewership is really just orders from libraries. (He doesn’t explain why libraries order it if so few read it.)
I start my days reading the WSJ, along with Frontpagemag, To its credit, the WSJ often features op-eds that come from a leftist perspective., including a frequent column from liberal William Galston. The comment section of the WSJ is often very insightful. It’s unlikely you’ll find any commenters stating that tariffs aren’t intended to raise prices as the readers have a good grasp of economics.
It’s unfair to refer to the WSJ as a “liberal rag.” It’s digital edition sucks just as badly as the print one, and I don’t use the reverse reality term “liberal” to describe lefties. It isn’t widely read and lost 15% of its readers last year – up until November, that is. Once Heels Up Harris began her campaign for President, newspapers stopped reporting on their subscriber numbers because they lost thousands upon thousands of them based on their favorable reporting on the Kamel-Ho. That means their already tiny subscriber numbers became even tinier.
The vast majority of libraries, library districts and especially school libraries are run by lefties who range from delusional to full on “woke.”
There is nothing creditable about running “woke” articles. Lies and insanity are not desirable bases of journalism.
People who oppose President Trump’s tariffs have a good grasp of denying reality and not much else.
If you keep stalking me you’re going to end up having your sex offender status revealed on the nightly news in your area.
I didn’t get around to copying these brilliant remarks but have now added them to the others. Thank you for the contributions.
Thank you for taking time from your trans studies course to show people how ridiculous “woke” TDS trolls are.
Maybe this explains the WSJ of today! Thanks Jeff Bargholz for this insight (copied below) on WSJ readers:
“Only neocons and libertarians read that rag, and they’re all scumbags.”
Since Bruce Bawer clearly reads the paper, what would that make him according to Jeff’s statement?
A guy who misses the old days when the WSJ didn’t feature misandrist lies as legitimate articles? Like you miss the days when guys used to shower together.
Been married 44+ years, Jeff. How about you?
Take that cap off. We know what you’re trying to hide.
Let me entertain you since you’ve unintentionally been entertaining for me. On my office door is a note with the following: “Men are 9 times as likely as women to go to prison. According to the logic of DEI, this can only be explained by systemic misandry.” Guess whose comments I’ll be putting up along side that?
I’m thinkin’ “People who oppose President Trump’s tariffs have a good grasp of denying reality and not much else.,”
How many sock puppets do you use, trolltard? And I didn’t know trannies could get married 44 years ago.
It’s pretty sick that you call your glory hole toilet stall and “office.” Get some Chapstick.
You pointed out an example of the Whacko stupidity of DEI in an effort to defend it? DERP.
Yes, luminaries in the field of economics like George Will and Paul Krugman criticize President Trump’s successful tariff policies. So would the two most influential economists in history and two of your personal heroes, Marx and Engels, if they were still alive, I’m sure.
Economics isn’t a science and economists aren’t scientists. That would explain why those witch doctors are always wrong except on those rare occasions when they guess right for the wrong reasons.
You lefties only cite economists because many of them stupidly and dishonestly oppose President Trump’s successful tariffs and regulation busting. And you D-Bags cite the Wall Street Journal because its editorials and editorials disguised as news oppose President Trump’s tariffs and you think conservatives take that source of yellow journalism seriously.
We don’t. We aren’t interested in cute animal photos, how many hoes Elon Musk porks, DEI Oscar Awards or TDS.
Hey Richard, if you get prostate cancer, you will learn that feminists in Congress made sure that breast cancer gets three times more funding than prostate cancer. That isn’t DEI, that is feminism.
Hey Richard, does Monmouth know you’re doing this stuff on your work email?
Commenting in the comment section of various publications? Why don’t you inform them of it and please, include my actual comments. I stand by them. In fact, I will be making a public presentation on campus regarding tariffs. I have every intention of including some of the really dumb comments such as “tariffs don’t increase prices.”
So you have your soap box and paper funnel blowhorn ready? Make sure to bring a hand scrawled sign.
It’s not like he actually works or studies.
“blamed others for their job losses, educational failures, economic problems and drug addictions….Somebody else is always at fault. The mighty white guy, it turns out, is quite the delicate flower”
Thanks for the article Bruce, We must be about the same age and that long ago, friends of mine with high marks and high SAT scores (back when the test was difficult) were denied access to large public universities because of their sex and melanine levels.
The point is no one complained past the point of noticing the inequity. My peers just put their heads down and made shit happen. They found work and made admirable adults of themselves. What makes the Progs fume is that all their shenanigans, all their mocking, all the road blocks didn’t slow any of us down, no one even acknowledged the insults, we went to work. To those who live to provoke, those actions are like rat poison. It drives them to flap about like lunatics.
Most, not all, white males will do what is necessary to provide, to and including eating sawdust and crappin’ 2X4s.
Living well is the best revenge.
I get aggravated when I read about people like this women and the world she lives in. I am one of those “white guys” who came out of high school, took any job I could get until I landed a job as a carpenter helper. Learned a skill there that served me all my life. I took a break from building houses to start my own lawn service business. Ran that for nearly ten years and THEN went to college. Not really to learn much but to just have that personal achievement. (A minor degree in psych/soc just for personal interest.) From there I went to work for a State agency for job security and a pension.
