When Salt Lake City took down the Fleet Block buildings, the mural of violent thug George Floyd, who robbed a pregnant woman at gunpoint and was buried in a golden coffin for dying of a drug overdose while trying to fight police officers, became collateral damage.
Even as a George Floyd memorial falls, there is hope that American statues will rise again.
The Trump administration’s Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History executive order takes on abuses at the Smithsonian and also seeks to rescue statues vandalized and buried by BLM rioters and their political allies , especially in left-wing cities.
Section 4 of the executive order calls for the Secretary of the Interior to “take action to reinstate the pre-existing monuments, memorials, statues, markers, or similar properties” and “ensure that all public monuments, memorials, statues, markers, or similar properties within the Department of the Interior’s jurisdiction do not contain descriptions, depictions, or other content that inappropriately disparage Americans past or living (including persons living in colonial times), and instead focus on the greatness of the achievements and progress of the American people or, with respect to natural features, the beauty, abundance, and grandeur of the American landscape.”
America is healing.
Fentanyl Hooping Floyd, the Democrats Idol.
G-d blessed America
When He voted for Trump last July.
Hopefully we won’t make a mess of things.
God voted for Trump?? Last July??
The fact that a Bolt of Lightning Destroyed his Memorial just odd or else
The Romans took those Omens very seriously 🙂
The left promotes violence and chaos to promote their radical agenda. They are liars, fraudsters and corrupt people.
The democrats are totally out of touch with the reality that Americans are tired of their ideas, their violent rhetoric, and total lack of any class at all. That Trump won such an amazing comeback turning most of the country red shows how badly the party is right now.
That’s not going to help the hundred year old Robert E. Lee statue that got melted down.
I know! Such a shame. A true American hero, that R.E. Lee. What was he fighting for again??
Robert E. Lee’s motivations for fighting in the Civil War can be understood through his own statements, particularly from letters and writings where he expressed his views. Lee was a complex figure, deeply tied to his home state of Virginia and a sense of duty, rather than an ardent defender of slavery as an ideological cause.
In a letter to his wife, Mary Anna Lee, written on December 27, 1856, Lee reflected on slavery, calling it “a moral & political evil in any Country.” He suggested he viewed it as a problematic institution, though he also wrote that its abolition should be left to “a wise Merciful Providence” rather than human intervention, indicating a reluctance to support immediate emancipation. This shows he wasn’t fighting primarily to preserve slavery as a personal crusade.
When the Civil War loomed, Lee’s decision to side with the Confederacy came down to loyalty to Virginia. In April 1861, after being offered command of Union forces by General Winfield Scott, Lee declined. In a letter to his sister, Anne Marshall, on April 20, 1861, he wrote: “With all my devotion to the Union and the feeling of loyalty and duty of an American citizen, I have not been able to make up my mind to raise my hand against my relatives, my children, my home. I have therefore resigned my commission in the Army, and save in defense of my native State, with the sincere hope that my poor services may never be needed, I hope I may never be called on to draw my sword.” This reveals that his primary motivation was defending Virginia, not a broader Confederate ideology.
Later, in a letter to his son, Custis Lee, on January 23, 1861, he expressed hope to avoid war, stating, “I can anticipate no greater calamity for the country than a dissolution of the Union… Still, a Union that can only be maintained by swords and bayonets… has no charm for me.” Yet, once Virginia seceded, his allegiance followed, as he saw it as a matter of honor and duty.
In short, in Lee’s own words, he fought for Virginia—his “native State”—out of a sense of loyalty and obligation, rather than a passionate commitment to slavery or secession. His writings suggest a man conflicted about the war’s causes but bound by regional ties.
The Vandals who pulled Down the Statues should face Big Fines and time in Jail they in fact should pay for the vandalized Statues right from their own pockets
Eh, I think the South should’ve had to pay for all the damage they caused in the Civil War and for all the people they kidnapped but they got statues of their loser generals instead. I can’t think of a nation that glorifies those who attack us as much as the USA does, so let’s just call it even with the statue vandalism.
..a good beginning!🙂👍🏼
As the great statesman Robert F. Kennedy Jr stated, oops, wrong great statesman ….
As the Great Statesman Benjamin Frankly has been quoted when a lady outside the adjourning of the Constitutional Congress asked Ben: “So, governor, what kind of a nation did y’all create?”
“Madam, we created a republic, if you can keep it”
I wish I could say that the UK is on the way to healing too – but I’ve got this horrible feeling that we might have to get worse before we can get better – the UK Government is trying to bring in an extreme definition of Islamophobia, which criminalises non-Islam-affirmative understandings of history (the UK Sikhs have protested because commemorating their Gurus who were martyred by Muslims could be deemed Islamophobic) and non-Quranic theology, like daring to say that Mohammed was not on a par with Moses or King David. The misbegotten definition equates “Islamophobia” with racism, i.e., “Muslimness”, as they describe it, is viewed as inborn and immutable, like race. Obviously being hurt over a characteristic that you neither chose, nor can change, is the apogee of victimhood (though logically that ought to mean that none of us infidels can convert either, and ought to make penalties for apostasy redundant). Even saying that Allah has not given Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria to the Muslims (being as they are not his to give) could in due course be seen as an attack. I would be most grateful if you would consider signing the CitizenGO petition on this topic (and will gladly return the favour if opportunity arises)

Sadly, the UK has all but surrendered to the dictates of Islam. The government repeatedly subjects their citizens to a de facto, self-inflicted dhimmitude allowing their young women to be groomed, gang raped and further enslaved by these same Muslim monsters and they do nothing. Censorship abounds so that even one’s opinions must be subservient to the dictates of Islam.
Your freedoms are already on the ropes and your “inclusive” government is actually the devastating, unidentified, Trojan horse operating in the name of multiculturalism as your country, history and long-valued traditions are being willfully destroyed. We all saw what happened to Tommy Robinson and the progression of living in constant cultural uncertainty, with the possibility of arrest for standing against the de facto Islamic state operating within your country. While it should make all of your citizens shudder, it may be that your overwhelming tradition of keeping “a stiff upper lip” instead of engaging in nationwide protests against this abomination to your freedoms, will ultimately result in you needing to know Shar’ia law. Starmer is a leftist, Islamist sycophant leading the way. For all of your sakes and that of other western nations, I truly hope that I am wrong, but thus far it looks as though the Islamic goal of destroying western civilization in Europe is right on track and Britain may be the first to go.
Not so sure on the “healing”. Consider this. I’d be interested in your thoughts. The current Tesla madness is eerily similar to 11/9/38. You know what that is. Far too many have forgotten or never learned it in the first place.
