In the acrimonious climate of the current political debate, the biggest lie of all is told by Republicans who claim that Democrats are in disarray because they have no message to persuade voters to support them. Actually, they do have a message. But it is a message so obvious, destructive and forbidding that it offends Republicans so profoundly they would prefer not to recognize it, so they don’t.
But Democrats do have a message, which is this: Every policy of the Trump administration that is designed to make America safer, stronger, wealthier and more prosperous is a policy that must be resisted, sabotaged – obstructed by any means necessary. Worse, its proponents should be demonized and marginalized as extremists, dyed-in-the-wool fascists, enemies of democracy, and aspiring Hitlers.
What does this look like in the context of the real world and America’s cold war with heavily armed nuclear adversaries and totalitarian enemies, who have made no bones about their desire to destroy us? In this context, the Democrats’ divisive strategies weaken America, give comfort and aid to our enemies, and undermine our efforts to defend ourselves.
As his first acts in office Biden illegally opened our borders to somewhere between 10 and 20 million unvetted aliens, many of them with long criminal records, many on the terrorist watch list. Rejecting the results of the 2024 elections which showed the vast majority of Americans thought this dangerous and unwise, Democrats have dedicated themselves to obstructing the Trump administration’s efforts to deport the criminals that Biden subsidized and welcomed. This reflects poorly on Democrats’ concern for the safety of their fellow citizens and projects weakness to potential enemies seeking to infiltrate and invade our country.

I have to tell you that they are neither. What they are, they are EVIL, bent on destroying the USA.

We’ve been in a cold civil war since Clinton wsa president.
A cold war that up until Trump, the democrats were winning. For the time being, with Trump in office again, it’s a stalemate. But once Trump is gone, the dems will resume winning the “cold war.”
Why? Because other than Trump, for the most part republicans tend to be feckless and unwilling to stand up to democrats and are quick to seek a compromise with them. Just to remind everyone, compromise to the democrats means you agree with them.
Proof? Obama punked the republicans whenever it suited him (e.g., Operation Fast and Furious, IRS abuses, Benghazi, Hillary Clinton’s private email service, DACA, etc., etc.). And when the republicans had the votes to repeal the ACA (Obamacare), what did they do? Also to a lesser extent, so did Joe Biden.

What makes the Republicans feckless and unwilling to fight for Laissez-Faire Capitalism? They share the same fundamental moral code as do the Democrats namely altruism and self-sacrifice for others. Who will take care of the poor? Who will take care of old? The sick? Who will take care of the so-called marginalized? Who will take care of the victims of the world? We must have a government safety net, which is just another way of saying we must have a little bit of socialism. But if a little bit socialism is good it stands to reason more socialism is better and complete socialism is best of all.
When you hire bodyguards (Republicans) to protect you from your destroyers (Democrats) and the bodyguards turn out to share the same moral code as your destroyers, and therefore end up helping your destroyers destroy you, then those bodyguards are morally lower than your destroyers.
Just look at John McCain, he went to Vietnam to fight communism only to return to the US to vote for socialism.

Obviously you don’t like that person and I think I know why. I’m not wired to dislike someone just because they have opinions I disagree with and vice versa, I’ve disagreed with THX 1138 on several occasions and have said as much but that doesn’t mean I dislike him. Why should I? That would be illogical.
General George S. Patton once said to the effect that if everyone is thinking alike, then someone is thinking.
Besides, the hallmark of a liberal is to instinctively dislike anyone they disagree with or who does not agree with them. Neo-conservatives (aka, pseudo-conservatives) tend to exhibit that characteristic. As Rush Limbaugh once said, neo-conservatives are typically former liberals who got mugged by reality.

What does Objectivism mean by “non-sacrificial” ? It means that charity must be private, voluntary, rational, and not harmful to the giver or the recipient.

Why torture yourself thinking such thoughts when it’s abundantly clear that they will never be held accountable? Who’s going to stop them, republicans? Disabuse yourself of that notion.

If we must choose between the Evil Party and the Stupid Party, we choose the Stupid Party. President Trump is trying to mobilize the Stupid Party to save America, and must tread carefully to avoid losing their support. At the same time, his real supporters are trying to educate the Stupid Party and to replace the hopelessly stupid elected representatives of that party with better skilled and aware representatives. Since the window is closing on saving our republic, the balancing act of sustaining Stupid Party support to act for Americans and converting the party to one of competence and awareness is very delicate and fraught with risk. But the only hope of maintaining a free America is for this difficult task to be done.

Why are the democrats in bed with China? I think they don’t want to admit that they view the Chinese as being so powerful and ruthless as to launch a nuclear/biological war on the US that we can’t survive as the last resort to our MAGA ambitions. Their actions and policies are intended to simply appease the Chinese and ultimately surrender to them.