My point being, in all my life did I ever run across anyone like this woman or her ilk. I’m from the working class so I worked, I contributed something of value to society and I took care of myself and my family without a single thought about my “white privilege”. I don’t complain about successful women or BIPOC’s nor do I feel threatened by their growing numbers in the work force. What pisses me off is the people, like this woman, who has never, in her life, known or socialized with anyone like me. Yet, she has it all figured out She knows how guys like me feel about the world I live in. The one she can only perceive through her “highly educated” and wealthy perch that allows her to sound off, to those like her, about a world that makes all her amenities possible. Those same white guys that make it possible for her to take a shit in a bathroom larger than my living room or to lounge on a patio gazing over her olympic sized swimming pool. Fuck her and her “upper class” mentality. Her perceptions prove she is just another one of those “educated stupid” people who can’t see past her own ignorance. Her world and mine never meet. Whatever it is she “contributes to society” has no value to me. She might want to look around the physical world she lives in before she degrades the “whiney white men” she looks down on.
“But why would the Wall Street Journal, one of the few remaining bastions of reasonably sane commentary in the legacy media, choose to run such a piece – especially since its most steadfast readers are, by and large, white males?”
Because when Emma Tucker became Editor in Chief in February 2023, she changed the periodical’s content to make it appeal to a wider audience. That means that since then it still publishes articles about the economy, Wall Street and other stuffy, starched shirt stuff like that but also publishes articles that appeal to other types of readers. That’s why it prints the traditional pompous and pretentious stuff alongside salacious and unsubstantiated gossip about Elon Musk’s supposedly weird sex life and drug use, and put a cute kitty cat on its front page.
Right now, the Wall Street Journal’s editorials and “objective” articles are dominated by claims that President Trump’s tariffs policies are bad or ineffective, Tesla is financially troubled because of Elon Musk’s relationship with the President, Zelenskyy is good, Putin is bad and other ridiculous bullshit.
The attitudes of the WSJ’s steadfast, white, male readers don’t matter as much as its attempts to appeal to readers of different and usually conflicting attitudes. Its print and digital editions have no real differences in content.
I think the people who liked the pedantic and boring format the periodical use to purvey will just have to get used to its new Fox News style, celebrity lifestyles, cute animals and all, because that’s what you’re going to get for the foreseeable future.
He’s right, you know . . .
Yes, he’s right that the Wall Street Journal is alienating its traditional readers with “woke” misandrist articles. I didn’t claim otherwise.
We just have different preferences in periodicals because I think the Journal has always been pedantic and boring and I hate incorrect economic predictions, which they almost always are. I understand why some other people used to like it, though.
She quotes All in the Family, which was canceled before she was born.
And the Archie Bunker character was funny. That stupid show tried to make him detestable but viewers liked him the most and didn’t like the characters of Meathead and his women’s lib slut wife at all.
Natural evolution has made women subordinate to males in a prehistoric environment. Men of science made women less subordinate and men less dominate. What we have now are females who want to use the power of the state to complete the trend, not toward equality as claimed, but toward dominance by females. For them, no matter how powerful they become in any modern venue, they will always feel inferior in the bedroom. Lesbianism and the trans movement are obvious symptoms of it. But, not willing to admit the truth drives them to cover for their envy and outrage with blanket attacks on the ethics of all men.
I barely know what WSJ publishes these days. I’ve subscribed off and on over the years, but in 2017 the paper burned it’s bridges with me. They weren’t bothering to hide their censorship of their readers’ comments. It was obvious, a lot of the censoring was of true but unflattering comments about the Democrat Party.
I still read the occasional non-paywalled WSJ article, and I can see from readers’ comments they’re still censoring.
I’ve sworn to myself they’ll never get another nickel from me. I’m not going to pay to be censored.
Yes and lefties like to cite the Wall Street Journal because they think conservatives respect its editorials and editorials disguised as articles.
If I recall correctly, I cancelled my Wall Street Journal subscription during the Reagan administration. There was far too much counterfactual reporting, and the editorial page was bizarre. Did it somehow improve in the interim, only to fall off the cliff again?
unless my eyes deceive me isnt she white !? and im assuming married to a white guy . [ white privilege obviously doesnt apply to her elite set ] never mind , its a lovely photo op of a privileged white vacuous woman who lives on the corporate ladder in an ivory tower in a house not in the bronx . she now has her 5 mins. of fame to promote the drivel that comes out of most high end rags called magazines . unfortunately these are the shakers and movers who dont have to live with the disastrous policies they promote . VDHanson and TSowell are correct . lipman , part of the coastal elite at their best or worse depending on your views .
Hi, I’m 72 and a life long practicing Christian. I’m going to rock the boat. Men do not need to ask permission from women to do what GOD Almighty commanded them to do. What did GOD Almighty tell men to do … you may ask? He told men to be the head of ALL things and men do NOT need to ask permission. What will happen if they do their job right … well women and children will be protected. If men do not obey GOD women will suffer so badly that the only results will be sadness and confusion. HELL on earth. GOD did NOT tell Adam … well son you are more special and I’m giving you control. Adam was read the RIOT Act of GOD. It was NOT a pretty sight. Men are the head of the family and the woman is the support system of everything going well and she is HIGHLY regarded by GOD in her job. If humanity obeys GOD we would not be in this mess. GOD would/will heal our land. Be Blessed.
I think by now everyone is aware that the acronym stands for Division, Exclusion & Iniquity…
