The government should not be in the business of redistributing money to the universities at all.
This is the reason school vouchers are a really bad idea. Once the school and the parents are dependent upon the vouchers they also become vulnerable to government mandates or have voucher money taken away from them.
He who pays the piper calls the tune:
So those who cannot afford a private alternative should just continue sending their children to lousy schools?
Without the voucher, the child is subject to the mandate that he attend the local public school.
This is a separate issue from whether government should be providing money to universities at all.

America is arguably the leader in innovation and research because of funding and academic freedoms, now threatened, aided and abetted by the Jewish Lobby, in league with Trumps sinister agenda, all under the guise of the False Flag of antisemitism, which in truth is anti-Zionism. Jews will be remembered for this attack on academia and freedoms, including an increase in anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism by the educated Christian American youth.
And post-Gaza Genocide, no People or their supporters will have more reason for antisemitism and/or anti-Zionism than Palestinians.
